Been a while since I visited - I'll try to be kind as I can - Received 5 Onion Rings - which rather skimpy - the worst part was they were cold The waitress was great took them back with my plate - they were kind enough to return with extra onion rings that were warm - but the my had reheated the ones I sent back - the original Orings came back burned - unable to eat them - They also came back in a bowl - My Hamburger had no plate - it was kind of fun eat off a napkin -- until the manager noticed & brought me a plate - I didn't complain about the Burger - we ordered 2 burgers at the table - asked for both to be Pink - Both burgers were over cooked - One to med well and one to well done - I already felt like I complained enough - I didn't sent it back - neither did the other person at the table - but she's a regular -- I was able to drown mine in ketchup to offset the char- I think the kitchen staff need some extra training - Giving a 2 because overall the waitress was sweet - and funny made my parents happy with her Banter- Manager noticed I was eating off of a napkin - But the kitchen - wow- def not helping with securing repeat business read more

The appetizer basket consisted of 1 strip of riblets, a lukewarm quartered up chicken quesadilla and 5 lukewarm "almost" sauced buffalo chicken chunks. How in the world would that have been shared as an appetizer? I literally scraped the meat off of the emaciated riblet to create 1/2 of a forkful. My husband's steak was ordered rare but came to the table well done. Comparing our disappointments, he decided to eat what he could so that we could just cut our losses and never return. I ordered my food and waited about a half hour while other people around me were getting served who walked in after me. I ordered a simple chicken and fries. Takes about 10 minutes minutes to cook because I know how to cook. Plus there were like 12 people in the restaurant . I finally said I would like to take this to go as I have no time to eat it now. The heavy set blonde manager came out with the food and handed it to me and I said Thank you And as always getting up to leave she said in front of everybody "did you pay?". We were looking for a fairly quick dinner so stopped into Applebees. We were promptly seated pretty and quickly ordered a beer and a blue margarita (unfortunately I forgot what it was called, I think that it might have had Dwayne Johnson tequila or something similar) and the appetizer sampler platter. Both the margarita and the appetizer platter were large lol. I ended up having 2 margaritas and they were pretty weak but tasted good but very sweet. The app platter consisted of a small serving of spinach artichoke dip and tortilla chips, several boneless wings, a quesadilla, and mozzarella sticks. Sauces were blue cheese, ranch, marinara, and salsa. It was pretty good! Truth be told that would have been fine for a meal for 2. But I went ahead and ordered the southwest chicken bowl as well. It was marinated grilled chicken sitting atop cilantro rice with corn salsa, guacamole, pico, some romaine lettuce, and tortilla strips. I'd definitely order this again. Ok so first off went here with my family and we all sat down and something smelled funny. Ordered are drinks and then food and after the drinks came I noticed it was not what I ordered so I sat there and then after we got the food the smell came back was the waitress smelled like she had no deodorant on witch was not what I wanted to smell while I was trying to eat. Then I brought to the waitress attention that I don't think it was what I ordered she said it was and instead of taken it back she told me nope she was right and I was wrong ok. So I did not drink it and then most of the food looked like a 5 year old cooked it and most of it was ice cold and very poorly made and we all agreed that something was off at this place and we probably will not be ever going back and to pay for something I did not drink and half the food was cold and nasty all three of us did not eat and got it to go and feed it to the dogs.and for a 90 dollar bill was by far one of the worst restaurants I have gone to in my life and would love for a full refund or something to come about this I would never recommend this Applebee's to anyone.....anywhere I have gone in my life customers are always right and some people just think there above everyone else. read more

The Hadley Applebee's in particular is far better than other Applebee's i've been to in the past. I had a Quesadilla burger with some fries and let me tell you, my mouth was watering bite after bite! The french fries were perfectly seasoned, crisp, and fresh. The burger itself was juicy and flavor packed. I washed this down with a signature Perfect Margarita, WOW. The bartender suggested I try her favorite flavor, pomegranate. Man was that amazing! Overall a great time, fun atmosphere, and upbeat attitude from the staff. The temperature of the restaurant is colder than the refrigerated section of Costco. Everyone had their jackets on and looked like they are Eskimos without a hat. We asked the server, Rebecca, if it is possible to turn on the heat, but she said "If I turn on the heat for this section, the entire restaurant's heat will also be on. So, sorry, I can't turn on the heat for you." Well, I guess I should have asked for a personal fireplace since Applebee's can't even afford turning on the heater for a little bit when most of the customers were literally shivering. With a glass of ice water in my hands, I guess I can at least expect for some warm food that can heal me from the frostbite. I asked about the rib plate on the menu and apparently the server thought that I am stupid. She was not rude while answering my questions but was definitely impolite. But anyway, I ordered the 25-dollar meal where we get 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. The steak was okay. But the rib plate, I have never ate a rib that was this cold, meatless and dry. I can tell that the fries on the side just came out of the fryer, I can also tell that the rib either just fell and got dragged on the floor for 5 times and someone decided to put some sauce (1 teaspoon) to cover up the dust or it was sent back from a freezing hell. She also had a horrible attitude and was throwing our check and change on the table. Arrived at 9pm. Most places are closed other than chain restaurants at this hour on a Monday. Took 30 minutes to get drinks at the bar. Server was overwhelmed with zero support from the seven staff on the floor and manager who couldn't perform any of the roles staff were tasked with. Sad to watch a young server try to service an entire bar and dining room while the rest of the staff walked aimlessly about or sat idly by pretending to do side work. Ice waters took 20 minutes and had to be from the kitchen. No glassware fore drinks at the bar. Yet there was seven staff in the front of house? Sad times when you watch customers get up and grab their own silverware and napkins from the wait stations. A manager should be running food, drinks, clearing tables, greeting guest, etc. Not leaving young staff to fend for themselves. Sign of the times for sure. Props to the young server on bar for doing her best. Her tips from us snd several other customers who all witnessed this shitshow reflected our awareness and appreciation. read more

Being that this Applebee's is in close proximity to my place of employment, we have eaten here many times as part of someone's birthday celebration, and for many end-of-semester celebrations. We usually arrive by 11:45 and are done by 1:45, so these are the only times I am able to comment on accurately. We generally have decent and timely service at this Applebees location. The wait staff are, for the most part, friendly and accommodating to our large groups, and they process our tax exempt credit card without issue. The food is pretty hit-or-miss. Sometimes everything is excellent, and sometimes food comes out cold, overdone, dripping in oil, or stale. I would say 70% of the time we have no issues, and the rest of the time there are minor issues that are easily remedied. Only once did we have a truly awful meal. But because of the distance/convenience, it's a place we tend to come back to. If you go in for lunch M-F, you should have an overall fine experience. Especially if you come in during the school year when business from the five colleges keep the food more fresh and the wait staff more chipper. read more

The Applebee's in Hadley is a place that I go frequently whenever my parents are up in Mass to visit me at school. It's pretty much a typical applebees, but deffinately worth going to. They have this deal now where you can get a 3 course meal for something cheap like 12.99. The chicken fingers platter is good, but I'd advise against the cheesecake, which was very dry and a dissapointment after seeing the yummy picture. read more

I just want to start off by first saying, I feel really terrible about only leaving you a $3 tip, but you deserved it. I hate leaving bad tips. I'm not trying to compare, but I've been a waitress for about 4 years of my life, and my friend and I definitely received terrible service at this Applebees on a Tuesday evening (~9PM). Our waitress was quick to get our drink orders (WATER), but after she took our appetizer orders, we waited more than 20 minutes to get them before she put in our meal orders. She didn't write down any part of our order and ended up not putting in a soup that my friend ordered and never received. I ordered some Asian tangy salad with no apples, which cost ~$10 but looked like sh!t. There were maybe 3 broken mandarin oranges in there tossed with wayyyy too much dressing and salad that looks like its been chilling outside the fridge since 1997. Poor experience. A lot of waiting. Whole dining experience was about 2 hours. Waitress overlooked us a lot because she was so worked up on her party of 7 college kids that came in 45 minutes after us. The sad part is, I'll probably come back here just because it's an upgrade form McDonalds/Burger King/Taco Bell because they have their 2/$20 deal. read more

Overall disappointed. I ordered a to-go meal, and I ordered my steak RARE, and when I got it, it was the farthest thing from rare. It was more in the range between medium-well and well, hardly a trace of pink at all. Furthermore, they provided no silverware with my meal, so I had to go back to the restaurant and ask for some, which meant my food was cooler already by the time I got to eat it. And finally, my "shark bowl" cocktail didn't include the gummy shark on top that it was supposed to. Not that I care much about the gummy shark, but my point is that the overall service was rather poor, and the food was not as I ordered it.
