Overall disappointed. I ordered a to-go meal, and I ordered my steak RARE, and when I got it, it was the farthest thing from rare. It was more in the range between medium-well and well, hardly a trace of pink at all. Furthermore, they provided no silverware with my meal, so I had to go back to the restaurant and ask for some, which meant my food was cooler already by the time I got to eat it. And finally, my "shark bowl" cocktail didn't include the gummy shark on top that it was supposed to. Not that I care much about the gummy shark, but my point is that the overall service was rather poor, and the food was not as I ordered it. Food quality was not the best. Ribs were meatless and overcooked as well as the steaks. Ceasar dressing was tasteless and watery. The plates were they served the steaks need to be changed. They look like they have cooked 2000 steaks and were not washed. French Onion soup was 3 stars out of 5. The carpet smelled like it was not vacuumed or cleaned up recently. We had decided to go here as we were tired after going on a long drive. We arrived and were greeted by a fantastic bartender Alexa. We have only recently discovered sitting at the bar is the best way to find out about the area and then to meet new people. Alexa was fab, not only making the best Margarita but also giving us a fab deep fried Oreo cookie!! She was plight funny and a good Applebee's representative. We had two entree's and were sooo full. The food here is okay, taste like any other Applebee's location. However, the waitress' inability to read a state I.D. is very bothersome. I have reason to believe either she can't read or believed it to be fake as our drinks took longer to arrive than our food, and were watered down significantly. If you believed that my party was underage, despite being shown identification, why serve watered down drinks when you could have not served us drinks at all? Didn't make much sense. I understand this is a college town and a lot of people have fakes, you should be trained or have the technology to know the difference...and if I'm paying for a $12 drink...I want $12 worth of liquor. read more

I'm a huge Applebee's fan...yet, after coming here initially thinking that a franchise restaurant is the same everywhere...NOT...the side order of sweet potato fries which you pay extra for portion was surprisingly very small...had to order another side order which was marginally more...strange...my wife asked for a medium rare steak...first one came well-done...the second one came basically raw..the management gave no care to check up on us and could care less when they heard of what happened...of a party of 4 only 3 of us were able to eat...shame read more

I haven't been to Applebee's in a long time. A large group of my family was in from out of town and 16 of us had no where to go. We called and this location was more than happy to accommodate us. I went to this Applebee's for dinner on Tuesday night, a ritual when my father drops me off at college, and was disappointed with the service for the first time. We could hear people complaining about the speed of the food and one customer behind us was incredibly upset. When the food arrived he claimed it was undercooked and got it remade. The manager covered his bill, but the customer was obviously still perturbed. Meanwhile, our table did not get even our appetizers for almost an hour. Just as we discussed leaving, the buffalo chicken bites came out. When we explained to the new waitress (our old waitress had 12 tables to handle and looked far too overwhelmed to even breathe) how long we waited, we watched the manager turn a blind eye to our issue. He walked to every table but ours and only came over when we expressed our distaste with the service. Even worse, a table that came after us got their meal and appetizer before those chicken bites even hit the table! I remember a women across us yelling, "That's bull! You've been waiting here forever." The manager did discount our meal by cutting it in half and he apologized for the slow service. He explained there was a leak (right above the kitchen door I might add. It was the only thing I could stare at since our plates were non-existent) and he couldn't manage the kitchen as effectively. Would I go there again? Maybe if I'm in Hadley and really craving something they have on the menu. Our food was alright enough for that. However, would I go out of my way? Probably not. read more

So they have the absolute BEST siracha Shrimp here.. It almost made the whole visit. It was so incredible in fact that if the earth was quaking.. We would've stayed put for the shrimp. However the waitresses and bartenders are very friendly are are happy to chat with us. One of our favorite spots for late night apps. Coming from a cook and a waitress, this place ROCKS. We waited 40 minutes to order drinks. It appeared as if the new waiter was not actually informed that we were in his section. The food didn't take a ridiculous amount of time after it was ordered but it was still extremely frustrating. We thought about leaving because it took so long. The restaurant wasn't crowded. Poor kitchen performance has been a recurring theme at this location for several years. We stopped going there for a long time because of long delays in getting food from the kitchen and food that was not cooked the way it was ordered. The wait staff has always been good and has to put up with grief from disgruntled customers and most likely reduced tips as a result. (not us as we know it is not the waitstaff's fault) We tried them again tonight and the result was the same as in the past. Great waitress but a kitchen that couldn't cook it's way out of a wet paper bag. We ordered the 2 for 22 and never got the appetizer until after the main course was served and finished and 3 attempts by servers to get them to us. Several tables around us that were there before us did not get served until after us which is disgraceful as their orders were no more complex than ours. It is time for Applebee's corporate to take a course in staff management and training because it does not matter how many waitstaff you have or how good they are, the place will still fail because of the inept kitchen staff and management thereof. read more

Awful service. Saw the waitress twice, they weren't even understaffed it was very slow! Took 15 minutes to get a waitress to ask if we wanted any drinks, and after we finally got food and ate we waited 20 minutes for the bill. Other wait staff acted as if we were invisible. Went here for the first time, my boyfriend had been previously and when Panera was way to busy for lunch we stopped in. A very nice man brought us to a table and accommodated the fact that my boyfriend is in a straight leg brace and needed a booth to spread out in. Our waitress, Amanda I believe, was very nice, very quick with our orders and answered my questions about my burger. I ordered the new caprese mozzarella burger and it was amazing. Little much with the onions, I couldn't even fit it in my mouth, but the flavors were just incredible. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Definitely will be stopping in again. read more

The hadley Ma Applebees is horrible.... My wife and I went there December 18.. She had the sirloin and all the vegetables were hard as a rock.. I got the shrimp with brockly and pasta.. And it was the smallest portion I have ever seen and it wasn't cheap and I had two pieces of broccoli.. The entire meal was bad.. I will say the manager did come over and apologize and I appreciate that. But still I have to say the food was a rip off.. Sorry but if I were you I would stay away from this place.. Chilis is a million times better and its right up the road read more

This restaurant use to be one of my favorite Applebee's, mostly because of this one waitress, with short hair( I feel bad for forgetting her name). She was hands down the best waitress I had ever had. The food is always consistent and good. But, I use to come here all the time, at least once a week.. Although, yesterday I had one of the worst waitresses ever. I believe her name was Heather, she was rude when she found out that we were ordering the half off appetizers. Maybe this is because she knew we weren't going to be getting very expensive food, but we were ordering drinks from the bar, so she had a chance to earn some money. She was rude while taking our order and when we asked to put the Celtics game on the TV, she said "well how about you order your food and then I will ask the bartender". The bartender was very nice, but the drinks were weak. After our food arrived, our waitress did not come to see how we were...NOT EVEN ONCE. We had three empty drinks on the table and no one had anything to drink left... She walked by us 12 times, yes we did count. There was no reason for us to call her over because I think its the waitresses job to see how you are and OBVIOUSLY fill up empty drinks. This is inexcusable and I never want someone out of a job but this woman NEEDS to go, she is not good at her job. read more
