Applebee's is not my favorite. We go back from time to time, because it's very conveniently located. On the last visit, service, even in a near-empty restaurant, was very slow. Worse, our server apparently completely forgot to submit one of the orders (for one of the children in our party). Even after waiting for a very long time, and having to hunt for the server, it took another very long while to finally get the missing meal, long after everybody else at the table had finished theirs. I've come to this location since I was a kid in the 90s and I just enjoy it. Service was great for an afternoon lunch rush. We got our food in a normal amount of time. My friend got these chicken wonton tacos for an app and they were really good. Then I got Buffalo wings and a side of fries. I really love their Buffalo sauce and my friend got a chicken salad of sorts. Our waitress was super fast and kept checking on us. All in all it's Applebees you either like the food or don't but everytime one good always a good experience and I've enjoyed what I've eaten. read more

We went to enjoy my birthday meal here. I ordered my steak medium rare, however when it came out it was well done. So I sent it back politely and asked for one that was medium rare.. Not too long after that the general manager Devin brought my steak out set it in front of me and said cut into it. I did and this is what I got a very rare steak.. it's definitely not medium rare. I told him I cannot eat this. He said well I'm not remaking you another one I made this myself and I tempted to 124 °.. As anyone can see this is not a medium rare steak. My girlfriend and I went on 1/30/25 walked in wasn't very busy we got seated and the hostess seemed not very pleased to have more customers we were seated given menus and she walked away we finally decided what we wanted and sat there for 30-45 minutes and no one came and even asked us what we wanted for drinks had multiple servers walk past us paying us no mind and looked back and saw 4-5 servers just chatting it up at the register when we walked out we noticed a couple being served that were not there when we walked in I have never seen anything like this in my whole life will never go back to that location!!! read more

However, a table that was sat across from us in a different servers section placed their order at the same time and left around the time we got our food. Went to Applebees for a spur of the moment dinner. Not too busy, so sat at bar top. Was greeted and served by bartender, Cheyenne. She was polite and suggested food options. Have always enjoyed a quick trip to Applebee's in the Mall. The lack of Coors Light on draft is disconcerting, but Yuengling on draft makes up for it. Out Yuengling drafts arrived and it looks as if we have taken some sips out of the glasses. We have not. I assume this is how the head/foam settled, but it would be nice to get a full glass. I ordered the endless Riblets and Fries basket with Honey BBQ sauce. It came out in a decent amount of time and the fries were hot, however, the ribs lacked sauce. It appeared that they barely put any sauce on them at all. I mentioned it to the server and she brought me a cup of sauce. When I got my refill of Riblets, the second set wasn't much better than the first. Normally, Applebee's has been better than this and I enjoy going there. I hope they make some changes. There is too much competition in Lafayette that is better than Applebee's that they need to excel at what they do. read more

Friday night we dined at Applebee's. We waited nearly an hour for our food. Some of what we got was barely warm, although everything tasted really very good. Our waitress was polite enough but very very busy and distracted. We had to ask her three times to get straws for our drinks. When it was time to pay, we tried to use the electronic device on the table. Somehow we were being charged for playing a game that we had never played. When we told the waitress she said there was nothing they could do about it; it was something we must have touched by mistake and she could not take it off of our bill. We kept asking why we got charged for something we didn't do and she said "well you must have pushed a button wrong" and she could not take it off the bill. We tried to convince her that we shouldn't have to pay for something we didn't do, but she would not even discuss taking it off the bill. I enjoyed the Honey Apple chutney and savored the two sides and meat but needed about twice the amount of chutney for the dish. The dish itself needed to double in size for $15.00! Pork is cheap and compared to the other food options in the mall's food court I felt cheated - should've gotten the salmon at Town & Gown across the river at the $15 price point. Overall definitely not an all star cast and lacking attention to detail and service. The Applesbees mobile app needs to sync gift cards like Starbucks and Steak n Shake do. I understand that finding decent workers are hard to find during this pandemic, but the past few times my wife and I have picked this location to eat it has had terrible service. The waitress seem to hate their jobs, no emotion, on drugs etc. we've waited 20-30 minutes each time while tables are clearly open and ready for the next guest. Applebees in the Tippecanoe mall. Should've known better than to come here, considering the last time I visit, several in the group I was with (not including myself) had food poisoning the next day. First time at Applebee's and it was absolutely horrible. We waited 45 minutes for wings and ribs. Then we told the busser/host that our food cold and she went to get our server KYLE. He came back took our plates and it took almost 30 minutes to get our remake. My friends ribs were cold the first time and still came back cold the second time. I know they can be hit or miss with a lot of people, but I have personally only had 1 so-so experience ever since Applebee's has been in town. I like my steak rare. That's how it ALWAYS comes out to me. Staff almost always bends over backwards to give me great service. If service is slow, it's either because of training new people, or it's so busy it's an hour wait to get in. Twice it's been a server that should have picked a different industry to work in. This place always seems to be pretty packed, it's probably because we just don't have a lot of restaurants on the west side. As Applebee's go, this one is pretty good. It's located inside the mall, next to the main entrance, and can be entered from inside or outside the mall. Mostly busy all the time, but I have never had to wait for a table here. The 2013 lunch menu is pretty good. I had the California Shrimp Salad that has big chunks of avocado, black olives and generous shrimp. It's on a choose-two lunch menu, and I would make a double order next time. It's really that good. Service is always good and fast here. Not one of my go-to dining choices, but it's nice for a change of pace. read more

Always love coming here! It's great place to grab a quick bite to eat that isn't typical food court food. I haven't been able to do a sit down here seeing as that I usually run in here for their to-go menu and head out. Their service is fast, efficient and always friendly! I'm staring to become a regular and they usually have my order ready to go when I drop by. Always liked coming here over the years when I visit my family in the area - but however I was COMPLETELY blown away by the service and workers etiquette that I saw today. Stacey behind the bar was super "nice" to her customers to get a tip, but to co-workers she was SO COMPLETELY RUDE! I was pretty much shocked at the way she talked to other workers. Then - a table in the bar turned into a bunch of co-workers eating Subway and other random restaurant food, while complaining about their work environment and their co-workers and how much they hate working here. Stacey behind the bar was VISIBLY upset that a customer wanted her cocktail "blended" and not on the "rocks" which was preciously ordered. So she had to do extra work and was honestly mad about it. The only person who was actually nice to me with being genuine was the manager - but she let the co-workers (that seemed off of the clock and still standing around out in public view) to be eating other companies food and let them talk about other co-workers. Not trying to say that it was a HORRIBLE experience - but it was very unprofessional and tacky. I know it's Applebee's and I shouldn't be expecting decent quality like other places - however ---- hearing about other incompetent workers and how much each other didn't like one another - was more than what I wanted for my bar experience.
