I've been here a couple times in my life but never made a review until now. I recently went a couple times this year only because Applebees is honestly one of the cheapest and easiest places to actually have a "catch up" session with some friends. I have not come across a bad server here at this location before and so far they have all been friendly and quick with their service. Food is what you would expect, average but good enough to satisfy your hunger. There are a couple things on the menu I'd recommend and that would definitely their Wonton Tacos. I enjoy how crunchy and tangy it is and it goes awesome with a bottle of Sam Adams. It consists of 3 decent sized tacos and isn't overly messy to eat. So if you're looking for something light, I highly recommend it. Overall, this Applebees has decent food, the environment is nice and the servers are friendly. There's nothing to really complain about. I know a lot of Applebees lack in either service or food quality and this particular one has been good on both or at least during the times I've been there. Food isn't dry and cooked well so I haven't had anything bad to say. The only reason for my 1 star deduction is their bathrooms are messy and look like they haven't been maintained throughout the day which is bad for a chain restaurant. Restaurants should check up on their bathrooms every hour just like how most retail stores go and check the bathrooms for full trashcans, toilet paper on the floor and etc. I ultimately feel that the bathrooms in most establishments need to be kept clean since it's a representation of the store itself. So if any managers are reading this review, please keep that in mind. read more

Great lunch at Applebee's today. Went to the locale in May's Landing. Great atmosphere, restaurant. Got a classic rasberry Iced tea. Great flavor! From there I got a house caesar salad. Entree of the day was quasidilla burger and fries. I'm always willing to try something new and it was a more recent popular choice on their menu. I was not disappointed. Great lunch day. read more

Not a lot of choices to eat around town so this is probably the main reason why this place is always busy. We as Americans are loyal to our chains... sad. Sriracha Shrimp looked like something Applebee's came up to try to compete w/ Bonefish Grill's Bang Bang Shrimp. Tried it. Not that good... breading is too thick for the small shrimps and the flavors are not equally distributed in/out of the shrimp. It came with fried bits of noodles which was not a good idea on their part. Chicken dishes are a safe bet here. Pasta dishes are decent. Riblets were actually quite good, very tasty. Choice of 3 sauces too. Hostesses/Hosts are a hit or a miss, usually they open the second door for you when going in/out, but it's not always. Servers usually get their job done but are not really nice... We as customers say "thank you" for this, "please" for that. Servers don't even acknowledge the thanks with a "you're welcome" or "no problem." Didn't even say "thank you for coming" or "good-bye" or "bye." read more

Paid a visit to Applebee's Hamilton ( south Jersey) we started with boneless wings... Delicious. Then for Dinner we had the Steak and shrimp. I have to say for a chain restaurant it was cooked to perfection for me ... the service was great and timely also. Of course the company always makes the Dinner more enjoyable for me! Dirty restaurant inside and out, coming in dirty worn out can only smell cigarettes and have to walk through people smoking. Hostess too busy to care whose coming in too much talking amongst themselves, server was great. Needs to be updated and cleaned better, they should wipe tables with different sanitary rags and not the same dirty rag every table. read more

Went here after seeing the new Star Wars movie, it was good (Both the movie and dinner). Appetizers were delicious. We got spinach and artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks and onion rings. Gone in 10 minutes!!! I ordered the 3 cheese chicken penne. I was a little dissapointed to find it underseasoned. It was in need of garlic. Cool place to go. Alicia was literally the worst bartender I ever had. Working in the industry, I am extremely patient especially if the server/bartender is very busy. She was rude, and not friendly and ignored us. To work in a high volume bar you should be fast and efficient, yet friendly. Seems like she hates her job and couldn't handle the small bar plus service by herself. It's a chain, what else can I say? I ordered simple food it was palatable. It was more expensive than it should have been. I have nothing terribly negative to say about it considering that is a chain. I also have nothing really positive to say about it. I guess I would say it's.... bland. i was at applebee's with my 3 daughters and the table next to us we're being extremely rambunctious and totally inappropriate screaming cuss words in front of my 4 year old and then to make it even worse the waitress was completely RUDE!! but on the bright side she did bring out our chicken fingers and mac and cheese surprisingly quick with that bad attitude of hers. The absolute worst Applebee's I've ever been to, what happened is irrelavent, it was a mistake or miscommunication and it happens. What made it the worst experience ever was the manager on duty, it was a lady with really messed up attitude, after about half a minute of interaction I felt like I was at fault, despite being a customer, and let me tell you, a person like that should never be in charge, let along a leader at a place like this! read more

Place was extremely busy when we went for lunch, but the waitress I forget her name was very friendly and worked hard. As a former waiter myself from back in the day I understand how hard it is when you have a bunch of tables, it's seriously probably one of the hardest jobs ever. Came in on Tuesday ask for a table for five.. I was told there would be a wait which is never a problem and understandable.. after 5 mins I ask how long do u think the wait would be.. the hostess said half an hour.. when I looked at possible tables.. there where two tables that where available but no one was willing to clear it up and we where force to walk away. I go to happy hour at Applebees at least 2-3 times a week to enjoy the half price apps (not worth full price). ONLY at the Mays Landing, NJ location will they tell you that you HAVE to buy drinks in order to get the half price apps - NOT TRUE! All of the other locations I've been to have never told me that I have to buy a drink. The servers are rude here, looking to get extra money out of you. Went in for lunch today and had the worst service and isn't the first time. Our server was more worried about taking care of her regulars that she forget about the other 3 tables she had. Sat before her regulars but they got there apps and entrees even before we got a app of ours. Forget one Pepsi and never even bought one to the table. Never checked on us to see how our food was. Dad soup had to be re-heated cause it was cold. My brother ask for loaded mash and didn't come loaded had to send them back. Was over all a disappointment. read more

So I normally don't have problems with Applebees but I have never seen so many waiter's server's and hostesses standing around and bullshiting more at this location than any other restaurant in my life. There were seven alone in a group just talking then the same group would sit at the bar and talk for twenty minutes and not even bother to check on any of the tables. I could get a refill or get a different drink for my wife. The appetizer was over cooked and food wasn't that great compared to other locations.
