Service was incredible! I wish I remembered my server but she was a middle aged lady who was adorable and deserves best customer service. All the stars for her This is the classic ihop that reminds you of your childhood and gives you a quality breakfast. I'm sad to say that the potatoes aren't the same since ihop used to put onions, green peppers and seasoning in them. The Dulce de leche pancakes were nice fluffy and soft. They were delicious and not too sweet. The chocolate pancakes were a little disappointing. Wow. 3pm on a Sunday. The entire place at maybe 25% occupancy. They were about to seat us and then decided to tell us to sit while they cleaned a table. There were 50 clear tables. Sheesh As we waited, we realized we were really cold. We were sitting by the door. A quick look around at the people that were there revealed most were eating with their coats on! As a kid, I loved IHOP. Everything tasted fresh and the best pancakes. Welp, decades later this IHOP isn't very good. The French Toast tasted as if it were cooked hours before my order. The eggs were perfect and delicious. The sausage links were dried out poo logs. Coffee lacked that diner coffee taste. Service was great and very pleasant. But, if the main menu items is so dry and tasteless, I can not say I'll be back. Because I won't. It's been years since we ate here and much to my surprise, we enjoyed a very good fresh breakfast. The host whore a black sequin jacket, was beautiful and welcoming! She looked as if she should have been in a fine dining very restaurant. Our waitress was full of energy & personality! I wish I remember her name! She was excellent! She told us of a few specials featuring specialty french toast, which I did enjoy! And my boiled eggs request was quick and fulfilled with no problem. Usually my request catches the restaurants by surprise and comes off as challenge. Why, I don't know but not here! At $8.99, it was a true value. Hubby enjoyed his combo breakfast as well! Was ordering for mobile pick up and was told for email confirmation when I could just say the name. Not sure if it was the manager but he was unhelpful. Another server got my food after saying the name of the order. They also need to check the orders before handing it over because I had to go back and get one missing order. What happened to Ihop. It used to be my favorite place for pancakes. Now everything is ala carte, crispy potatoes are clearly left over and refried. The reason they are currently understaffed I assume is because the staff and management are rude and aggressive. Back story I took my elderly client to eat her today and as the food came out there was a dish that didn't come out as advertised and we told the waiter he returned to the table the the rest of the meals constituents. By that point we had eaten most of the meal and the entree remained fully uneaten and the waiter was nowhere to be found. The check came and I asked for the item to be removed since it sat untouched. I was berated by the manager that "I should have known it wasn't what she wanted" then the waiter came and began to yell and argue with me. Yelling I came to the table 5 times I said you've been way too busy to come here 5times , mind you there are 2 waiter and maybe 6 tables ? After a 5min explanation tell them the service was fine but I wasn't paying for a meal that wasn't eaten. We went to the register under the agreement 25% would be take off the one item. We get to the register and the waiter slide the card reader to me with the original price pending! This actually made me come out of character because it was sneaky and underhanded. The manager, Christopher Flores Artis was horrible on today. He let people come in in front of other people that were waiting. He claimed he texted us when it was our turn to get a table but I didn't have a text message and neither did the couple ahead of us and neither did the couple ahead of them. The app still showed us a number two on the waiting list. Then he said to me, don't hate the player hate the game. I told him that was not something you say to customers. So we sat down and the manager was a prick and was mad because we were sitting there and there was only 5 of us even tho they sat us there. The restaurant is very well taken care of. From the cleanliness of the dining room, to the training of its staff. My waitress, Gianna, continually goes above and beyond her level of basic training, and employs every tool necessary to, not only satisfy, but welcome her guests to a pleasurable dining experience. I'm here regularly almost biweekly as I take class up the road. The value for the T-bone steak and eggs is incredible. And every time I get the steak it's cooked perfectly! Now let's be real, if you go to a value restaurant and expect a steakhouse level steak and sides for something like 17, you're at the wrong place! But this place makes it worth the visit.
