Food I ordered the rack of ribs and they said it was a side of coleslaw, which was the smallest side of coleslaw I've ever seen the rack of ribs fell off the bone because they were so dry. They had nothing to hold onto you had a dose in barbecue sauce just to make them edible and french fries which I think I had 10 of them maybe. Note to self don't order this again Service he stopped and asked me when I was just about done how it was and then I said I need some barbecue sauce to do in ambience. There's a couple at the end of the bar that talks so loud, I heard every little thing that they said, and then he turned his head And belched with a pig I won't be back

I can vividly remember one of my first visits to an Applebee's way back in the 1980s in Northern Virginia's town of Falls Church! At the time, there were not a lot of really, really good big box or conglomerate restaurants packing the eating industry - yet Applebee's was and to some extent in such a competitive world is holding its own today... I'm glad to say, especially for nostalgic purposes. It was one of the first to actually create a neighborhood pub feel to it. I've been somewhat fond of this American-style, casual dining establishment over the years. With its overall consistency, reliability and dependability, despite the various iterations corporate has demanded of them! This outfit has gone through the gamut of offerings throughout the years, and their recent meal renderings are not much different in their marketing for one's attraction. But down deep, people keep Applebee's alive, because we are content with its overall expectations. We know what we want, and we can pretty much expect what we want when visiting. They are no Ruth Christ's or Flemming's, but then again, we don't expect them to be. Applebee's your comfort food with a twist. This is one of the few conglomerates operating restaurants that can actually provide 1) amazing service: 4.0 , 2) excellent attention to detail especially in hospitality: 3.5 , 3) cleanliness, hygiene and comfort in their décor, amenities and lavatories: 3.5 , 4) an abundant and/or varied food and/or product menu: 4.0 , 5) consistently appetizing offerings: 3.5 , 6) a sincere customer service: 3.5 , 7) unique, innovative or specialized menus: 4.0 , 8) value and price of meals: 3.5 , and most of all, 9) the inert desire of one wanting to return, again and again for the experience gained: 4.0 . These are some if not most of what my basic requirements are when visiting one of these establishments each time. My wife and I, although not professional reviewers, are connoisseurs of excellent foods whether a fine upscale cuisine, middle of the road common eats, or a low-end fast-food joint. In this way, I have developed a to-the-point method for determining the personal worthiness of each establishment visited as noted in my opening. Simplified, each requisite noted for the establishment visited best scored by my highest score offered. Applebee's scores a 3.72 of a potential 5.0 - well above average. The meals overall whether getting Ultimate Trio, a Choose 3 appetizers, a 2 for $25 or their skillets, chicken, pasta, seafood, sandwiches, burgers, salads, sides, desserts and/or drinks - there's something for everyone.

Two questions- 1) why isn't this Applebee's on Yelp yet and 2) why isn't there an Applebee's in every neighborhood? This was the best Applebee's I've ever eaten at! Justin took great care of us and all of the happy tables around us. Just as we were arriving he was making a little boys night by bringing him a surprise ice cream Sunday. You can't beat the 2 for $35 deal- an app and 2 entrees (prices slightly vary depending on what you get). I had the bourbon chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes- probably could have licked the plate. Large, delicious portions. This location was clean and every single employee was friendly and helpful, I wish this location was in my own neighborhood!

I went with the Caesar salad topped with Cajun chicken, and it was absolutely terrific--fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying. I'd never had a bad meal prior to this, but food quality has TANKED... this evening our food took FOREVER, and when I finally came, mine was cold and the chicken was super dry, and my Wife's was super hot, and obviously just prepared. The staff and bartenders are always on point, but it's becoming more and more evident at the lack of competent management, and any minuscule form of quality control. It's been consistently getting bad...but tonight was hands down the worst restaurant experience we've had in over a decade. Please fire them all and start over. Competent Management and quality control are non-existent. It's a shame. We used to love this place. (Your staff is the only reason this is worded so nicely)

From the moment we sat down, the vibe was right, relaxed ambience, comfortable setting, and the kind of place where you can actually unwind and enjoy your meal without being rushed. The environment just feels good. Our waitress was awesome, attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing without hovering. That kind of service makes all the difference and she nailed it. Now the food. Let me start with the real star of the show, the Cheesy Mashed Potato Balls. Golden, perfectly crispy panko crust on the outside, and when you bite in? Creamy mashed potato loaded with gooey melted cheese that literally stretches. Paired with that smooth cheese dipping sauce, these are dangerously addictive. I'd order a double next time without hesitation. The wings were incredible, and yes, I taste tested both the Garlic Parmesan AND the BBQ. The Garlic Parm had that rich, savory coating with a beautiful caramelized char. The BBQ brought a sweet, smoky glaze that had me licking my fingers. Both were meaty, juicy, and fall-off-the-bone tender. Honestly couldn't pick a favorite, you need both. I also grabbed a burger on a pretzel bun with bacon and sweet potato fries, stacked high, messy in the best way, and the pretzel bun held up like a champ. The Hub has that classic neighborhood grill vibe with quality that punches above its weight. Delicious food, generous portions, great service, and a relaxing spot to kick back. Will absolutely be back. Pro tip: Don't sleep on those mashed potato balls. Order them first. And get both wing flavors, thank me later.

The interior could use a refresh (think dark wood, old booths, and sports memorabilia that's seen better days), but if you like a lively, unpretentious bar atmosphere, it delivers. We went for dinner on a weeknight. I ordered the fish & chips. It arrived looking sad: two small, thin pieces of cod that were overcooked to the point of dryness, perched on a modest pile of fries. The breading was decent, tartar sauce fine, but the fish itself was underwhelming and skimpy for the price. Highlight of my plate was actually the side of onion rings--thick-cut, crispy, well-seasoned, and legitimately tasty. My wife's fried chicken sandwich, though, was a winner. Huge, juicy breast with a crunchy coating, fresh toppings, and a buttery brioche bun that held up perfectly. The fries alongside were hot and crisp. She demolished it and declared it one of the better chicken sandwiches she's had lately. Service was friendly but slow. Prices are typical for a golf course spot--maybe $2-3 higher than you'd hope. Verdict: Dinner was hit-and-miss (great chicken sandwich, forgettable fish & chips). The loud, dated vibe isn't for everyone. I probably wouldn't rush back for dinner, but the breakfast menu has solid reviews, so I'll give that a shot next time I'm in the area. Onion rings alone are worth a side order.

It's located within the Cooley Station shopping center off Recker and Williams Field. There were 6 of us on a Sunday night and we still able to be seated right away as they put two 4-top tables together (due to mobility issues for some party members we couldn't use the high-top tables). The restaurant is smaller inside than expected...they have a long bar with an estimated 12-16 seats and then mostly 6-person tables filling the rest of the floor. Even with the tighter seating quarters, the noise level was fine as we were easily able to hear each other talk. Their food menu has the staples you'd expect from a pub- wings, salads, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and a few other entrees. We all ordered different items and most everyone enjoyed their meal. My youngest got the Asian BBQ chicken sandwich and it was so wet he struggled to eat it. My Caeser salad was average...could have used more parmesan and had black pepper available. They have a large beer selection with at least 60 beers on tap, and many more beers available in bottles. I tried a local hefeweizen from the tap and it hit the spot. They have plenty of TVs for watching sports...the NCAA games were on and it was enjoyable watching the actions while dining. Their prices were equitable to other similar establishments and we liked the location as it's pretty low-key. Overall, this is a good place for food, drinks and fun.
