Very good food, enjoyed the fajitas. My kids enjoy going there very much. They liked the large children's menu. Service was great too.

Watching the hostesses struggle seating a party of 7, 8, and 17. Where is the manager in all this? Overhearing the hostesses bicker to each other and some issue with not enough servers on the floor is NOT professional. Watched three parties walk out due to this too. Mediocre food (at best) for high prices. Slow service.

We were served food with no silverware. When we asked for silverware the waitress said they were out. A resteraunt OUT OF SILVERWARE! She seemed very unconcerned and unapologetic about the matter, leading me to believe this must be a common occurrence at this Applebee's. To make matters worse, she never brought any silverware or came back to check if we got any. I was forced to scavage silverware from the bar. read more

I come to the carside to go at least twice a week, sometimes more! Everyone is so kind and sweet and even if I'm super late which I admit I have been a few times they keep my food there warm and ready to go I am so grateful for them! This applebees used to be an amazing place, but in the past couple weeks it has been a downward spiral with no end in sight. The staff seems really confused on what is going where. Not up to usual Applebee's quality. I thought I may have gone on a bad night, so I tried again, and again, and again. No more. They excel in consistency. But that's only a compliment if you don't suck. After several visits of burned, cold, dried out chicken, stale chips and crunchy rice, I won't be going back. Literally been siting here for 30 minutes or so. The bartender is so rude and unfriendly. Not to mention slow. Washes dirty glasses and dishes then grabs your glass for a beer without washing her hands. Maybe to busy pulling her pants up constantly. Im literally afraid to order my take out meal because i know its going to be completely wrong. It's 7:15. I'll see what happens..... well, it is now 7:34 and she has adjusted her pants 2 more times. She clearly has never heard of washing her hands. There is a complete side of a bar with empty drinks. But she has had plenty of time to talk about her life to 1 guy on the other side of the bar. Still getting rude treatment even though i have only asked for 2 drinks and my food. This place sucks. Will never come back and warn everyone i know about it. Yup, order was wrong and the 2 burgers were super cold! How in the world is this place still in business??? This is the 6th time things are bad. I was disappointed with my experience at this location last Sunday around 5 pm. We were seated right away and there was not a crowd. Nice. Still it seemed as if our food took too long. even the appetizer, which was boneless buffalo wings. when they were brought to the table I was asked if we needed anything else. I asked for a glass of water. I didn't get that until halfway thru the entree. Both my son and I were nursing the drinks we ordered when we were seated. The boneless wings were just as fake and had the texture of wings you get from Pizza Hut or Hungry Howie's. One of my old faves that I decided to order was the Chinese Chicken Salad. This was before we had the wings. A few years ago I used to look forward to ordering that at the Canton store. While I always look for romaine in a salad, and can consider that an upgrade, there was almost no cabbage. The dressing didn't stick to anything, It was bland and the chicken which I ordered crispy had to have been a frozen chicken strip. I don't appreciate restaurants that heat up frozen chicken. My son is known to clear a plate and help me finish mine. He had the fish and chips, didn't finish it, and didn't want to take the rest to go. I had so much left on my plate that I felt embarrassed to waste so much and got a to go box, but threw it in the garbage. I'm not going to disparage a store like this and say don't go there. Lots of people go out to eat and don't care much about food quality as long as they don't have to cook and clean up. Looked like a place where it's comfortable to meet with friends and family. They're in the midst of remodeling the physical store itself. I paid with an Applebee's gift card. if it hadn't been a mostly free dinner I would have sent back our meals and went anywhere else. read more

Pretty efficient kitchen, our app delivered promptly, the meals right after the server took the plates used for the app. The food was average overall, but better than most for the price. The two for $25 deal was a good deal. We didn't want to sit, and was out under an hour. read more

I have to say, the American Standard has to be the best burger I've had, maybe ever! Applebee's "new" burgers are just delicious. Beats anything you can get at In-n-out, Five Guys, or certainly any of the other large chain burger joints. Hand pressed patty, cooked to perfection. Our food arrived in less than 15 minutes. We had just finished our appetizer when our meal arrived, so their timing was perfect. Our waitress was very nice, and she checked on us many times to make sure we had everything we needed. Our food was hot and fresh, and tasted good as far as Applebee's food goes. read more

Have the 2 for $25 special. Appetizer was spinach artichoke dip, one entree was the Bourbon Steak, the other was chicken and shrimp bourbon. Service was excellent the meals delicious and my steak was served as I ordered it - rare. Enjoyable night. read more

This is a follow up review : Today I had a conversation with Kathy Sieradzki , who is the General Manager. We discussed my visit that occurred last Friday night. The service I received was horrible, and was very underwhelming. Kathy Sieradzki told me that my server, Nichole was having a bad shift . Kathy also apologized for the bad experience I had, she also promised to e mail a gift card to me, which she did. I am looking forward to having a better experience next time. read more

My wife and I came here for a Sunday afternoon dinner and I pretty sure our waitress forgot about our meal since it was warm instead of hot. The food was good but the waitress was very rude. Her name was Nicole O. She even charged my credit card instead of using the gift card! Went to pick up a carryout which was supposed to be ready at a certain time and ended up waiting an extra fifteen minutes. It took approximately five minutes just to be greeted at the bar to let them know I was there for a pick up. The girls at the door were nice however I work as a server so I could understand my order not being ready if they were busy however it was not busy enough that there should be a delay in my food. I have yet to get a great meal here hopefully when I get home to get it this time it will have been worth the wait. read more

We went here multiple times as wife likes applebee's I general. The 2 for 20 package is really what we generally order. The price may have increased little more recently. Although the food seems tasty to me they put cook with too much oil, perhaps to expedite the cooking. Ambience is good. read more

Love this Applebee's. The servers are full of smiles and seem to actually enjoy their job, which seems to be a rarity these days. They are always on top of everything we need. Nicole took care of us the last time we were in and she was amazing. The managers are great too, they always check in with us to make sure we are having a good time. As far as the food goes.....no complaints here, ever. No matter how busy it is, It's always made how we ask for it. We will continue to frequent this Applebee's as others in the area just don't seem to be as fun and on top it like everyone is here. read more

Not happy.... Went with two younger kids and the service was extremely slow. Waite almost 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. By that time we knew what a wanted to order, we ordered and it took over at least 40 minutes to get our food!! Crazy! And worse yet, when we asked our server about it, we heard her tell one of the managers and he only said something like there are tables ahead if us and we'll have to wait. Wow. My wife and I came to the Applebees on Haggerty in Commerce to have dinner. We liked this restaurant and have been there many times. This was the worst visit. We ordered two soups. My cup was full but my wife's was only half full. We have never seen half cup when you order a cup of soup. My main course was suppose to come with cole slow. The waiter did not bring it. We asked for a couple of bread sticks. He said it will be just a minute. How long does it take to warm up bread sticks in microwaive? It took forever to get them. The service overall was very slow. We spent way more time in the restaurant than we expected. On the tables there is a sign that you get $5 certificate if a manager fails to stop at your table. Of course we did not see a manager during our dinner. We asked for $5 certificate and got it. What is this certificate means? My understanding is that they want to say "sorry for not being able to deliver what we promised", but on the certificate it has limitations that it cannot be used with other offers and also cannot be used with 2 for $20 or 2 for $25 deals. It's kind of half sorry with some conditions which doesn't feel right. On the way out I wanted to talk to a manager about our unplesant experience. One of the waiters ran to the back to bring out a manager, but he came back with no manager. Hostess lady also went to get a manager, but she returned saying that the manager is busy in the kitchen. It looks like this restaurant is going downhill and their management doesn't even care to hear what customers want to tell them. I guess we will avoid this restaurant in the future. read more

My wife and I went to dinner at Applebee's last night. We had not been here in a long time but are glad that we went. Our server was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable about menu and drink choices. We had hamburgers with sweet potato fries and both were excellent. We will be returning soon. read more

This Applebee's wait staff are too busy on their cell phones to take care of customers. We were there on 10-06-16 approximately at 4 pm. On the way in an older gentleman told us not to bother to go in because they were waiting on anyone. He proceeded to go in and ask for a manager. We figured since there was a problem with him our service would be fast. Not the case we sat for approximately 20 minutes and no one came to our table. We were not even given water!! The wait staff were on their cell phones in the back during our whole visit. I normally like Applebee's, but will never go back to this one!!! read more

Friendly service, open tables & really has a good menu. Portions are not the best, but they are enough. Salads are fantastic. Good atmosphere. Pricing was modest. Love how they take care of veterans and military. Great to watch your game. Wish they had more coupons, but just a nice place overall. read more

Was going there specifically because they were supporting a charity-10% of bill--so they are good people-- We were all hungry-just came back from son's double header baseball game- it was sorta late for dinner (7:40pm) and a school night for the kids. My family (4) were greeted at the door and lead to a table near the TV so we could watch the Tiger game. We sat there without any contact from staff for 7/8 minutes--and it wasn't that busy. My wife ordered salad and I had the chicken tortilla soup. She said the salad was good but my soup was HORRIBLE. Very spicy without any favor. Just a lot of spices dumped into a pot and called soup. I didn't taste or see any chicken--just lots of peppers. Both my son and I ordered a sirloin. My daughter had the ribs. She said it was OK, but my son and I had terrible steaks. Rubbery, bouncy, chewy. GROSS. Mashed potatoes were OK, but cold. Steaks were cooked properly--I had Med Rare and he ordered Med.. but just lousy. No favor, nasty. When the server came back (after about 10 min after he delivered the meals) I told him about our steaks, and he offered to bring something else, but we were both hungry and had eaten half of our meal, and we just wanted to leave. 15 minutes after serving the meal, another server came over with a side of ranch dressing my son had ordered - My daughter saw our waiter tell a guy who looked like a "supervisor/manager", but he never came over to the table or said anything to me. Normally I am a 20% of the total bill for tip....regardless of the food situation--as it isn't the server's fault...but tonight I went 11%--because the entire thing was that bad--and I was being generous with that tip! If I could do it over, I would have just sent it back and cut my losses for the evening. 30 minutes after got home , I had "stomach flu issue" (diarrhea) My experience/opinion-- This restaurant is run by a poor/weak manager, absentee owner, or both. Poorly trained wait staff, weak management. Strongly suggest eating some where else--as you will not be happy with this establishment for a meal. I will never go back, even for charity. read more

Food is good, service for Saturday was good, wait on food was slow. I have been to other Apple Bees, and everything stunk. One thing I do not like about any place is you will walk pass ten empty tables before you are sat. I am handy cap, too look at me you would not know it.
