We had dinner at Applebee's on Friday, 4/18/25 prior to attending the Santana concert at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheater. We had a terrific dinner (Fish & Chips, Appetizer, drinks & dessert). The food was fresh & tasty. The service was even better. Our Server, "Felix", was amazing - very personable, efficient & helpful. When asked a question about the food prior to ordering, if he wasn't sure of the answer he would check with someone rather than just give a generic answer. Felix checked throughout the meal to be sure that we were satisfied with everything. Most importantly, Felix obviously enjoyed his work (we noticed that he gave the same personal attention to all of his tables which was most impressive). I went inside to talk to someone and they said my order hadn't been started. I let the girl know if my order hadn't been started they could go ahead and cancel it. ALL YOU CAN EAT - Saw the all you can eat ribs, chicken and shrimp deal on a commercial for $12.99 and automatically I had a craving I had to relinquish. Proves I am a sucker for marketing. Or I must have been hungry when I saw it. Nevertheless, ended up there on this day for lunch. I asked for the Texas BBQ flavor ribs, with no explanation of how this all you can eat deal works or what flavor options available, my waitress told me that I could ask each time I order. Well soon after, out came a plate of meat, with fries and side of coleslaw. The ribs were pork ribs, but were NOT the ribs I had in mind. They were not baby back ribs or even spare ribs, they were pork button bones. What are PORK BUTTON BONES? When the spare rib is trimmed the small feather like bones on the bottom portion referred to as "button bones". It was tender and soft but I reminded me of the McRib. The ribs were soaked in a generic tasting BBQ sauce that had a little peppery bite of spiciness. The fries were kind of tough and didn't taste fresh. They did not have a crispness like they were out from the fryer but dried and tough like they were sitting under a heat lamp. Slaw was not actually that bad. It was not drowned in slaw juice. lol. It tasted more salady. At least it added a little crunch of freshness. Ordered another round and got boneless wings (another marketing scheme to make chicken nuggets sound fancy) Out came another plate full with fries and coleslaw and the meat. Great, just what I needed, more cardboard sticks. Didn't know till after that the meat portion could be ordered alone, fries and slaw did not have to accompany the protein every time. Boneless wings were just heated up balls of pre-frozen breaded meat. Pretty basic. Next ordered shrimp and Zesty Asian ribs.The shrimp was ok. I think these were the only things that were cooked fresh because they were still hot when we ate them. Asian ribs had a generic sweet chili sauce on it but a little sweet to be slathered on ribs. I think the shrimp might have been good with a side of the Asian sauce used for the ribs. On a sidenote: I found it weird that they served MOIST TOWELETTES on the plate with the ribs every time. The towelettes sank into the sauce. Not sure why they could not give them to you on the side or upon request. This is like a plating faux paux right? It was overall MEH. This all you can eat is all I can regret. I think the coleslaw could have competed as the best part of the meal. I might have been expecting too much from Applebee's but all in all, it tasted like cafeteria food. read more

Do notttt come here. We got on the waitlist and everyone was going in before us, an HOUR later.. we had to ask what's going on and why nobody is calling us in. The guy just looked at the list and apparently had us marked off as if they already had called us in. But NO ONE ever called us. They let in everybody in before us even the people who came way after us. If we never came in to ask, we would've waited the whole night and nobody would have called us in. Pathetic service. Closest location to my home, so I gave this place a try on more than one occasion. The first few times, no issues. Tonight, I received my order of a chicken quesadilla without any salsa or sour cream in the bag, so I returned to ask for the condiments that go with the meal. The manager Justin, had someone bring it out to me in the waiting area. I get home with the food, and halfway through eating, I find a plastic wrapper of some sort in the salsa, I'm assuming it's from the bag that their salsa comes in. Definitely could've got lodged in my or my child's throat, and could've turned into a Medical emergency. I hope they discard the salsa for the night for the safety of others since I've called back to let the Manager know what happen. I even offered to bring the food, and salsa back to the store which would be me returning to the store for a 3rd time tonight but the manager said it wasn't necessary and had offered me a refund within a few business days. This review is for the Applebee's at 59th Ave and Peoria in Glendale. I ordered a meal to be delivered. My food was prepared exactly as I had requested. It was very very tasty. I enjoyed it very much. My only complaint was with the driver who didn't follow instructions for delivery and caused my ice cream for my dessert to be melted by the time he finished wandering around and finally found me. I popped the ice cream in the freezer and by the time I was ready for it, it was frozen again. This Applebee's also has wonderful dine-in service as well. A great spot to get your food! read more

First plate the sit in front of me is chicken smothered in shrimp with the onions & shrooms on the side. Next dish they bring is a plain unseasoned chicken breast with shrimp, onions & shrooms off to the side. Not the bourbon chicken I ordered. I asked if there was any sauce, bourbon sauce, sweet Thai chili sauce that we just had boneless wings rolled in for an appetizer. He says well we have Heinz 57. I said um no I want some sweet Thai chili sauce you just rolled the wings in. He brought me a butter sauce. What the actual heck? He says this is the sauce we have for chicken. Since my first review of this location this place has gone DOWNHILL by a lot! They need new management here, it seems that they don't know how to run this restaurant. There is always CRAZY wait times when there is tons of empty tables. The excuses are "servers are doing something else" or "we are short staffed." It's always the same excuses. Why do we still come to this location? Because after a few months we forget why we hate coming to this location until we arrive and see empty tables and still wait 30 minutes for a table for 2 even after we see group after group leaving and no one being seated. Manager is never to be seen. I always appreciate the other Applebee's locations because there's always a manager checking on their guests. Okay, let me start with I was ready to give this Applebee's -5 stars!!!! Here's why.... so my friend and I walked in and decided that we'd like to sit at the bar! So to the bar we went, there was a server there however she (didn't ask her name wish I would have now but she sucked anyway) didn't speak, she was doing what I'd like to call busy work...wiping down stuff that already looked clean. The vibe to me was she just didn't want to be bothered. So maybe 5 mins later I heard Her co-worker Ariel (loved him) say "do you wanna grab them or do you want me to get them started???" she was like "you get them" with out even looking up!!!! Ariel came over and was like "hey, I'm just helping her out..." I cut him off and was like "ummm she was rude I don't want her" (if you have meet me you know I'm not with the Sh#$) So he was like well this isn't my section and I asked where his section was and we promptly moved one table back so we could be treated like the paying and tipping customers we are!!! Trifling, the bathroom looks as though it hasn't been cleaned in days! On the way to the bathroom there is a group of flies and gnats flying in a circle as you walk through to get to the bathroom. The waitresses literally stand at the front and gossip. Instead of keeping a clean establishment. I and my fiancé order the 8oz steak the sides was okay. They didn't sear, our steaks and the broccoli was dry. In certain sections it smell like spilled alcohol. The floors at certain tables have spills on the floors. That seem to have dried up, and just been sitting there. I wish I had taken pictures because this is legit. Will never go here again. Oh and btw they were short staffed as hell!! read more

I mean there are too many choices just up and down 75th ave. Could have went to Texas Road house which is always a home run. Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn steakhouse, Chili's, Hooters, even Whataburger. All of those places to eat are way above the quality of food you are going to get at Applebees. Besides there being a bug in my food we had a server who was terrible at listening to what we were asking for. I had to ask for water 3 different times. My dad ordered steak and was served without a knife and steak sauce. We had to ask a busser to grab our server for us because he does not check in on us. A smaller footprint than other Applebee's we have visited. Kathy was our server and very attentive. She suggested soda refills and brought them quickly. Very friendly. We were there with our 3 teenage grandchildren. One had the quesadillas, another and my wife had the chicken Alfredo, the other had the chicken tenders. I had the 6oz sirloin steak with cole slaw and fries. Everyone loved their meal. Must be a Spanish area as lots of Mexican music is played. The only regret was few customer left their seats to exit wearing their masks. I would still recommend this Applebee's. read more
