Overall my experience here was decent, however, one thing that stood out was the less than attentive servers who seem to want to be anywhere other than at work. The manager, along with every server & hostess, were often seen sitting around at empty tables watching the tvs. We also had to flag down our waiter to ask for water every so often since he never came around. The yelp reviews made me nervous, but my husband had liked the place previously, so we went. The espresso martini was really good, lemon drop was also really good. We got the chorizo spinach dip, i got nachos and my husband got the hash Benny. The steak on my nachos were REALLY good, he loved the hash Benny, and these dip was a little greasy but REALLY good too. No issues with service, our server was prompt and checked in, when i walked in i didn't feel like it would be as good as it was. I've been wanting to check out Flanker for quite a while, but I haven't seemed to been in the area very much h these days. This week we decided to stop in and it was DEAD. This is definitely a spot more busy during football with tailgating etc since it's right across from Cardinals Stadium. There is a betting area inside and there were about if five security guards standing around with nothing to do. Besides us there was only one other couple inside. We opted for the bar. They have a good food menu, but we'd already eating so I can't speak much on that, but everything I've seen looks delicious. I had a local cider since they don't carry sour beer and I wasn't feeling cocktails. There are some beers on tap of course. It was pricy compared to so many other bars around. We both had one and left. Service was great and bartender friendly. Maybe we'll come back when there a game and get some food. read more

Great spot to watch sports. You can bet on games at the MGM counter where you enter. Flankers is a pretty good-sized restaurant/ bar with lots of TVs facing the bar. There are large windows that overlook nice green grass. Our server was nice and checked up on us often. Food: Carne Asada Fries Ceaser Salad The salad was good and refreshing. The Carne Asada fries were amazing. Living in San Diego, you think they would have the best, but Flankers is by far the best to me as far as the meat. It was seasoned so well and tender. Usually, the meat at other restaurants I've eaten at is harder in texture. When I'm in Phoenix again and want Carne Asada, I'd return. read more

Not sure about coming back on game day. We expected it to be packed and obviously a little slower than normal service, but what we experienced is just insane. We found a table upstairs on the patio. To start with the good, the food was good and waitress was nice. But service was just really really slow. Like 45 min just to get our drinks and most were in cans or bottles. It took just as long to get water. It looked like our waitress had half the upstairs tables which kept her busy and not being able to keep up. She kept saying bar was backed up as well. Manager needs to make sure they are properly staffed for game days. Not a great experience at all. read more

We went here b/c the reviews were great and it was close to our hotel and the event we were attending. We weren't expecting it to be a sports bar that you can place bets on any game/event. We were not disappointed. The menu had a great selection of appetizers, salads and entrees...the selection of sides is limited though. The chips were made fresh, salsa wasn't hot but had a great flavor. The drink was delicious...not too sweet or strong (it went down smooth). The steak was tender and the chimichurri sauce was very flavorful. The burger was cooked perfectly (just as I ordered it) and was probably one of the best burgers I have ever had! I ordered a salad with my burger, but u can choose chips, fries or broccolini. I highly recommend trying this place if you're in the Glendale area. read more

We stopped in here before the ravens game to get a bite to eat. We both got cheeseburgers and I have to say, it was delicious! So juicy and flavorful. The place was super busy so we didn't see much of our waitress. I did want to order a drink and want interested in any of the few that were on the menu, so I asked the waitress what they had that was foru that she recommends.... she said she'd be right back and she returned 15 minutes later with the same menu I'd already looked at. Place was super expensive. Went there with some friends and had a few drinks and nachos, paid over 75$ just for myself. My friend paid 120$ on her tab and she literally had like 4 drinks and the most mid burger. Place is nice looking but overpriced. read more

We came here on a Sunday afternoon around 2 pm. At this time they still have the Brunch menu available. The lunch/dinner menu isn't available until after 3pm. The fried macaroni and cheese was pretty good. It wasn't something worth ordering again in my opinion but the Mac n cheese inside was pretty tasty. The trio fries were actually really good! The Buffalo and bbq sauce that you're able to dip your fries in is a great combination. The large screens to watch the game on is great and the sound quality throughout is pretty good as well. It's not too loud in here so you're still able to hear each other as you're speaking, which is nice. Our server was Cailyn and she was nice and a pleasure to speak with but her boss had to come and find her in order for us to get served. We were seated for about 10 minutes before she appeared. Super Bowl is around the corner and the servers should be top tier at that point. Hopefully the service during the Super Bowl exceeds todays experience for myself. read more

They had like 20 reservations (us included) standing there FOREVER and would not seat anyone! 3pm reservations had still not been sat and it was 4pm! Those of us w 4pm reservations were pretty much being told, "no one is leaving, sorry we can't seat any of you" well no Duh!!!!!! These people got here when it opened and aren't moving. Their watching the horses and sports in the AC before a major country concert! Why would they move! You should have had a time limit on everyone so you could turn the tables over! What's the point of taking reservations if you weren't going to honor them!!!! We were also being told there was only 2 servers on staff! I did not realize that this was a place to bet on games. The quiet in the place was almost ominous. The security guard had to find someone to greet me and once we got our server he was nice with good bedside manners. He was not the greatest at attending to our table and checking in however when he did come he was very nice and respectful. The food was superb. I was not sure about what I would get with it being practically empty so the surprise was a pleasant one. The ambiance was sober which was not good or bad. I would return for that food. read more

Avoid if it's an event day or you are relying on reservations. I made a reservation for my husband and I 6 weeks ago so we could eat before heading to the stadium for a concert. Week of the event, we got a "please confirm your reservation" email. I confirmed, they replied great, see you then. Day of our reservation we showed up 5 minutes early and we're told they overbooked all reservations and we would have to wait 2 hours for our reserved seat! I totally understand that they were slammed, but why offer reservation if you can't accommodate them? Also, day of event they never called or notified us ahead of time about was happening, you had to wait to show up and find out. Extremely disappointed! read more
