And this most recent visit, I asked for 2 beef patties! It may very well be my favorite burger (at least outside of Shake Shack). Party of 2 went on a Saturday night. We were seated right away and our orders were taken promptly. The appetizer came within a reasonable time but our entrees took forever. I wasn't happy with my O-M cheeseburger because they were stingy on the cheese...nowhere like the ad I saw! If I could give them half a star I would. Tonight's service was the absolute worst. Service was the slowest I have seen in the last two months. You know if you sit at the bar you will get the quickest service because the beverage is right there. Our server actually forgot to enter an order that our friends gave her. I knew something was going to happen when she didn't write it down. Then... Their system for paying wasn't available for anyone in the place. Everyone was talking amongst each other talking about how long they were waiting for the check to pay. It took us about 45 minutes to an hour. When the server finally did come, I joked and said well I suppose our meal and drinks are free..it was an absolute horrible night..I think we have gone through these nights too many times. This visit was very miss and little hit. I guess Applebee's is just popular now. There seems to be a wait lately. I guess I need to get over that. The services was slow. And I ordered the golden goose drink since the vodka was grey goose and regretted it. There was no balance....so much mango puree...yuk. I literaadded my ice water to the shaker and just sipped it...and took the rest home. Mango water lol. Everything could improve, in answer to the above question. My last three visits here have been an absolute letdown. We have given them their last try. I don't know if it is just this location, but everything about this place majorly sucks. I was inspired to write this review because as I watch Survivor 50, I wonder if I have to travel to Fiji to get food from this restaurant that actually looks appetizing. Our last visit, this past Saturday after throwing our kids a Super Mario Galaxy Movie premier party, we were greeted with rude hostesses, sat across from open booths at a table with uncomfortable chairs, and received nasty looking food that I literally questioned with the waiter when it was brought to our table. My 8 year old was just hungry after a long party so he went for it. My husband and I decided to just get a beer and a shot; even those were bad. How in the world do they make bottled Corona taste differently from all other Corona I've had in my life? It does come to the table already open, so maybe they're pouring it out and replacing it with their own Applebees mix like they have for all of their other drinks. The shots, I mean tablespoons, of tequila were possibly their own liquor mix instead of just plain booze, and they were definitely wanting. I guess it makes sense that the food looks better from another country on one of its islands populated for tv; it's too far to get the food in from one of their actual restaurants, so it's actually made fresh and has nothing to do with what the chain itself produces and serves. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff is dishonest and thieves. I placed an online order for Carside to go. When I arrived I called the number to let them know I was there and give the space number for them to deliver my food to me. The phone rang but instead of someone answering I was hung up on. I hesitantly went inside, what's the point of carside if I still have to go "inside." When I arrived the hostess didn't greet me instead she was conversing with her coworker and rummaging through her purse. After waiting a few minutes someone else approached and asked if I had a to go order to which I replied yes. Instead of then asking my name and retrieving my food this person said nothing. I then volunteered my name and she went to the back to tell someone to bring it out. Three people at this point were directly in front of me but none retrieved my to go order. Growing increasingly frustrated I was then approached by a male staff member who delivered my food. I said thank you and left as quickly as possible. I made a right out of the immediate parking lot but was still in the vicinity when my headphones disconnected from my phone which let me know I left my phone. 1-2 mins tops. I was literally on the side of the building, I reversed and drove back into the parking lot. Upon entering the building, the hostess who had been rummaging through her phone was at the carside door entrance. I asked her if I left my phone to which she responded "no." I then questioned the remaining staff who began to accumulate as if it were some spectacle. I noticed the young man who had previously delivered my food standing in the doorway, I asked if he'd noticed my phone to which he said "no." I would like to add, my phone had immediately reconnected to my headphones when I re-entered the building and my friend was STILL on the phone. My friend heard someone say "she left her phone" when it originally disconnected and then overheard me questioning if someone had seen my phone when I returned to the building before the call was disconnected by a staff member. It was only after another employee observed the commotion came over to see what was going on and confirmed that I had in fact left my phone and that the manager should have it. At that point the employee who had originally delivered my to go order to me, who had previously told me "no" my phone wasn't left behind, went to retrieve my phone. After searching my wallet to assure everything was there I noticed they had already rummaged through my belongings. I demanded to have the general managers number to which a woman approached and said she was the general manager, I then demanded her card, as well as the number to corporate. I will absolutely be filing a complaint. Imagine the general manager being in the store and the staff still being lying thieves. I am grateful for the ONE honest employee. read more

This place is terrible. The tables are dirty and food is undercooked. Seems they cant be bothered to clean because the table i was given was dirty so i had to wait for it to be cleaned. Once seated i ordered the bacon cheeseburger. It was cold and completely pink in the middle. Unless you are getting appetizers for happy hour I feel like the outcome of every meal here is that it looked better than it tasted. No shade, just tea. Happy hour and the two-for deals can make for a good place to gather in good company but if there's a wait I can't find the heart to say that the wait is worth it. Also if there's a wait that means that staff will likely be stretched thin and they're much friendlier when it's slow. Went in for happy hour with some coworkers. There was a couple waiting to be seated in front of me when I came in. A couple of employees were standing there and after a couple of minutes sat the couple. I was then finally greeted by the host once they figured out I was not with the couple they just sat. This wasn't my first time at this location. The service and food is always mediocre. I joined our group after a couple of people had already been seated. The server came by the table to drop off one of the drinks that was ordered and told me I had to wait to order my drink instead of asking what I would like. She also ordered the wrong apps for us, and never brought the water that was ordered. Otherwise the service was not as bad as it usually is here. The food is always just ok. My kids and grandkids had to walk out due to terrible customer service. Specifically asked not to be seated in a certain area due to observed attitude and demeanor or a server. I can't even tell you how many years I've loved this Applebees in Pinole! Well that changed yesterday on my Daughters HS graduation. First time back in Years, but we went in with a party of 7 around 1230pm and the service was a struggle! My sister ordered the endless ( ribs shrimp and tenders w fries). She received the entire meal only 3 ribs/fries! We tried to get our waitress attn a few times, good grief it was hard in an almost empty place. She literally was avoiding the table. When we finally did request the "second" plate ( they literally bring you 1 at a time ) it never came. At that point, everyone was pretty much finishing up so she requested the Mgr. which was nice and said she'd put in the order. My sister asked for it to go instead because waiting over 20 min for an endless meal which she didn't even receive a 3rd of it was ridiculous and we already paid on the machine. My ribs were hard with entirely too much bbq sauce, my daughter's fish & chips were soggy (not sure why) and yea we're done here after many years. First of all we had to wait in front no one acknowledged us for 15 to 20 mins. I had to go get someone to sit us. Second once we got there seated took a while to get a waitress. She was nice we got food before we got silverware. So we couldn't eat until the server brought back silverware. It took a while to get food. When the food came food was subpar. I haven't been there in years. Now I came today and seen why it has been a while. I will never come back. I was very dissatisfied. Only person that was helpful and kept checking on us was out waitress Dulce. She was very nice and apologized for what happened. The only good thing about the day. I always liked that it has it own private parking lot so you're not driving around looking for parking when you're hungry :). There's nothing dance about Applebees come as you are, you know casual, comfortable but not in your PJ's haha. They serve the typical pasta, burger, chicken and other grilled items. And of course they have fun drinks and draft beers. The food was ok. We had a party of ten so we ordered a few appetizers. By the time my food came I was sort of full. Food took long and it was serve warm not hot. Ambiance was bleh...it does have a bar vibe like the advertisement but they need some renovation or maybe an upgrade here and there. Went to Applebees with the family and ordered the all you can eat wings. This Applebees has never been associated with quick service. However, this time was just ridiculous. It took what felt like 30 minutes just to get the first order of wings. Once it was out we ordered the second order right away and that was another 30 minutes. The first order of wings were dry as if they had been sitting around under a heat lamp and the sauce dried. The subsequent orders weren't much better. It's not really all you can eat if they take an hour to give you two servings. Will try not to go back. read more

So my sons wanted to come in for the All You Can Eat Boneless Wings, Riblets & Shrimp Served with unlimited fries we get in about 8:30 pm and were seated pretty quickly. My sons and husband ordered the all you can eat. The drinks came out pretty quickly however it took about 45 minutes to get their food. My food came out a little sooner. I noticed the table next to us where some of the people had ordered the all you can eat had extremely slow service as well. The people that ordered other food got theirs sooner. When they asked for the next round of food that took a long time too and came as a smaller portion on a small plate. If you are planning on ordering this plan to be here for a while because they will take their time giving you food probably in hopes you don't eat too much.
