It pains me to give this restaurant one star but it deserves zero after the service we received tonight. We arrived around 7:30. Ordered, everything was great until our drinks sat empty for 20 minutes. Our server never checked on us. A different server refilled our drinks. Now onto the food: Our server walked by and asked how our food was but she never served us any food. 15 minutes later, i received my mozzarella sticks but my boyfriend received his burger about 10 minutes after my food. The mozzarella sticks were mediocre, but the All Day Brunch Burger was delicious. After I took a bite of my mozzarella sticks, they were so greasy that I needed a napkin, but were we're not given silverware or napkins. I, then, located some unused, wrapped up silverware. Overall service: Absolutely terrible. Our server was only present to close our table because that section of the restaurant was closing. The funny thing is, she decided to close our table while we we're waiting on our food. She reached across the table while I was eating my mozzarella sticks. Not exactly okay in my book. We're really not harsh or hard to please but this was unlike any service we've ever received. We will not be returning. UPDATE: My boyfriends burger wasn't cooked all the way through. read more

There are five of us total sitting by the bar. Our actual waitress didn't even take out order, the key manager did. We got out drinks fast but we did not receive our appetizers until 40 minutes later saying that their "computers were down". When she brought out some of the appetizers she forgot what the other one was too. After waiting over an hour we see that everyone else around us has gotten their food before us even though we were sat down before any of them. The service is bad, and when our drinks were low they take forever to come check in on us to get refills. Finally over an hour they gave us our food but messed up on the order of appetizers and actual meal of one of ours. It was an interesting experience. Will not come back to this location. read more

Not sure why we don't come here more often. Although this place is easily visible from the interstate it is on a dead end road through a hotel parking lot. Not a great location. They are consistent, courteous and delicious. We have gone for Vets day food for several years now. They have a special menu for vets. read more

Normally this Applebee's isn't to bad, never great but I'm really disappointed by my steak. It was pure cartilage.

If you go expect to wait forever. That is if they don't loose your order. Even if you only get water you will never get it refilled.

Best place in town to watch an MLB playoff game. Bartenders are sweethearts and the food is not bad.

If you feel like being treated to the worst customer service in the world come to the Pocatello Applebee's. It doesn't matter if you dine in or order to go you can be assured the staff will be rude and the food will be thrown together but you will be charged like you went to a fine dining restaurant. I have seen so many tables get up and leave because they are never acknowledged after seating. We enjoy the Wonton tacos and try to go during happy hour when they are a reasonable price but the waitresses act as if you are an inconvenience and wasting their time. Don't even bother attempting to get drink refills. Just save your money and go anywhere else! read more

Pleasantly surprised! I am not a huge Applebees fan a almost never go in my own town. This restaraunt was walking distance to our hotel. 9:00 on a Friday night and it was packed. We were instantly seated and had prompt service from our waiter. Dinner came fast and hot and really tasted fresh. If you are in town it may just before worth a shot. read more

Walked in a very busy Thursday afternoon and the place was packed, we got sat almost with no wait at all server was great and order came out correct. Food was sub-par though tasted like microwaved dinner. Drinks were great. All in all good place to watch a game and enjoy a drink don't hold your breath for food though. read more

A good place where close to the hotel we live. As I usually visit Applebee's in San Francisco Bay Area, the food is nothing special than other ones. Me and my friend ordered 2 for 25 with rib back and a 9 oz steak. The steak was too salty and my knife was served with nasty. My rib is just alright, therefore, it's just fine. read more

We had a party of 6. Their grill stopped working so we had a bit of a wait to get our food but it was amazing food when we finally got it. I normally Love Applebee's, my family use to go there about once a week after work. After my last experience though they can't plan on me being in for a long time. Me and my sister came in for lunch and after we were seated and given our menus. We then sat for about 10 minutes deciding our food. We then waited 10 more minutes with no waiter, even though numerous times we would see employees pass setting table or taking a hokey to the floor. They even helped every table around us. After about 25 minutes of sitting around we got up and left. No employee even spared us a second glance. Word of advice, if you go to Applebees go at night. Because apparently the daytime service doesn't care. read more

The ONLY reason this review is getting even one star is that the Asst. mgr came to our table twice to apologize and comped our son a dessert. - service was so slow - our server forgot to put in our appetizer order. - our drinks were not refilled - they "forgot" to bring out my sons meal. After I asked that they please take it off the ticket they "remembered it" and brought it out - the side dishes for my kids meal were not right. Walked in thinking it was going to be typical chain food and rushed atmosphere. Being from Boise, that's what I expected. Totally wrong. First impression of the modern revamped bar area is very impressive. Then comes a friendly server named Jamie. She made me feel welcome. Ordered steak and potato and both were perfectly prepared. Patrick the manager is a friendly guy I must say. We talked about his Utah upbringing and how he needs to come visit beautiful Boise. Thumbs up Applebee's. What a pleasant surprise. My goodness, what has applebees come down to. Hubby ordered a steak cooked medium. It came a grey colour and completely raw. I ordered the enchiladas and they were cold in the middle, rice was crispy, sour cream was hot. Found out from the server it was cooked in the morning and reheated under the salamander. Usually I love Applebee's. But Sunday night has the second string chef, too much jalapeno, too much non melted gelatinous cheese! This an unusual thing here. Maybe the jalapeños were just a really good batch this time around. But even though I didn't make a big deal about it, our server noticed the tears and flushed face and took it off our bill anyway! I went to Applebees with some friends a month ago and my card was charged for my food and my friend's food, even though my friend paid in cash. after i discovered this on my bank statement, i called and asked them to put the money back. i did not call just once, nor twice. i called them THREE TIMES. each time, i spoke with a different manager, only one of which was apologetic. but i didn't much care for his apology when i checked by statement a week later and saw that applebees had removed ANOTHER 15 dollars from my account. i'm a college student, and i ended up paying about 55 dollars for my 18 dollar meal. it's been a month and the money has still not been put back in my account. pocatellians, if you get a waitress named Megan C., asked to be seated in a different section - she is apparently a total idiot. read more

After a stressful day at work, I was ready to go sit down, have a relaxing dinner with my daughter. We arrived, and were seated promptly. The waitress took our order, and returned with our drinks. We order 2 appetizers. Only one came out. Thinking the next would arrive shortly, it did not. Another server brought out our meals, and I asked about the other appetizer that we still had not seen. She said she would go check. She never returned. Neither did our waitress. After we were almost done eating I saw her walking by and asked if we could please get a refill on our drinks. She did that and brought out our bill. She said sorry about the other appetizer-I forgot. She then left the bill and walked away. There was no can I get that to go for you? Do you need a to go box? So last night 8/9/16 my order was wrong. So I tell the waitress and she says "ok I'll go tell them." She come back minutes later saying i will get a new burger leaves then come back again and tells me I get a complimentary dessert. So I get the dessert brought out from a different waitress and we had been waiting to pay for the bill because it charged the "complimentary" dessert to the bill. So we tell this other waitress and she had to go get our original waitress. She comes and handles the bill and brings the card back then after that she completely avoids our table... I waited over 30 minutes for my "to go burger" she never checked on us or told us the status of that burger so we freakin left. This was the second time in a row that I have had dinner from this location and the orders were poorly done. The first time they came out with food that was cold. It took forever to get a waiters attention to take care of it and when it came back it was still only luke-warm. Tonight I had a to go order completely messed up. I had two meals and two extra sides. The first meal was missing the side of fries it was supposed to come with, then one of the additional sides (mashed potatoes) came cold and without the extra cheese I paid an additional fee for. One of the two meals was supposed to be a double bacon burger that came with two slices of bacon, (I guess double does only mean two...). I got out to my car to review the order and found things missing and went back into the restaurant to get it fixed. I was asked for my receipt which I left in the car so I ran back out to get it. By the time I got back with the receipt the wait staff was missing and came back a moment later with the missing items. (Why do I need my receipt if you already know things are wrong?) The waitress threw a small cup with a little shredded cheese into the bag along with the missing fries, shoved the bag into my hands, and disappeared before I could say a word. I won't be going back to this location. It is by far worse than any other chain restaurant I have been to in a long time. I don't know why this one is still open with this kind of service being allowed to continue. Wake up corporate get this place in line. read more
