Applebee's is trying to change a lot of things. Their menu features more choices for the budget minded person. They also offer more lower calorie food choices. My daughters were also happy that they revised the kids menu. Both in amount of items and also that there are size options now. I have to stay out by saying I have always loved coming to this Applebee's in Riverdale, UT however after tonight I will never eat here again. And I will be telling everyone I know to do the same. I came for a night out with my family and ordered an oriental 'crispy' chicken salad. Whenever we go to Applebee's, my mom and I always order the ' 'crispy' oriental chicken salad. They brought out our food and handed me a 'grilled' oriental chicken salad. I let them know that I had ordered a crispy chicken salad. Our server, Zoey, said to me that I ordered a grilled chicken salad. I told her again that I had ordered the crispy chicken. She stated, I can bring you a crispy chicken, but you did order the grilled chicken, very rudely. At this point she was arguing with me about what I ordered and trying to point out that I was wrong and she was right. That's when I got really mad and told them to just give me the salad, I wasn't going to argue with her. With no question or further discussion, they put the plate down in front of me and continued on. My family asked me if I wanted to switch it for what I ordered, which they had also heard me order. I told them, "No, I will just write a Yelp review." I said this as Zoey walked by, which made her turn around and ask sweetly, "Are you sure I can't switch your salad for you?" I can't believe that a server would act like this and argue with a customer and then turn around and act that way because I said I'd write a review. My mom was also upset because she felt as though she was rushing us after that. Half of us were still eating and she asked us if we needed any boxes. Then she asked my mom and our friend, "oh, are you girls still picking at that?" Which made them feel like they should have been done and that we should be leaving at that point. I waited 15 minutes with an empty glass before she refilled my drink, even though she filled the rest of the table's drinks. And she didn't ask us if we wanted dessert. She wanted us out of there! THANK YOU, Thank you for finally bringing back good tasting Ranch dressing!! I am not kidding when I say we avoid dining at places that have that crappy store Kraft dressing.. years ago Applebee's had fantastic ranch and blu cheese dressing, and then all of the sudden they turned to the crap tasting store bought out of a bottle ranch and blu cheese, so over the past 12 years or more we haven't gone to Applebee's much. Today we went for lunch and my little boy got wings and ranch, and I could tell by looking at it, it was "Good" dressing! Thank you so much for bringing it back. We will be coming more often now. I've been going to this location for close to 15 years now! I was always a big fan of the sports theme they used to have going for them and once they took away all the fun decorations on the wall we kindof stopped going. The food hasn't changed though, they have some good options for several price options. The games on the table were a good boredom buster while we waited for our food to get to the table, just know that as soon as your money gets taken your access goes away. My wife and I went to the Applebee's in Orem last year and had a terrible experience. We decided to try it here in Ogden thinking it might be better. IT WASNT!! We walk in and the restaurant is pretty busy. There are no places to sit or to stand and wait. We gave the host and our name and he wrote it down. He told us it was about a 15 minute wait. After waiting 25 min we watched them randomly select someone off their handwritten list to be seated. It felt like it was a game of eeny miny moe. The couple that walked in after us was lucky enough to win the game. My wife goes up and asks how much longer and let's them know that we were here before the couple that just got seated. The employee doesn't look at my wife when she's talking to him and the other employee standing by my wife rolls her eyes. They don't have anything together and idk what century we're in but I don't think it's very hard to get a computer to keep track of people who are waiting instead of a handwritten list. Horrible customer service, I went to Applebee's tonight. My husband and I waited for several minutes at the door. Several employees walked by us and not one person greeted us or even acknowledged our presence. Usually employees will at least let u know they'll be with u in a minute, but no one bothered to say a word to us. After a long akward wait we headed down the road to chili's where we were greeted promptly upon entering the restaurant and told they would be getting us a table. Generally a minimum of 1 visit per week ( usually carside ) my previous visit was an extreme disappointment (ordered to go and received unfinished meals ) then a few days later (today) I went in and was there for 53 minutes and I was only able to procure an appetizer a beer and a water .. (In the first 5 minutes) I waited plate and glasses empty.. hoping to order an entree or at least some more water .. But enough was enough and I wanted to leave .. Took 20 minutes to get some one to get the manager .. ( funny enough she was the last one who had spoken to me thirty plus minutes prior) I made her aware of the fact that I received practically no service and that now I had to return to work .. Hungry ... She rang me up handed me the bill said "sorry bout that" No real concern in her voice .. no offer of a discount.. no offer of a coupon ... Just a bland uncaring (sorry bout that) Wich was as empty as my stomach ... 4 to 12 times a month I used to visit this establishment .. Not any more .. Take from this what you will .. I honestly don't understand how someone could rank Applebee's anything above 1 star. Everything they serve tastes like it was just tossed into the microwave for a few minutes. You would definitely be better off heading over to Costco, buying a few frozen entrees, and then taking them home and microwaving it yourself. My mom ordered and did the car side to go. I walked in and there wasn't any signs or anything telling me where to go. I finally asked and they led me halfway up a ramp. Kind of an awkward set up but whatever. They said they had just barely finished everything. Well I get home; a little over 10 minute drive. I got chicken pasta and by the time I got home it was cold. On top of that there was literally no flavor. Not on the chicken or in the sauce. My stepdad's order was wrong; not really worth driving back to fix it though and my brother said the fries were also boring and had no flavor. Service was quick and friendly though. I was there a few weeks ago, and ordered the "Oriental Chicken Salad Wrap" as I was eating there was a blond hair in my food. I decided to forget about it and continue eating, until I got another piece of blond hair. My friend insisted I get a new order, so I did, got some sauce with it, and another black hair right in the sauce! Blah..... I ended up being disgusted. This is by far the worst Applebees I've been to but the busiest. Must be demand here next to the freeway. The service was bad forgot our drink orders. We didn't have silverware when food came. The wings were small with little meat. The bbq ribs a full rack had about as much meet as a half rack at a decent bbq joint. However this was dry and tasteless. The kids shrimp was just plain gross. This review is for our visit a few weeks ago when that storm shut the power off. I had ordered the 2 for $deal for myself so that I can have left overs for lunch tomorrow. My husband ordered 2 apps and a burger with fries. Our apps came out with no utensils. We waited patiently to flag someone down and got our server. Then my food came out. I started to eat it because my husband was still eating his apps. Then the server walked by and said he wondered where my husband's burger was. It should be right out. So as I was about to finish my food. The server walked by and said he forgot to put in his burger. He can have it right out. Then why didn't he just do that and not have us get angry? Just say that it will be out in just a minute because of a kitchen mishap. That's what I would have said as a server. My husband was quite upset because he didn't want me waiting for him to get his burger then eat it as I watched. So he decided not to put that burger order in. The manager asked if everything was ok when she walked by. Then the server walked by and said in a joking way that he forgot to put in my husband's order. Like it wasn't a big deal that my husband was still hungry. The manager apologized and asked if he still wanted the damn burger. He said no. We weren't offered any discount, just a lame apology that didn't feel sincere from both the server and manager. That's the last time we will both be dining at any location. Went in there around 1130 pm looking to spend lots of money and get lots of 1$ Long Island ice teas. I was with a driver who had not been drinking, however I had 1 beers before arriving . The manager took my Driver license (I'm 30) and said we cannot serve you more alcohol : i was kind of shocked because I was not belligerent or acting a fool. However she said because I had one beer prior to you coming to the restaurant I was not allowed to be served any more alcohol. This upset me and my friend and we both got up and left and we did not order any food I will tell my friends about this experience and hopefully none of them go to Applebee's anymore either ,sorry for the horrible service your manager caused and you guys stay up. read more

Tried calling an order in with their curbside pick up and let the phone ring for several minutes until phone finally hung up, approximately 4 minutes and nobody would answer. I tried calling a second time and phone rang for about 5 minutes before it mysteriously hung up again. I've used this service before with no problems. I'd have expected them to at least answer and ask me to hold, but to not answer at all and tried twice with no answering. I live very close to Applebee's and go there a lot. I guess they don't need my business, so maybe I'll try chili's and see if they want my money. I'll have second thoughts about Applebee's in the future.
