In the last 2 years this place has gone down hill but today was the icing on the cake. Service sucked! Not one of the wait staff looked happy or like they wanted to be there. The dish they served the spinach dip in was blazing hot like it just came out of the microwave. When the food finally came out the broccoli and mashed potatoes were still cold. No offer on refills of the drinks at all. This used to be my favorite place to eat but with them taking so many of the items off the menu I liked, the service being crappy, and the food inedible, now I dont recommend it at all and I wont be going back!!! read more

I will never eat here again. The food was awful. First we ordered two French onion soups, came out in 2 different bowls. Not a big deal but one had no soup, just soggy bread and cheese, for real, no soup. The other one was cold. Sent them back and got 2 nice bowls of soup that was quite tasty. Next was the Caprese chicken. Disgusting to say the least. The cheese was melted the tomatoes were cooked, minimal to no basil, the chicken was cold and dry. I asked for more basil and they brought me this nickel size piece of shriveled up brown leaf. I am not exaggerating. I couldn't eat a bite. They were nice enough to take my meal off our ticket. How they could let food like this leave the kitchen is beyond me. I have to say this moves to the top of the list of worst restaurants ever. read more

Hey it's Applebees so they're generally pretty consistent on the food. I had fish and chips which were good. The fries were cold by the time I could eat them and the slaw is the worst. No taste at all. My son got chicken strips and fries. He got to eat them hot lucky kid. Mom got an appetizer platter which she enjoyed. So why wasn't the food hot? Well we were in town for high school hockey and on a tight schedule between games. After waiting 30 minutes for the aforementioned food (too long) we had to request it be ordered to go as we had to get back to the rink. My son ate on the way but we had to wait til later. While a student for Prime myself and some more students decided to go here to have dinner. I got the chicken strips & beef tips special. Food was COLD my strips was fried WAY TO HARD. French Fries was hard & Cold. The side salad was skimpy as looked like it was just throwed on plate with a dab of Caesar dressing. I give this mean a 2 only because it was 13.00! My only complaint about this Applebee's location was that the host refused to sit use at the booth next to where we were actually sat. The booth we got was very dark & we could barely read our menus. He would not sit a the booth next to it(which was next to an open window) because that section was "closed". Then 5 mins later sat a couple at the very table that I asked for. Not cool. I stopped in because culvers closed before I could walk through the doors and I really wanted desert. I ordered the triple chocolate meltdown and was not at all impressed. It was over cooked, or should I say over heated, and had a burnt flavor. I probably would have felt better about it, but the ice cream was not good at all either. At least the milk tasted good and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I've been to applebees before (different locations) and was never impressed with the food. It's as average as a lower scale diner. If you don't know what GOOD food is, you'll probably like their food just fine, but you're not likely to be wowed. Applebee's has a great variety on their menu and I enjoy their 2/$20 or 2/$25 options. However what upsets me about Applebee's is I feel they change the menu too often, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. It's hard to call this place a restaurant. Applebee's is really just a simple bar with food that is designed to be washed down with alcohol. Don't come here if you want a good meal. I had a Bourbon Cajun steak with fries that was bland and forgettable. No hint of Bourbon or any spiciness to it. It did have grill marks on it which I'm sure were burned on beforehand. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if all the food was pre-made, frozen and then heated (not cooked) when ordered. I also had the Malibu margarita and I couldn't taste any alcohol. Probably watered down to save money. Steak, fries & margarita = $22 + tip I was looking over other peoples' food to see how theirs came out. I saw 1 guy who had nachos and all it was was lots of lettuce, tomatoes and tiny little specs of chicken on top of, presumably, cheap GMO chips. I saw another guy who ordered an artichoke dip with chips and it couldn't have tasted any better than it looked. The only reason I came here was because it was the only place that was open and I was hungry. Anything else would have been better. I'm rating 2 stars because the service was good enough and I didn't see anything unsanitary, but I will never waste my time with another Applebee's again. It's just not worth your time or money. Let's start with the good: the server and sweet potato fries were good. And now the bad: I can't seem to learn my lesson on the steak, don't order the steak(future Dan if you are reading this, Don't order the steak, hello McFly!!). My first came out well done, tough, and kind of rubbery. The 2nd came out sort of medium but it still tasted terrible. My daughter had a corn dog and after the food runner dropped the 1st one, the 2nd one came out ice cold! The 3rd came out about 10-15 min later. We try to avoid Applebee's (this one or any other). However, we were given a gift card for Christmas and finally got around to using it, even though we live so close. They did not disappoint in their disappointment. Service was ok minus what I assumed was a very long smoke break in the middle of our meal. The food was bland. The spinach dip was god-awful. For the main courses ketchup and steak sauce on everything seemed to make it all edible. Also the portions were small for the prices. It was only ok because it was mostly a free meal. Broccoli was gross-old and brown. Chicken was burnt on one side, completely black. Oriental chicken salad was good. They ended up taking care of the whole bill because the grilled chicken/broccoli was so bad. This brought them up from 2 stars to 3. Applebee's is always a sentimental favorite of mine. It's where my wife and I had our first date. I love the food, and love the service we always get. The prices are fair, and if you catch the bartender on not such a busy night, you don't get over poured (burned drinks). Love the new trivai game they have on the tables too by the way. read more

We had a great experience here during lunch hour on a Saturday. Our party of 8 was promptly accomadated. The food was hot and fresh and the wait time was very reasonable. Our waiter was very attentive. The cons... you pay just as much for lunch portions on the weekend as you do for dinner portions. The portions are large but I'd rather not have a giant portion for lunch and definitely not pay close to $15 per person for LUNCH. read more

we should have left soon after we arrived. the restaurant was hot and we sweated throughout our entire meal. service was terrible. we were ignored for ten minutes before being asked our drink order and the server acted like she was doing us a favor by taking our order. then we subsequently had to wave her down to get refills as she doted on the table next to us. the salads we ate were plain and bland and when one of us orders a steak salad, we expect there to be more than two thin steak slices on there. read more

We stopped in this Applebee's last night after the Bull Blast so it was about 10:40 and there 7 of us. 1st the hostess tried to put us in a booth. Not to be rude but 2 of the people are pretty large so a booth was out of the question. Then they finally set up a table that was extremely awkward to say the least. From there it just got worse. Our server was really nice and tried to make it not so bad but when you bring drinks to the table with no straws and 2 of them were for children who wanted drink right now, it wasn't good. Then she brings our appetizers with plates ever, so we slid the plates around. The. The food comes and (this was not her fault) it is cold and just nasty. I had the most unflavorful steak, cold mash potatoes and cold broccoli, my husband had chicken parmesan and pasta and couldn't even eat it. The others food was cold and not very impressive at all. My husband and I paid the check and left a healthy tip. You would think for 160.00 we could of had a nice dinner. To make it worse there were probably 7 or more tables that No one had bussed which you had to walk by to get to the restrooms. I would say the need a new front of the house manager or at least one that pays a little more attention. We'll my server was nice and such But my drink wasn't mixed up. The syrup was on bottom and warm. The lemonade was put on top and still had large pieces of ice in it. The appetizer was reheated as it had microwave splatters on the sides of the bowl and part of it was cool. I set up for an email receipt at the table side kiosk. The server returned with a receipt that had a different drink on it. The cost was the same but just seemed disorganized. I had a better experience at the other location in town. read more
