As a 7 year server and restaurant supervisor myself by far the worst experience i have ever had , it takes soo much for me to complain knowing that i do this everyday myself but this whole experience was completely mind blowing . The restaurant had no more than 6tables in it we were sat and waited 10mins before we were even greeted the second she greeted us we knew she was either drunk or had been drinking , she took another 20mins to actually bring our drinks than continued to walk away and walk outside to sit in a car in the parking lot as we watched her. we finally got to put our food in once she came back from outside 25mins later she walked up to the table and asked us what we had gotten because she had never actually put our food in i asked for my bill and proceeded to tell the manager about my experience where she did NOT apologize and pretty much ignored my complain. Terrible service. I paid via my phone and gave an appropriately low tip. The waitress Lina ignored me entirely while she was serving us. Wouldn't even bring me a box for my leftovers. After I paid a man employe came over asking me what my problem was in front of my grandchildren. I asked him what makes you think there is a problem. He said Lina told me you may have a problem because you're completing a customer survey. I felt intimidated. Asked for a carry out box again. He said I will let your waitress know. Over 20 minutes later there was no box and they were both in a corner watching us leave. Food was cold and wasn't tasty. The restaurant Was empty. Chairs were on top of tables at 3 in the afternoon. Hostess sat us right away as we came in the back door because my mom wasn't able to make it all the way to the front door. Hostess was courteous and helpful with this and sat us right away at the nearest table so my mom wouldn't have to walk too far. Although, it took our waitress a while to get to our table I was quite pleased with her demeanor, nice and polite. I asked for her suggestions on food and she was very informative. I asked if I could order the kids food first so it could come out right away. I ordered the green bean crushers and wonton tacos. Both came out piping hot and delicious! 5 stars for this part of our visit. Atmosphere: The music was so loud it was to the point where it was obnoxious and unbearable. I know this is a place to hangout and drink but it was well before 10pm. If it were 10 pm and later I could understand. Our waitress was nice enough to ask for it to be turned down a hair. Which was very nice. Although loud it was bearable. Minus 1 star for this portion of our visit. Entrees: bourbon chicken and shrimp plate, came out hot and was tasty. The chicken was slightly over cooked so it was on the verge of being dry. I was disappointed that I didn't get but 2 mushrooms mostly onions and they weren't sautéed too well. The shrimp was tasty and was not over cooked. The red potatoes were good lacked flavor. Minus 1 star for the lack of flavor for the entrees. Mom ordered the cedar salmon: I tasted everything on her plate to provide this review. Salmon was just a hair over cooked and seriously lacked flavor. The spinach and zucchini that come on the plate were so bland. Spinach was cooked perfectly and the zucchini was soggy. I'm giving it four stars because the hostess and waitress were friendly. I wish I could give it 5 stars buuttt the amount of over cooked food and lack of flavor take away from a 5 star rating. One more thing waitress did not introduce herself, which is sad because I would ask for her again but I don't know who she is. Overall experience was pleasant and I will return. 3 star rating work on flavor and properly introducing yourselves with customers and the ambiance before 10pm so it's not clubish and you have my 5 star rating! read more

I've been coming here for years and lately it's been worse &worse. I was there yesterday & the food was horrible, service wasn't any better. Ordered the chicken fajita roll-up and was so disappointed. Asked for tomato instead of the pico de gallo didn't get it had to ask for it no big deal. The roll up barely had any chicken in it. What I got was literally lettuce & cheese. Usually the manager walks around asking if everything is ok didn't see one the entire visit. The place used to be much better, quality of food & service needs some major improvements. It used to be one of our favorite places to go now not so much anymore. read more

Came here for lunch last week. Excellent, prompt service, and the food was exactly what I expect from an Applebees. Nothing fabulous, but of good quality. This Applebee's runs so much better than most that I have been at. The staff seems friendly and inviting, from the hostess,Sonia, to our waitress, Priscilla, to the manager with long blonde hair whose name I could not remember. Even the lady who was disinfecting the rails and door handles seemed happy to be there. Too many places have employees who just seem to go through the motions or dislike their jobs. Let me just say, it makes a difference. I have three Applebee's that are closer to my home, but I choose this one whenever I can. The only downside is that their cooking staff do not know how to cook a steak properly. To get a little pink, I have to ask for medium rare and even then, it comes out like medium well. I prefer medium. I don't like complaining or sending food back and the flavors were good. The mushrooms tasted very fresh as well. I definitely recommend coming here. read more

Where do I begin. First of all the place was an absolute zoo. Bonkers. So many people here because it was Veterans Day. Thank you to all the veterans. It looks like everyone of you came out today though. Probably because it was so busy many many mistakes were made with our dinner order. The staff was nice enough about things but it started to feel like they were resending us for asking for the correct order or where our drinks were. Ordered carry out To-Go and the young woman who took our order was polite and thorough, our order was correct and finished within 20 minutes as quoted. But all of the food was awful. The pasta was super mushy and only luke warm, even though we only had to take it next door to eat. I would never order carry out from here again. read more

Good waitstaff. Did their best. But I can see where management might want to be more hands-on. Maybe be there. Pay attention to what's going on. Check quality of cleanliness re silverware, wine glasses etc. Husbands food was not good. He couldn't eat it. My salad was drenched in dressing which is fine if I can add more salad to it which is what I did. Took it home and added fresh salad to it. Disappointed because we typically have very good experiences with Applebees so feel badly giving a negative review but maybe management will step up and pay attention. Waitstaff was nice, but I'm sure they would appreciate management stepping up. 3 stars for waitstaff but... hubby says health department could probably shut the place down. I've made the huge mistake of giving them the 3rd times a charm- try. The 1st time, about 2 months ago. Went in with my mom for lunch after shopping. The waitress was beyond horrible. Took her 30 minutes to ask for our drink order(when her section and 3/4 of the restaurant was empty). I ordered chicken alfredo and a salad with ranch. My mom ordered a cheeseburger and fries with no salt. I got my salad first. It had a ramekin of Italian dressing sitting in the lettuce spilled everywhere. Not even ranch, but Italian. I asked her for Ranch dressing after removing half the salad that was doused with Italian. After waiting approximately 15 minutes, as she was too busy leaning against the wall playing with her phone and talking to another worker, I had to walk over and ask her again for ranch. She brought it another 10 minutes later with our food. I had to ask her for silverware as well. Neither of us had any. She rolled her eyes and chewed her gum like a pig at the trough( young white girl with long brown hair) She was a complete bitch, too btw. My pasta was half mush, half crunchy with the chicken chewy and not cooked through. I asked for it to be remade. It came back again with the pasta the same and the chicken cold. The waitress asked how long did I want it microwaved for?!?! Eww...gross. My moms cheeseburger came with no cheese and salt on the fries. After the waitress bitched at me and said I ordered my food the wrong way, I had had enough. We left and ended up at McDonalds. The 2nd time, mom and I tried again. In an empty restaurant, again, it took about 15 minutes for them to seat us. I asked for something close to the door cause my mom is on oxygen and gets short of breath quickly. We stood around for what seemed like forever as the hostess and waitress stood in the back laughing and playing on their phones. When we were finally seated the waitress took another 10 minutes to come get our order. We left as we were hungry. The last and final time ever there I went with my parents for dinner. My dad ordered a blue moon and was told there wasn't any!! Seriously? On a Saturday night? Who does the ordering?! Or rather- what exactly does management do all day, since they aren't doing their jobs! Then he ordered a frozen margarita and was told the blender was broke. Again, seriously??!! Night was off to a very bad start. My dad ordered steak, mom ordered fish n chips- no salt, and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Our food came out. Dads steak was bleeding like a stuck pig, moms fish was most likely microwaved after being fried and sitting under a warmer, as the batter was mush. Her fries were salted, again. And my cheeseburger had a 1/4 piece of cheese, the burger was dry and overcooked and didn't come with tomatoes and onions as it's supposed to! I sent mine back. The manager wasn't there that day( hopefully she was fired) as they had a manager from a Port Huron store there. He offered nothing but and I'm sorry for the disgusting meal and lack of drinks. Who the hell runs a joint like this? Bitchy, rude hostess/waitresses that cannot do their jobs; cooks that do not know how to read an order or cookand microwave your chicken; and management that cannot do their jobs doing inventory and cannot train their staff and allow this BS to actually happen! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS PLACE STILL BEING ALLOWED TO SERVE THE PUBLIC!! read more

If you're looking to eat at Applebee's, drive to a location besides this one. There are other money hungry servers at different locations who will provide better service and not moan and groan every time they get a table. I totally get it - I'm a server and bartender but you never show that to your customers. While we were ordering our food they told us they ran out of what my boyfriend was ordering, then proceeded to take the menu so he couldn't look at it real quick to order something else. Why would any server do that? Appetizer and my entree came out at the same time. While we were ordering the server was talking to different tables or another coworker that was helping out with tables so we kept having to repeat ourselves and there was no acknowledgement that we were being heard LOL. Nevertheless, since I work in food service as well I don't tip less than 25% even if service isn't great, but on the way out I made sure to hand the server our money and say have a great night and they just grabbed it and walked away. I mean I wasn't expecting stellar service going to Applebee's but this was probably one of the worst experiences dining out. read more

Erin was amazing! the food was poppin. The grills were grillin. My burger was prepared with the upmost finess and my mac and cheese had the amazing contrast of salty yet savory.
