Haven't been to Applebees in a few years, this visit reminded me why. I was craving a Quesadilla burger though so I went inside to satisfy my taste. The service was quick however the bare minimum. Order, brought the food, an the check. The burger was almost a 4/10 but the fries made it a 5. The quality has gone down and the price has gone up. $17.09 for the meal totaling $22 with tip. I went down to the bar to pay so I could use tap to pay an it smelt like horrible BO. If I would have gotten that wiff before ordering, I would have left immediately. Never again am I dining at franchise restaurants. read more

The service was absolutely horrendous, stood at the door for 10 minutes before being helped. when I finally did order the server was completely rude and very disrespectful. I finally ordered and waited for about 45 minutes to an hour, someone came in about 10 minutes after me and got his food handed to him, so I went to look for my food and they had it just sitting at the bar so by time I got it and found it it was ice cold AND soggy. The "ambiance" sucked everyone was just staring including the employees instead of helping ? If I could give this place zero stars I would! Have been wanting to head to Applebee's for a while and today my grandson and I did just that..... Unfortunately it was not a good choice. I did notice that although it was lunchtime, the place only had 1/2 dozen customers besides us. No one was there to greet us so we waited to be taken to a table. Together we ordered , Mozzarella Sticks, I ordered a Cheeseburger w/fries and my grandson ordered the 4 cheese mac/cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken... A coke and a sweet tea. Final bill w/o tip was $47..... We got our food but no Mozzarella Sticks... Told they had been left off the order. We got them about halfway through the meal (They are good)..... Cheese burger was good but the amount of fries I got was less than a small order from Mcdonald's. Plus they tasted old and were not warm at all. My grandsons order - Menu shows it with 3 large Chicken Strips.... Nope, it comes with only 2 much smaller ones and unfortunately he didn't tell me but the pasta was cold by the time it got to him or I would have sent it back. Just very disappointing to say the least then add in that the place appears to be dated doesn't help the overall feel. We did visit the Cedar Hill location a couple of years ago and it was really good but I cannot recommend the Waxahachie location and if not for a very good server it would only be 1 star. read more

The minute we walked in, we knew we should have left. No one in there, dirty floors, really nasty A1 Sauce with nasty sauce all on the bottle. Dried up on the inside. Silverware was filthy! Chicken tenders were just like Sams Club pre breaded chicken and the sirloin was tough and nasty! Absolutely nothing was good but our server Wendy!! She was fantastic!!! The burgers at Applebee's are one of the best! My husband specifically chooses them when we want a lunchtime burger, and they're reasonably priced. They also allowed me to substitute a salad for the french fries so that was a big plus. Top it off with a dollar dessert, and it's a great meal! Our waitress, Courtney, was pleasant and efficient. So we decided to give apple bees a third chance since we were tried of the other restaurants in Waxahahie, and apple bees didn't fail to fail again. Placed order on web site for car side to-go. Web site was easy to use said order would be ready in 30 minutes arrived at restaurant called restaurant told them I was there, waitress came out and verified my name. 30 minutes later manager came out and said they loss our order and verified the order again. 30 minutes late manager brings and order out too our car and none of it is correct, at that I asked for a refund and left never to return. read more

They didn't acknowledge me for 10 minutes, and when they did they just walked away. when i finally got my food we didn't have the drinks we ordered. we had no silverware or any sauces we paid for. disrespectful people. This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. Hawaiian drink thing didn't even give me a buzz. Oriental salad was ok but too sweet. Pork chop was disgusting. Garlic green beans were nasty. Clearly previously frozen. Sriracha shrimp were ok but not great. Service was good, no problem. They charged me almost $8 for a small strawberry margarita on the rocks. I have never paid more than $2 for an applebees margarita and I will never go back to this location. I specifically asked for a small and she never specified there was different types. The new ravioli stuffed with cheese was also a super huge let down, not creamy at all. I'm honestly so disappointed in this store considering I go to the burleson location so often and even advertise for applebees on my social medias. I asked our waitress if it was actually $8 to which she rudely told me yes, wasn't even worth using my birthday coupon on, I will take it to the location that DOESN'T screw over their customers. Was in town the other day when my girlfriend and I got hungry. We go out quite a bit but neither of us had been to an Applebee's in years. We walked in for lunch and the dining room seemed about half full. We ordered off the 2 for $20 plus appetizer menu. I just have to pause a minute to say "wow!". We go out all the time but never have I ran across such a deal. I'm used to paying $50 or so for both of us per meal. The true question would be whether it was any good or not. The answer... Everything was perfect. Food was awesome and blew way past my expectations for the price. Service was great and the waitress was super nice and attentive. The location was clean and the manager checked up on us. Actually the only downside I saw was that the manager checked up on us 2-3 times. Add to that the waitress checking up on us and it seemed like ever 4 minutes someone was there. Overall I say this place is a great but and we'll probably venture there more often. read more

Endless wings on Wed's! Very worth the $, plus hot fresh fries with every new wing order. I like the Asian or Chipotle flavors the best. Tried the fried green beans and WOW, even better then they sound on paper. The dipping sauce has a hint of lemon and compliments them welll. Our server was Danielle and she was the best. This Applebee's was a dissapointment. The bathroom needed some attention. Our server was sweet, but at one point was focused on her friends that were visiting. My dinner was mediocre. I was not very impressed with the selection or the quality of the food. The only highlight of the visit was the Blondie that my boyfriend insisted we ordered. Bad, bad and worse...I have lived in the area for about 5 years and have been to this restaurant 4 times only...I do not want to go there again!!! The first time I was there we were seated where all of the waiters were taking a break, I was looked upside down by the waitress and after waiting for 15 minutes for one of the waiters taking a break to tend to use we left. The second time, we were seated by a family, the dad kept mistreating his wife and telling his daughter to go on welfare like many Mexicans. The third time, the service was decent. The fourth time, today, BAD!!! Our waitress was at the bar talking away and delayed in taking care of us, on top of that, my burger quesadilla was disgusting because the meat was raw in the middle...enough is enough! there are plenty of restaurants in the area to be treated like if we do not matter. read more

I frequently visit this location but my last visit was not a good one. I noticed the cook come out and visit different tables and inquire if things were ok but he never stopped by to see if I needed anything. Also my server Terri would stop and talk at other guests but not me. I had to beck to get her attention before she walked by my table. This is a follow up to our family celebration fiasco at another restaurant. We decided to come to the local Applebees and asking them about the wait, were told it'd be 20 minutes. Without informing the hostess about our earlier experience, they had our party seat within 15 minutes. Been to Applebees before in other cities so the menu and food was just as expected. The wait staff was very attentive to our entire group always keeping drink refills for the kids. Really appreciate the professional and courteous staff. They deserved the 5 star rating for turning a couple of grumpy kids to start into very pleased diners. read more

My wife had the cedar wood lemon chicken. The chicken was dry and not very lemony. The apple relish did not mix well with any of the flavors. I had the honey bbq riblets. They had decent flavor but there were nickel sized bone slivers throughout so I had to be careful not to chip a tooth. There was no ice in the water and the beer wasn't very cold. The restaurant wasn't very clean. The roof was leaking which led to a ceiling tile hanging precariously over a table. Service was subpar to ok. The bathrooms were dirty. It looked like they repainted the bathroom but didn't bother removing the sconces from the lights as they were half painted. This follows a trend for us as we keep giving different Applebee's a chance for redemption but always leave disappointed. We have never had a good experience at one. It turns out that if you write a complaint to the company about your service, all they do is put you on their marketing list and send you spam. The customer service is not very polite and the company clearly does not respond to or care about anyone's complaints. Also it took 3 tries before I was finally unsubscribed from their e-mail spam because I couldn't block them. Very rude and unprofessional. They do not deserve your money. They food really isn't worth it for the prices. I'd give them half a star if I could. read more

We Ordered: Double-Crunch Shrimp, 1/2 Rack Baby Rack Ribs, (2) French Onion Soups For years, the Double-Crunch Shrimp as been Butterflied Shrimp which was fresh, crunchy and delicious. This time the shrimp was just regular fried shrimp which appeared to be pre-battered, frozen shrimp. The taste was bland as well. When questioned, the server stated that Applebee's changed the entrée in Dec.2017 and that demand has fallen since. Baby Back Ribs and French Onion Soup was excellent. Service was excellent.
