Complete disconnect from the main office and their providers. I currently have 2 appointments booked one for Thursday from the main office (who said service is only on Thursdays and Tuesdays in my area) and one for Friday from the service man who says he sees no such appointment and they only do service Mon, wed, and Friday in my area? First of all, as in early 90s, they are still requesting half-day waiting window (i.e. stay home and be available from 8 to 12), Secondly and even more annoying: they don't think it is important for them to come.. Have been waiting today for 4.5 hours for the technician who did not appear. called them to see what's up, just to hear that the guy supposedly called me with no answer. (a) it is a lie, no one called and I stuck to my phone since 8am. (b) even if the did with no response, why not to call again? or again? give 2-3 attempts. maybe there is a line issue, maybe whatever.. It is not like they can come anytime I need.. Tip of the day: Find another appliance repair company!! They are NOT dependable and will NOT show up. We requested the last appointment for the day so one of us could be there when he arrived. They called me 3 times that morning to confirm we had an appointment scheduled between 5 and 6:00 pm. Then they called back and confirmed between 5 and 7:00 pm. Then at 7:10 he called a 4th time and said it would be more than an hour + before he would be there. This is unacceptable. We were expected to leave work early to be home on time for this appointment but they do not take responsibility to be on time for the appointment. Our time is as valuable as theirs. So, if you've got all day to sit around and hope they will show up (and they won't!) , then this is the repair company for you. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! I called for a repair and received a call from a service technician within minutes. The technician showed up at my house, told me he needed to get a part and would return the next day, however, I needed to pay half the charge up front, which I did. The technician never returned or responded to my text/phone calls. I then called "Appliance Pros" who connected me with the service tech, their phone system recognized my number and stated "We just recently sent a service tech to your address, would you like to be reconnected". I wanted to speak with a person about my problem, once I was connected to a person, they knew my address, however, they stated they have no info on sending a technician to my home. I asked how could their auto phone system state they recently sent service to my home and the person on the phone recited my address to me without me telling them and say there is no record of me? They passed me on to another person who stated no info but knew my address as well. They then hung up on me twice and provided me with no assistance in getting me my money back $125.14. This company is crooked in my opinion. I used them twice. The first they said my brand new Wolf stove needed a $2000 part. They charged me for an estimate so I called Wolf and they sent Wilshire Appliances and there is NOTHING wrong with the stove. Liars and CHEATS. Then I called them again-by mistake- and they charged me $396 to fix the drain in my washer and it is broken again 3 months and 4 days later. They refuse to fix it. This company is horrible. This place has decent appliances at good prices but they advertise different prices all over social media, web site says they are open on Sundays...but no one was there except an employee that had been there for several hours waiting for the owner to show up. The owner finally showed up and was unapologetic about how long we waited outside. He also didn't want to provide the free delivery that was advertised ... we live 12 miles from the store but it wasn't local. read more

I have gotten a fridge and a washer and dryer from here in the past. All appliances were in excellent condition, practically new. Plus they delivered to me all the way in Chino Hills the same day. I didn't even have to go there to order I just told them what I wanted over the phone and they brought it to me. My parents have also gotten a fridge from here as well. read more

I'm always a bit skeptical when calling a service repair shop, But Discount Appliances and repairs took care of me and my family. The technicians were very professional and most of all knowledgeable. They came out the same day and fixed my washer without any pressure of trying to sale me something that I did not need. Two days later my dryer breaks down. So I decide to go to their shop and look around, again I was blown away of how knowledgeable the staff was. Although money was a bit tight Discount Appliances was willing to work with me. They gave me credit for my washer that they had just fixed and I walked out with matching washer and dryer. They even installed them same day. I hired Appliance Pros of Hamden CT, they were recommended by Home Advisor. If I could give them a 0 star I would, After receiving a quote for ice maker repairs and a dryer repair I wrote a check for the parts and then waited 2 weeks to get the guy back to actually do the repairs. He came at 6:00pm to finally do the repairs, the bill was payed and off he went. The ice maker never did work,and the dryer went bad again within two weeks. After multiple attempts to get them back I finally called Home Advisor only to be told that they do not represent them any more and to seek redress thru small claims. DO NOT USE EITHER HOME ADVISOR OR APPLIANCE PROS, i'm out $627.95 and now i have to get some else in to fix the appliances. read more

This company is awful and I will never do business with them ever again ! I bought a fridge back in May and had a 90 day warranty on it . Not even two months into the purchase the fridge froze over on me and all my food went bad because it wasn't cold . I called them out to fix and supposedly they fixed the issue but not even a month later same issue and now it's not under warranty and they want to charge me for them to come and fix the same damn problem that obviously they didn't fix the first time . I paid 700 dollars for this fridge and it's a pile of crap . I will not do business with these crooks ever again !! read more

Worst experience ever. Bought a fridge that was delivered late, the delivery guy put gashes in my wall, one of the veggie drawers was broken and the fridge was filthy even though they said it'd be thoroughly cleaned. Took them 2 weeks to come out when the ice machine first broke and now they won't answer my calls. Now my warranty is up and I doubt they will honor it even though I've tried to get ahold of them for 2 months. DONT buy from them, I never will again. read more

I called here based on the reviews I saw....so when the tech came to check my refer....he asked me about what was wrong... I told him...he proceeded to check it over thought it might be a defrost timer or maybe a leak...ran it for awhile...starting getting cold but could not figure if it was timer or what called his office to ask someone if they could come at look at it...they could not told me it would be 200 to find a leak if had one and fix it...this person installed no confidence in his ability to fix my refergarator.....please do not send out a junior tech to do a job they don't know how to do....cannot recommended this business..... read more

If I could give this business less than 1 star I would. Unreliable, and unethical to say the least. We purchased a fridge from them in October, they didn't deliver on time and shelves were missing. It broke down in December and we had to literally call every hour and then go to the store just to get it serviced. It broke down again in January and again we could not get a hold of anyone. We called, went to the store and finally they came to pick it up. Ready in 3-5 days they said, well its August and not only have they never made any attempt to contact me they have ignored my calls and even a letter I sent to the store. Then I went down there again and talked to Tony, who said he would help, but again they did not keep their word. Nice guys. Service was ok. My fridge broke and I asked straight out to get a diagnosis and of course I'd pay for time, and that way I knew what would cost more.. To repair or buy new? Either way they were going to get my business. They came out several times. The first 2 times with different problems, each time my fridge went down all my groceries went bad and I had to replace them (which was why I wanted a one and done). Then he recommended a refurbished part, it sounded like he was positive it would work so I said ok. The fridge went down again, I had to pay the difference for the new part since THEY DO WARRANTY ON THEIR WORK. But I still had to pay a service call fee (which I really didn't agree with). And towards the end it took almost a miracle to get them to work with my schedule and fix my fridge. I literally called into work late just to make sure the work was done. My total loss not including "work hours loss" was $700-$800 (includes work, labor $400+ & groceries that went bad during the process). If you throw in the time I lost in work, it would've been cheaper just getting a new fridge. read more

Great service, was on time. The time he quoted me is the time he was here. Made me a good quote for the repairs. Unfortunately when he dug into the repair he found other item that were in bad shape. Honestly when we walked in to this place a year ago, I wasn't excited about it. We bought a washer and dryer, newer looking (front loading washer and dryer) we had just bought a new house and we needed something to wash and dry our clothes. We couldn't afford anything new. Purchase was great, they work and have for a year. Then the dryer just stopped heating. My husband tried to fix it him self, YouTube says it's easy but there was so many pieces and it's a lot to open up... so we decided to call someone it fix it, and we remembered the place we bought them from was close by and fixed appliances too. Sunday after noon we called, they were at my house the very next day! The man was very nice and talked to me about what was wrong. Then he shows me the piece that was not working and that it needed to be replaced. He fixed it in 30 minutes!! And he even said if anything goes wrong I can call them back!!!! Thank you very much!!!
