Online information said it was probably a fan that moves airflow from the freezer to the fridge. Maybe a motor or a control board. The service tech came to my house to look at the fridge. This took about 10 minutes. I had already pulled the fridge out and had it ready to be checked. The tech just pushed some buttons on the fridge controls and read out a code within minutes. Nothing removed or taken apart. Based on the code, the cost for repair would be $824! Not to mention that the warranty would only be a few months. I could have done the same thing with the buttons and gave him the code to avoid a $95 service call. He could have then told me that he would charge me over $800 for the repair. Not too happy to be charged over $500 an hour for diagnostic work. People think about this before you commit to a $95 service call fee! I bought a new side by side refrigerator/freezer for $1100 (with 10% off coupon) from Home Depot.

Tuesday morning, after speaking to at least four companies, based on their initial fee, response time, and availability, I'm so glad I went with Appliance Repair SFM. Jake was our technician and I was impressed how he quickly started to take apart the dryer and inspect what was wrong with it. I was anticipating the dreadful answer of buying a new one, and thankfully that wasn't the outcome. Jake showed me that the belt was worn out and the inside of the drum that had some type of plastic covering over the metal was gone and needed replacing, it also needed a good cleaning. Jake told me how much parts were plus labor, which was reasonable rather than buying a new dryer! Since he had to order parts, he would finish the project by Thursday or Friday and he gave me his business card if I had additional questions. I didn't hear from Jake on Wednesday, so I called him, and he picked up! He said the parts weren't in yet and he'd contact me on Thursday, which he did, in addition to setting up a time on Friday he'd come by to complete the project. In conclusion, Jake was a pleasure to work with. He's responsive, respectful, honest, and didn't try to upsell me on anything. I'd definitely contact him again if I do have other repairs needed.

When I questioned the charge, the technician told me he could not leave my property until I paid the $60, which made me feel pressured and uncomfortable. What concerned me even more was when I asked the technician which company he was with, he told me "ACE." I specifically asked if he meant ACE in Hacienda Heights, which is a completely different company, and he said yes. It wasn't until afterward that I discovered the actual company name through Thumbtack. After this happened, I had to create an account to see the actual company name and the full pricing information, including the $60 fee. I understand service fees are common, but I believe they should be clearly communicated upfront, especially when communication is being handled through text. Customers should also be given accurate information about who is providing the service. Overall, the lack of transparency and the way the situation was handled left me feeling misled and uncomfortable.

Requested got response right away. Gave info over yelp got reasonable low quote for house call srvc charge applied to cost of job same day availability. Nicholas was professional explained issue gave more accurate quote for repair but changed price after needing to replace part. Dishwasher was not draining thought was clogged hose originally after opening up found motor pump needed to be replaced had on hand correct part. Repair took more time he was charging per hour. Price was still reasonable after discussion he lowered price alittle. Has been a couple of months dishwasher working well. Will call again for other repairs. He can repair fridge or setup washer dryer as well. This is a newer business he is self employed willing to work with customer. Would suggest adding drop cloth for water appliance repairs as our floor was wet we had to look for old towels to soak up not readily handy. This would be key for better customer service repair. read more

Update 1/8/26 had another company come to my house , Not only was it only a clogged drain filter that was causing the issue when your technician came out to my home I told him I felt like it was the drain pump filter that was clogged. I had washed a floor mat that was extremely lint filled, and it sounded like it was struggling to drain. Your technician did not even takeoff the back of the washer the top of the washer or even look for a filter. In fact when I asked him that question he said no this washer does not have a filter yesterday Steve's appliance came to my home, took the washer back off. Found the filter. Found the drain pump clean both of them and voilà my washer worked again. I questioned your ability to diagnose problems considering you wanted to put in a new drain pump when that wasn't even the issue I again do not recommend this company. read more

He had two repair options; he could replace only the parts that were causing the issue, or replace the entire pulley/wheel system with a kit (forgive me if that's not the correct verbiage. Robert said it correctly but alas, I'm no expert and can't remember his exact words lol). We opted to replace with the kit. He had the kit available with OEM parts on his truck and had the dryer components removed, replaced and reassembled within an hour. He was communicative every step of the way. Not only was all of that already fantastic and impressive, but he also removed all lint and cleaned the pieces before reassembling. He also gave advice on load sizes for longevity of both machines. Above all, beyond his expertise and precise work, Robert was very friendly and genuine. I appreciate people like that! That lead to cleaning out my dryer filters next to the heater. Esteban was very educated in what maintenance needed to be done to get the full expectancy out of all my appliances. He explained how all home appliances also need check ups and internal cleanings. I will always call Esteban to get a repair done because its not automaticly oh buy a new appliance. Hes on the to do list to check the air conditioning next for a regular check up.

It was nice that they send a link to track the technician but I don't think it was working. Good thing Steve called ahead and informed me he was due to arrive in 30 minutes. He arrived along time and quickly diagnosed the problem. It was a bad compressor which required about a two order window. Steve was very professional and advised to contact the manufacturer to see if it was under warranty. After contacting the manufacturer it was still under warranty but they require a service technician in their network to come out and diagnosed which would cost $145 and then they would order the parts. So glad JEA's service call was $50. Otherwise, I would have used JEA to continue the repair but it would cost me over $900.

We have a 5+ year-old LG gas stovetop that has 5 knobs that were in various states of failure. We had gone to the LG parts website and called them directly as well for replacements, since we had no idea how to change them ourselves. It turned out that only 2 of the 5 were in stock, costing approximately $55/each! When we spoke with Abel, who was very busy working on a refrigerator repair took the time to inform us that these types of parts are easily sourced on sites like Amazon.com and that if we were unable to find the replacements, he would be more than happy to help us. Indeed, we were able to see that there are many non-OEM parts available for a fraction of the OEM cost, and ultimately, we spent about $25, including tax, which solved our problem. We want to thank Abel publicly again for his kindness and expertise. He will certainly be the one that we call in the future for any of our appliance repair needs.
