He spent enough time to troubleshoot the problem and replace the ignition switch and realized it wasn't the correct one that the model called for it had a low amp output. so he had an upgraded one that did the job perfectly. the range runs better than ever before. He worked clean and carted the scrap away. the pricing worked a little different than the way I was used to when I called for service.But I called the warranty and it was justified and very fair and really only a few bucks more than the normal 75 dollar fee. so I have nothing bad to say about them. He was very nice and polite. He really listened to me when I described what it was doing. David was very professional and really knew his stuff. I hired ARSTB to fix my dryer since it had been making a strange noise. I found them on Craig's List. They came out to my home on 12/9/13 to look at the dryer, but then had to order parts, so they explained that they would have to come back to do the repair the next day. They collected $20 cash from me as the service call fee and wrote up the estimate for $245 total. They estimated $85 for a "MOTOR BLOWER," but when they arrived the next day they had brought a BLOWER WHEEL (a $30 part). When I asked them about this they said that they don't buy parts online. I explained that $140 was a lot to pay for labor, and I agreed to pay it to ensure the dryer was fixed properly, but that I did not want to pay an unfair price for parts. So, they lowered the part to $50. They performed the repair and I paid them the balance of $165 (I caught an error in the math where they had added the total wrong (charging $30 more than they should have). At the conclusion of the repair the dryer was working properly and there was no noise detected. A few hours or so later the noise came back. When I called them the next day to explain they said they were very busy and asked if they could come back the next day. I was fine with that. This dragged on till Friday and then I was told they could come on Saturday morning. I was willing to give them every opportunity to fix the dryer since I felt like I had no recourse anyway. I did not want to upset them, so I was very agreeable on when they could come. I had my son's last flag football game on that Sat morning, but decided to stay home (I had my wife take him) and wait for the repair guys in order to ensure the dryer was fixed properly. They explained that they would be here EARLY .. around 8AM. It is now 10AM and I've left 3 messages and nobody has called me back. They are still not here and I am afraid they will not be coming back to make this right for me. The problem is that the serviceman mistakenly failed properly to adjust the kick-plate which prevented the door from closing, which prevented the machine from being used, and which necessitated a new appointment and waiting window. This proved to be seriously inconvenient for me. In my view, the owner, Roman, should have accommodated for his company's mistake and should that day have made arrangements for a service person to return that day. He didn't accommodate my request, requiring me to cancel a doctor's appointment previously scheduled on the first date a service person could come. Not good. Now my review, sadly, is reduced to three stars. I don't like feeling that I must give an honest review, which is below five stars. In my view, a five star review connotes perfect service. So, when the owner was apprised that the service was immediately imperfect, he should have bent over backwards to make things right on the day that the appointment occurred. Between the owner's inconvenience and mine, it's the owner who should have suffered the inconvenience on the day that things should have been right, not wrong. By this review, I'm letting him know he should have done better, way better. After discussing water hardness with the building engineer he change the internal softener setting, which will reduce use of salt and protect the racks from rust. He demonstrated cleaning the microfiber pores in the filter and brushed out grime deep in the hinges. I debated the cost for a certified repair shop and now I am confident it was the right choice.
