My dryer timing mechanism died which allowed my dryer to run forever. Since I had no idea who to call, I procrastinated fixing it and timed it on my cell phone. Bill repaired our dryer today. I give Bill 5 stars. He quickly returned my request for repair. He asked questions to allow him to to give me a range for possible repairs needed. He gave me a window of arrival time and phoned when he was on his way. When he arrived, he again went over the possible repair charges. Bill quickly discovered the problem and repaired. After answering the questions he let me know he was pretty sure what the problem was, but that he couldn't make it out until the next day, so he offered to give me some other businesses that might be able to help today. I thought that was a really great way of doing business, and I wasn't in a super rush so I decided to wait for him to come by tomorrow morning. I called Bill to get a quote to come out and take a look at a broken refrigerator. He provide a quote, but also offered to troubleshoot the problem over the phone. After evaluating the situation, he offered several potential solutions and told me one of them I could try on my own before a service call. He helped me identify the part number that he suspected needed replacement and walked me through how to replace it. After following some instructions, I had more questions and called him back and he graciously provided more advice. I ordered the part, and after being without a refrigerator for a week or so, I installed it following his instructions and some youtube videos and now have a working fridge. He was happy to come out to install this for me, but was also just as happy to provide instructions on how to do it myself if it was possible to do so. My 35 year old fridge started making a loud humming noise, and I posted a callback request on Yelp well after working hours, around 7 pm. I didn't expect a reply until the next day, but to my surprise Bill responded within just a few minutes. He listened carefully to my lengthy recitation of the issue and suggested a number of options and strategies for troubleshooting the source. He was able to locate my "heritage" appliance in a parts manual and suggest a likely substitute part if needed, since OEM parts are no longer available for this model. He followed up with a phone call the next day. Ultimately I decided not to repair the appliance at this time, but I will certainly call Bill should any of my appliances go on the fritz. He is a great listener, incredibly knowledgeable - even about near-antique appliances - totally professional, and above all HONEST. I can't recommend Bill more highly. read more

My Oven decided to stop working during the Covid-19 lockdown. Of all times to lose your oven with 4 people at home! I called a company that I thought was local to me, that company (NOT THE COMPANY I AM REVIEWING NOW) came out diagnosed the problem took a deposit on the part needed and promised to come out the next day and then completely ghosted me for 3 days... I called Bill at appliance pros and he came out the same day diagnosed the problem and gave me a solid estimate. My Kenmore Elite refrigerator stopped cooling Friday morning. I called Bill (picked out of the blue) at noon. He called back within ten minutes, scheduled an appointment for 5 to 6 that afternoon. Bill is a gem. We wake up on a Saturday morning to a broken refrigerator. I look up local repair businesses, and Bill's my first call (thankfully!). Bill calls me back shortly and suggests walking through troubleshooting over the phone, which I can do. We do the cursory checks, and Bill recommends replacing a couple of small parts - and even says you can do it yourself, and if you have any questions, please call back and I'll talk you through it! My Kenmore dryer needed repairs. I called Bill to get it repaired and when Bill came in he was very rude, provided misinformation and caused permanent damage to my granite counter top. Firstly, he didn't even ask if he should take his shoes off; or, perhaps, bring some shoe protectors to cover his feet before coming in to my home. Then, he walked right to the dryer and placed all the metal parts over my granite counter top. Placing the metal parts resulted in a large scratch that's now permanent! Finally, misdiagnosed the air duct saying the duct needed cleaning and this is completly wrong. I will never call him again. Even though the dryer is indeed working, the price of the counter top and the extremely poor customer service lead me to provide this poor review. read more
