When I called the guy, I had a hard time understanding what he was asking of me. He would then parrot the words I'm saying rather than confirm what we were agreeing to. I set a date two weeks out, so I can utilize a holiday than take time off of work. The day (9/1/25) comes and he told me 1100 to 1300 hours. I wait the whole duration and I didn't hear a peep from him. I called ORHP where they then advised me to call the contractor up and ask for his ETA. When I called him, again he was unintelligible, a child was screaming in the background and he told me his ETA was from 1300-1500 hours. Wait a waste of a day. I told him he got is time wrong and needs to hurry down where he then tells me it's an hour from his house. The man arrives an hour and some change after in an unmarked personal sedan. Cool. Nothing against folks taking a non-traditional working vehicles to jobs, but gives me pause for concern. I invite him inside where we exchange greetings (or what I can muster up to a greeting). Where he then goes into the laundry room to begin work. He carried a small tote carry a variety of tools and I felt as though he was inadequately prepared for the job. Again, it gave me pause but I allowed him to continue with his work. An hour goes by, two hours goes by, he comes in and out of the house, retrieving a tool here, calling a friend there, it feels like this guy wasn't getting anywhere. Another client calls where I can hear within earshot asking "Where are you?" and the man gives a timeframe of 15 mins. It was not 15 minutes but an hour later. The hour is up and no progress is made, in fact, the man breaks the lock so I can no longer open the door to the washing machine. He leaves and tells me he needs to order a couple of parts (mind you an additional part for the lock he broke). Based on this visit, there was no way progress was going to happen since he didn't even have the parts available anyways. Days go by and I have no return phone call, where I then called him and ask what's the status, he tells me that the insurance company needs to approve of the parts where I then verified the information and his words have some value and weight. He finally calls me the following week and I set another time for him to come down 9/18/25. This time, I had my brother fill in, because I am not wasting a day off. The guy calls me about 1200 saying he's 5 minutes away, I then tell him, you told me 1300-1500 and that my brother won't be there for another hour. He tells me he will arrive later then. This man has no concept of time and either shows up an hour before an agreed time, or sets the wrong times. My brother conveys to me, that he begins deconstructing the washing machine, tries to reassemble parts together, it is unknown to me if the parts were used when the machine was built back up and in between that reconstruction of the washing machine, the man cuts himself. My brother calls me asking where I put the first aid kit and I directed him to where. The man then concludes his day by putting the machine together, leaving droplets of blood throughout my laundry room, kitchen, living room and bathroom. My brother tells me he cleaned up the blood, but upon a close inspection, blood was in fact everywhere. Where he did clean up the blood, there was still a thin red line where blood pooled on my kitchen floor. Gross. After he left, my brother told me he literally came in, took the machine apart, cut himself and left. He told my brother he would bring a new washer to replace my old one because he couldn't fix it. When I drove home from work, I called ORHP, conveyed what is happening with this weirdo where they then commented the service rendered was also strange. I was then assigned a new contractor. Let's see if the foolishness continues. AIJ APPLIANCE REPAIR LLC., literally wasted my time and my brother's time. Nothing was fixed, things got worse, punctuality is not a virtue of this man and as a representative of his business; needs to reevaluate if this is the field for him. I cannot tell if the job was hard, he lacked a skill set or was simply incompetent, no one will know because I cannot understand a single word from that man. Overall, I'm contemplating to cancelling ORHP with their sketchy list of contractors, but also, never allow AIJ APPLIANCE REPAIR LLC to do work in your home.

The tech proceeds to tell me it is because I don't use rinse aid, which is total BS. Then he tells me it's the dishwashing detergent because it does not bubble, also total BS since these detergents are designed specifically NOT to bubble. Finally he tells me the machine is 6 years old, when I know for a fact it's more like 20 years old. Stay away from these disingenuous and incompetent people.

I was scheduled for an appointment through Bodewell, a company that manages and handles the service repair requests for GE (phone 833 426339355, yes it was a long phone number). Bodewell in turn, scheduled an appointment time with Topline Appliance Service (571 505 5580). I am not going to go into the details, but one should know that they are dealing with 3 levels of "paperwork, authorizations, and communications." Be sure that you know your CASE NUMBER if you run into any issues. GE will want this information. I am not going to sugar coat the process, it took from January 27th, when I first called in my repair to February 17th to finally get my washer repaired. There were many phone calls in between. There definitely is a communication issue, however, the good news is that Topline Appliance Service did an excellent job with the repair. Fahim, Jawid, and there was a third technician whose name I didn't get, did an outstanding job with servicing my washer. They even pointed out to me that the original installer of my new washer mixed up the hot and cold hoses. They adjusted the hoses for a nominal fee. My suggestion to anyone going through this process is to be proactive with your communications with these 3 companies. Re-confirm appointments ahead of time to be sure that there are no last minute changes, to also keep a log of all phone calls and to be proactive, do not wait for them to call you. I give Topline Appliance 5 stars for the great job their technicians did, but only 1 star for the three companies involved in the process. Update since I posted this review. GE customer support just sent me an email dated 17 Feb 2026 at 544 pm to follow up to see if the issue was resolved. Let me add their phone number as a reference: GE Appliances Consumer Relations 1-800-386-1215 option 4 and enter case number
