Manni has been my appliance saver for over 15 years and two houses. He is super responsive and if it is an emergency will make every effort to come right away. I have a built in Fridge that is very large and difficult to work on and he was able to get the water to work. It took a couple of visits because of parts, but he did it. Today my double oven was not working and he got it running until the part comes in. Both units are older high end units. No hidden fees, no overselling, just fair pricing. We were initially quoted a $79 diagnostic fee for our dishwasher. He came to the house and said he couldn't fix it; it was an electrical issue and we needed to hire an electrician, and then charged us $169. When we questioned the charges, he told us that he spent the time to make the dishwasher work in the meantime (ie pulling it out and plugging it into an extension cord in a different outlet, which was actually the homeowner's idea). When the other contractor came to the house, he couldn't believe what we were charged and easily fixed the issue and put the dishwasher back into place in 10 minutes total. We feel duped and will not use this company again for any of our properties, and will recommend to our neighbors and friends not to use them either. read more

ok- the good. He came out the day I called and looked at my issue. The bad- I asked "do you service GE appliances?" he said "yes" (And that's on his website). It's a gas range- once again- no problem. He showed up and asked "is that the stove?" No. that's a dryer, but OK, maybe a language thing. Looks at the range and says "I've never worked on one of these" My griddle burner isn't very hot and it smells like gas when you use it. He wanted to drill a hole in the orifice, but I didn't think that was the best idea. Said I didn't have a problem. Asked him if the gas smell is a problem- the answer was "yes, but i still didn't have a problem" Weird. Do I have a problem or not? after a $60 (military discount down to $50) service fee and i still have a burner that doesn't work right AND it smells like gas. Responsive, fairly priced and timely service to repair our GE dishwasher. The service call charge was half of GE's fee. I contacted All Year Appliance Repairs on a Monday afternoon they were able to accommodate our work schedule by coming after 6 pm for the service call. Maani, the Technician called 15 minutes before arrival and was able to diagnose and fix a problem with the motor in about an hour. Overall a very good experience! read more

My electric range is not working, I called so many people from yelp but no body answering except this guy. He came and check the stove and say need to order parts. Not heard from him week, I call him. He came with parts, installed it, again some problems. Short he finally fixed it after 16 days of first call. Wow - searching for an appliance repair person is tough. The reviews on Yelp of everyone else made me want to throw my broken dishwasher out the window and just go back to handwashing. (Thank you to everyone who takes time to share their experiences on this site - very helpful.) Manny, the owner of All Year Appliance, is a diamond in the rough. He answered his phone on a Sunday afternoon, listened to my situation entirely, and promised to be out on Monday around 1pm. Sure enough, he arrived exactly on time and was very thorough in his work. The estimate he gave me on Sunday was exactly what I paid ($49.95 service call). My dishwasher was not repairable - he gave me suggestions on what to look for in a more reliable model. Even better... Manny called me two days later to make sure I was able to find a solution. I wish all service businesses had this level of customer service. Manni is the guy! Called on Monday about a sheet of ice in the bottom drawer freezer of our fridge that was preventing it from closing. He said he'd be there on Tues PM. arrived at 3 PM and went right to work. disassembled freezer door and drawers, cleared the ice and unplugged the drain. reassembled and ensured the freezer drawer closed properly. out the door in under an hour. reasonable price. Excellent! I called in a panic regarding my LG washing machine that stopped working in the middle of a load. It was a Thursday @ 3pm (next day was a Holiday). I had gotten had a referral from a neighbor for another company who told me they couldn't come out for 5 days. While there were only 2 reviews on yelp that were 5 star I decided to "take my chances". Manny didn't disappoint. He spoke to be at length about problem and told me he'd be over "after 5". He arrived at 6:30, diagnosed the issue within 10 minutes (it was the pump, not motor) and he confirmed he had the part in his trunk. He also cleaned out the drain hose prior to installation and was out the door within an hour! He told me on the phone the service call fee was $49.95 ($30 less than the other company!) and if I needed any work done it would be part of the entire price. Total: $240 for a digital front loading washing machine, after hours no less! He also gave major advice regarding loading the washer, concerns over heavy loads (towels and jeans) and the wear that has on the bearings. He stated "everything is working well, I don't want it to go bad for you". Super impressed! read more

Pros: Maani quickly diagnosed the problem with my oven, had the part in stock in his van, and fixed it within 30 minutes. Cons: 1. He had to cancel/reschedule our initially scheduled appointment 2. For a part (ignitor) that costs around $50 online (when i asked him about it he told me it cost $180), and 30 minutes of labor tops, he charged me $290, which i thought was unreasonably high. read more

Called and got a same day appt for a leaking dishwasher, and repairman arrived as scheduled in the 2-hr service window. Very knowledgeable, professional, and asked pertinent questions to narrow down the causes. Was very thorough, and made sure the repairs were correct prior to leaving and gave tips on how to extend the life of the appliance. Very good price, especially for same-day appt. I found him today after calling around locally trying to find anyone who could fix my washing machine before thanksgiving with no luck, then I turned to Yelp and found Manni, he actually answered the phone and then came out a couple hours later, amazing. My washing machine would not drain and was full of water I have a Kenmore elite unit with more lights and buttons than a spaceship and was not even thinking about trying myself. I bought a bought a home--my first home--in Old Town three years ago. It turns out I do not have the time or skills to DIY. Needless to say, I am always on the lookout for a good repairman, plumber, contractor, etc. So far, I have had many more negative experiences than positive. After one company tried to fix my washing machine, I was not satisfied. Luckily, my next call went unanswered. The next call was to Maani, and I am happy to say I finally found "one of the good guys". Before scheduling an appointment, Maani spent 20 minutes on the phone talking about my problem. He arrived the next day and spent the time to diagnose and explain the problem to me. Next, he told me to purchase new because the parts and labor would be a couple hundred dollars less than brand new. That night he called me to tell me what he found online for good washers. I was blown away by the customer service. He could have made ~$500 off me and only walked away with $59.95 (his service call fee). Honest, caring and skilled! This is the second time Manni has come to my house to fix something - the first was the dishwasher and he did such a quick and good job that when my disposal stopped working I didn't hesitate. He was here about 45 minutes and changed out the broken disposal for a new one. I find him to be very good, polite, clean and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
