We used Approved Contractor complete significant work around our house including removing repairing or replacing all of our wooden house sidings (the house is 77 yrs old), pulling out repairing and reinstalling nine windows, replacing all window frames, installing two new French Doors, laying new slate tiles, and painting entire house including doors trim and gates. It required significant labor. We had several contractors bid on our required work, and Justin not only came in with a better bid than the others but was the most straight forward, actually listened to our questions, made some significant suggestions which we had overlooked, and was wonderfully straight forward and pleasant. He was always available to us to answer questions during our construction. The workers were always timely, polite, did beautiful work, and cleaned up every day before leaving. I needed major stucco, paint and a new Stack Stone facade work done on my house and detached garage along with a new front and side door and a pair of windows for two rooms. Our home is almost 60 years old and was in dire need of exterior work. Due to having almost universally bad experiences with various contractors in the past, my wife and I took almost 3 months going interviewing various contractors and getting bids before settling on Approved Contractors. We weren't looking for lowball bids, just a contractor that would do good work at a fair price and in a timely fashion. The bids ranged from as low as $5k up to $25k+. Approved Contractors came in about $13k with the caveat we bought the Stack Stone material and the new doors/framing on our own which was an additional $4k. They provided all other materials (stucco, paint, etc). Once the project date was set about 6 weeks after we inked the contract, we dealt mostly with the manager Justin who was very responsive via e-mail or phone. If I had any questions, such as a day or two which it rained and when work could resume, he returned my call or e-mail within the same day, usually within an hour or two. Jesus was the on-site crew manager for the majority of the exterior work and was very friendly and accommodating to any questions or issues we brought up (such as we changed the color of one part of the front as they started painting it!). One particular issue I had was during the week much of the work was done, it was extremely hot in the house and we had to move a large AC unit frequently to disconnect and re-connnect before and after exterior work was done during the day and the crew helped me move the huge unit in and out of it's housing so my family had AC in the evening. The doors and windows were installed in one day about a week before the exterior was started. The work on the house exterior was started on the agreed upon day and the crew was always the as-needed number of workers. No one or two guys dragging out the job for weeks - in fact, they finished a couple days ahead of schedule despite a two day rain interruption. When the front exterior wall and planters were torn out, it was discovered that there was no insulation in the wall which was addressed during the same day for a reasonable add-on price. The quality of work was excellent and exactly what we wanted. Great care was taken with keeping the grounds clean during and after a day's work. As noted, they actually finished the project in two week's time (including working a Saturday) *under* the estimated time frame for completion. Like most people, I normally only take time to write and complain about bad experiences with a business, but my positive experience with Approved Contractors was so strikingly good, I feel compelled to take the time to note what a great experience getting my house done with these people has been. read more

The siding job was composed of removing old wood siding (from the front of the house only) and install James Hardie siding material plus install insulation since the opportunity was there.
