Went here only because I was broke, had moved, and recieved a "free" coupon in the mail for an oil change. As I was just past due for one, why not? Was a little curious when making the appointment to hear they are a weekday-only shop. What?! Who does that? So I scheduled the last appointment of an upcoming day, and was again taken aback to hear I should plan an hour or hour and half. What?! I've had oil changes in 20 minutes! Hmmm... well it's free (and I'm broke), can make time to sit and wait (thank goodness for cell phones to zone out with)... let's just do it... Huh! Turns out there's a good reason for all this! In the 70 minutes I was in there, I saw this General Manager do more work for free than I've seen many people do in half a day! As I listened to his many customer interactions (they were more interesting than my cell phone) it became apparent he was in this for the long haul. Although young, he has old-fashioned ideas of being honest and reputable ABOVE making bankroll! I went so far as to privately talk to 2 of the other customers (one also new) who were equally amazed and impressed with the helpfulness, sincerity, and honesty of the GM. It became clear to me that this shop, with the current General Manager in position, WILL be there for any of us when we need him. He will give us a fair price, a hard day's work, and a sincere "thank you for the business." My A/C had the great timing of the going out just as the temperature in the Valley spiked. Unfortunately we could not make the repairs ourselves. Fortunately I recalled using APR with my last vehicle some time ago. We called on a Friday and APR set us up for an appointment on the following Monday. Monday morning came and we were able to drop the keys off for the diagnosis early. By noon, we were contacted with the work that needed to be done and felt the price was fair. pete is a liar and is unprofessional i will never go back to them ever again first they has my car for a month and a half to not fux anything and continuously gave me the run around. I already explained in detail the issue I was having and he assured me no problem bring it in we will look at it the following day. It was towed there monday may 11 it was delivered at night so they would have it in the morning. lie or misquote(?)#1 first I had to call them to verify they had it because nobody called me to tell me they did. Then I was told "oh yea were a lil busy so we'll get to it tomorrow " I didnt hear anything until I called the following monday in which he told me they are just now getting around to look at it and they would call me to let me know that Thursday I call because again no communication and he told me they are still working on.... at this point its been a week and 2 days and its not been diagnosed yet mind you they know what ny symptoms are and should know at least a staring point still have no idea why its taking this long a whole week and 2 day and they didnt even look at it when they said they would which caused delays itself. that monday he finally called me told me the issue and that he can order parts that will get there Wednesday I gave the go ahead to start the repair I hear nothing so i called that friday ... week 3... for a update . pete says the parts are delayed and they will be there next week (week 4) I asked how come no one called and informed me of the delay, to which he said "oh yea we will call u next time" mind you they only called me 2 time in 3 weeks He finally called me to tell.me the parts got there and now and now they have to wait to schdule the programer to cone program it which was another week week 5 programmer finally got my parts and im lead to think its all going accordingly... for another week to go by with no call or update I call again week 6 and pete now tells me that the programmer had to take my parts to do it at there shop and it should be back in the next day or 2 ... I called on juneteenth private to see if they were open an pete answered the phone n i hung up I gave it 4 days then called back for him to tell me that they were closed and nobody was at the shop friday (juneteenth) and that its all programed and he is waiting for the part to come back.... I call again 4 days later pete tells me its all done they have my part and they are going to put it back together in the next 2 days .... I waited 2 days I call got no answer left vm and got a call back the day after he told me it was going to be done to then tell me no they dont have my part no the programmer cannot program it and he has the part and will put .y car back together for me to get it the following day. I called ... pete is not there... another person said they just got my part back and its not going to be ready for another day. I called the next day at 8am talk to pete he says "i have to be patient because its hot outside" not even bringing up the fact he lied and said my part was there when it wasnt now its the weathers fault and being very rude and unprofessional when i tured to bring up that fact talking over me. A month and a half of bullshit coming right out of petes mouth every single time I spoke to him not to mention he complained about the syptoms my car was having. bitch u work on cars and you knew what the symptoms where when i asked can u fix it and u told me u would get it diagnosed within a couple days it say in there parking lot for a week and a half before anybody even looked at it the shop is right around the corner so I would go look periodically they put me on the backburner wasted my time didnt commicate like they should have and lied the whole way thru it. pete is scum and id fire him asap if he not the owner he definitely make the shop look bad and ill make it my business to go out of my way to bad talk this shop even if they do good work fuck them customer service and trust is not on there list I was nothing but understanding with pete up to a point his lies where contradicting his lasg conversation we had and Im not going to go off mad on the person who can fuck my car up while they got it in there possession so trust me I didnt do or say anything to this dude to give me the service or run around he gave me it was piss poor service and i cant speak for the quality of work becuase they didnt fix shit read more

I can't say enough good things about APR! Our Alternator went bad on my wife's car leaving her stuck in a parking lot. After picking her up and getting a tow truck, I called APR based on a recommendation from a friend, they could not have been kinder or more accommodating! Peter told me to have the car towed in and they'd take a look as soon as they were able, more than likely the next day. Turns out, they were able to get us in that same afternoon, did a full diagnostic and had a quote back to me for the fix. August 2017: I made an appointment to have my car's oil changed, get the tires rotated and install windshield wipers (I had bought a while back). They didn't charge me to install the wipers I had bought elsewhere, which was super nice! While my car was being worked on and I was out shopping, they called me to let me know they ran an alignment check and noticed my car's alignment needed to be serviced. They also found my air filters needed to be changed. I appreciated them taking the time to look over my car (in other areas I didn't bring it in for) so I wouldn't have near future issues. Glad to get all the service done then, same day. Also, they took my Yelp discount I purchased, **although you may want to ask for any offers they have going on BEFORE buying the Yelp offer. ** The owner called a couple days later to see how my car was driving and to ask about the in store experience. TL;DR They lie about what recommended services you need and charge more than they should. I went here because it's super close to my house, an oil change was $35 and somebody on NextDoor had enthusiastically recommended them. I'm sharing my story so that hopefully fewer people will fall victim to their tactics. I come in to drop my truck off for a routine oil change and when I walk in, there's 3 dudes having what seems to be a non-business conversation. They chose to continue their conversation for about a minute longer rather than acknowledge a customer immediately but I let it slide. I deal with the paperwork for my service, hand over my keys and go on my way. The service took the expected amount of time, so I returned to pick up my truck. On my arrival, they have a laundry list of things that need to be done on my car, the most important of which is apparently my brakes. They quote me at about $520 to replace my front brake pads and rotors. I'm skeptical, especially since he's super pushy about me making an appointment for the brakes. I leave promising I'll call once I figure out my schedule. I take my truck to the mechanic I've been going to for years (only reason I didn't go there first is because we moved to Gilbert and they're in Mesa) and they tell me that my brake pads have over 50% of their life left! They don't need replacing! Even if they did, it would have cost around $400. This place insulted my intelligence and underestimated my resources. They wanted to overcharge me for services I didn't need. I can't believe more people haven't realized their level of dishonesty but I hope I can help prevent at least one person from becoming their victim. read more

I finally found decent, honest guys to have my car serviced. I got my car worked on back in December of 2018 based on a thorough assessment, including pics of deteriorated parts. I like to see why I need to replace something rather than the mechanic just telling me that I need to. The cost of an oil change is also much reasonable than say Jiffy Lube. The other day, I went to see Eric on multiple damages done to my car on the freeway when a stone ricocheted off the road/car. Both Eric and Peter went out of their way to assess the damage and recommend a trustworthy collision shop. They forewent a 1k job and told me to have everything taken care of at the other place. Sometimes there are jobs that need to be addressed in an industrial garage, is why I was referred here. I called and spoke with Eric Fraley, the owner, about a major repair I needed. He got me in that same day. My little cutie pie and I waited patiently in their comfortable waiting area since my vehicle was not done that same day. We waited for hubby to come pick us up after work. The cost of the repair was very competitive. How many locally owned auto mechanic shops offer to take you home then pick you up when it is done? Not many! This why I particularly love that they go above and beyond with their customer service! There was a woman who went in while we were waiting who obviously had some type of work done to her car with a complaint. The young man who was helping her behind the counter listened then offered a solution. Classy. The customer was happy that they addressed her predicament. The young man's thorough job is what would set them apart from other competitor in order to succeed in their business. They don't need to price gouge because people will realize this and not return. Well we trusted the friendly people of yelp to assist with finding a repair shop that didn't rip us off. I wish I would've trusted my gut.. It all started when my fiancés check engine light came on. We dropped off the truck at APR and after 3 days we were told it was a bad CAT, after 3 more days and us calling we were told it was all fixed and ready to go. We get to the shop to pick it up and the truck is not there, they outsourced the replacement of the CAT and didn't tell us.. I feel like they should communicated this but didn't.. oh well the truck is fixed RIGHT?? WRONG!! We can hear them revving the engine in the back, the truck is Misfiring like crazy. The owner comes to the front and says they don't know what's wrong with it if we can leave it a few more days they would figure it out... But he's going on vacation so he will need at least 3 days. ok.. fine we leave it..4 days pass we call and they ask to outsource checking the fuel injectors since they cant do it there and it will cost $100.. ok fine.. they come back and say its not the injectors but they want to charge us $800 to SEE if it MIGHT be the timing chain.. umm no!! Three weeks went buy the truck still isn't fixed. Not only that we get It home and the clips to the injectors are on the windshield and the injectors aren't even plugged back in.. we drove it all the way home that way.. It ended up being the O2 sensors.. that SHOULDVE been replaced with the CAT but weren't. After $400 at this place we got nothing but a non working truck for almost a month.. NEVER AGAIN! Had a really awesome experience with these guys :-) My Mini had some shoddy mechanics work on it - then through the recommendation of a dear friend I had it towed to APR and I am so glad that I did. A little while after my Mini was towed there, Eric let me know the issue - apparantly, the mechanics at the last shop had broke the nipple that holds the brake line and had try to glue it together, which didn't work. Eric and was very communicative through the whole process and actually gave me 3 options to repair the issue. One was fabricating the part, which was a great option for me as I would have to replace then entire part at $500. Mini back to normal - yay! Anyway, they were great. I took my Subaru WRX there for a rack and pinon replacement and some suspension tune ups and was trying to do it within the warranty I had purchased with the vehicle. I was apprehensive of how that was all going to work out between the shop and the warrenty company but APR took care of everything. Not only did they take outstanding care of me and my car they had me back on the road within a week. I originally took it to Ford and got tired of dealing with the rudest people in the world so I went here as I have been before for a different vehicle. The staff is consistently nice, polite, straight forward and very knowledgeable. They worked smoothly with my insurance for the replacement and kept me in the loop every step of the way.
