RUN from this company. I got the bait and switch. Rep showed up at my door and did a good job selling me on their service however I was already in a contract with another pest control company. Rep stated that Aptive would pay my cancellation fee. This was in the beginning of July. On August 1st, I emailed Debbie to let her know what the amount of the cancellation fee was. She literally replied "the check is in the mail". I should have known. One month later, no check. I talked to a manager (I think) who said that deal was between the rep and me. Aptive doesn't cover cancellation fees for other providers. He offered me Rep's phone number to resolve. Said he would also call her but I seriously doubt his motivation to resolve this. Silly me for trusting someone. I should know better by now. Doesn't change the fact that Aptive hires slimy sales people that they won't stand behind and has no interested in providing a resolution. ---- UPDATE - adding 1 star because the rep did contact me and ended up paying the cancellation fee for the pest control company I was contracted with previously. I'm terribly frustrated with this company. They need to update their technical side so that we can make changes in our account online. I have an upcoming appointment, and I have emailed them four times and called twice between Tuesday July 19 and Friday July 22 (aka during the freaking week). No response. Zip. Zilch. I don't know how the heck I'm supposed to either pause or cancel my services if I can't get in touch with anyone. Also, the cost is astronomical! The technicians are kind, but overall, this company is extremely frustrating to deal with. I should've known this company was suspicious since they were going door-to-door. We paid $150 a month for them to come out and spray for pests. After they started spraying, we developed a bad spider problem in the garage. We called them about it and they insisted there was nothing they could do, even though they're a pest control company.... The same thing happened when we had a small fly problem in the house. We were repeatedly told there were no treatments available, so we decided to cancel our service. Our pest issues had only gotten worse, so it made sense. But nope! We weren't allowed to cancel, we had to pay for an additional service to actually cancel our service. I feel compelled to write a review. I would not recommend this Company. They have great and friendly sales people and give them misinformation. I changed to Aptive because of their "Stated" Technology. They would provide an app that would allow one to see that they did the service out side via GPS tracking. Coordinate appointments and provide feed back etc. The App never had the capabilities as they stated even up to today. The initial spray would included two services 30 days apart for a "Discount" and then would pick up on a 90 day schedule. Days after the 2nd application for bugs I had more webweavers and large bugs in our home than we ever had. When I made a follow up service via the App as instructed, their support staff called and berated me for not being available on an appointment on a day that I specifically told them I would not be available. She told me I should have called to change the appointment. So much for doing everything on the app. To their credit, when I called to exit their service they let me out of the "Contract" with no further charges. In my opinion, Aptive says all the right things but they can not deliver! More bugs in our home than ever before, the app did not do what they said, and they did not use the app the way they promised. Be careful with this company, they will tell you that you can discontinue the account anytime. They will get your information and credit card; they will ask you to sign but they will not give you a copy of the agreement. Today, I called them to deactivate my account and they are charging me for early disconnection. I was told by many that this company is a scam. Technician left document expressing scope of service completes, but never sent in back yard and expected me to pay $107 for les than 30 second spray applicatiin in front yard. DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE!!! The salesman that came to our door told us these products would definitely help with mosquitos but they "just couldn't guarantee it" like they could other bugs as mosquitos could blow in from the neighbors year. This was not true in the slightest and their products didn't do anything for mosquitos. That was a lie. When I called the company later they said as much. Additionally, the products they use are extreme and are not "environmental" as the name would imply. The products have killed every crawling creature and then some. Now we have no more song birds, no more family of doves living in our trees, no more squirrels and the last straw was that a red tailed hawk landed in yard and was eating the dead and dying bugs. Sadly... the hawk hasn't been seen in over a week. We called to cancel due to the impact this was having on the other animals in the neighborhood and they issued a $180 penalty fee for cancelling their service early!!! Again... I would advise staying away from this product or the other animals and wildlife in your neighborhood will also become ill, die or move on. read more

I am disappointed with Aptives service so far. My first bill was $20 higher than promised. I called to get a refund of the overpayment And was told they couldn't do that. The did, however; change my quarterly billing to the correct amount. I have not seen less of the insects they are treating the outside property with. It's almost as if they are more in numbers now actually. I stupidly signed a contract so I can't get out of it. I don't recommend them at this time. read more

Aptive is a mixed bag. They seem competent, but the customer experience is marred by a relentless sales focus. We've had Aptive door-to-door guys solicit us over the last couple of years. Don't-take-no-for-an-answer types. This last time, the guy offered to do a treatment for a buck. When I said I wanted to check with my wife, the salesman was like, "Oh, your wife makes these decisions?" Wow. This is 2019? My wife is my partner. I accepted, but it quickly turned into signing up for a contract with a three-day refusal period. OK, whatever. They came out, and no problems at all there. Excellent (outstanding) use of technology, they have good notifications, an app, good use of text messaging, followups, etc. But we decided not to use them. We had a long relationship with our previous provider (an Austin-based company), so why punish them? So I decided to terminate Aptive. I went to my account on their website. No termination option there. Called the local number. After many rings and a couple of transitions, I reached a guy who promised to refer the case to "his" team and promised that I should receive a callback soon. WTF. It was a termination, not a service complaint. I called a few hours later and got a nice woman who confirmed we were up for termination. So, overall, an intensely sales-driven company, almost unbearably cheerful, with good technology. If I WERE in the market, I would think twice about using them, due to the relentless sales focus. read more

There was a gentleman that come to my house offering the services, and I say well lets try them and was the worst decision I ever made. They come in for like 10 minutes walk around the house pretend is been spray and live. There still a lot insects around the house that seems like they only spray water. I asked one of the guys that come in, to clean up the spider webs and he say no he is not Authorize to get inside the house. I'm totally in-happy with their services and they are only there to take your money to drive to your house and do nothing. I've been using Aptive for about a year and am happy with their services. When I moved, it was very easy to change the service over, and they even came out early for a thorough inspection of the new property, inside and out. I haven't had any issues with pests. I asked them to leave some of the spiders alone, and they did! I don't like door-to-door salespeople, but Aptive just so happened to stop by around the time we were thinking about getting pest control service. The salesman tried to push a low introductory price to get me to sign up immediately, but I wanted to do my research first. He gave me his card and told me to call if I decided to sign up. I asked about Aptive in my neighborhood Facebook group, and quite a few people used them and were pleased. The only complaints were about the solicitation. Initial review: The service pro, Wes Peters, was very friendly and helpful. He took care of our yard, sprayed the exterior and interior of our home, and treated for rats. They wouldn't let me cancel my contract because of financial reasons. So now I'm stuck with a $200 bill. Customer service is terrible, you will wait no less than 30 minutes to speak with someone, but more likely over an hour. Avoid this company at all cost. My association with them started a year back. It was very professional when it started until the day came when I want to cancel the service as we are moving. When asked if I would like to reschedule, I told them, "Will call you when things change" - Jun-5 an aptive guy shows up. I told him he is not supposed to be here as I called in to cancel my future appts. He said it is a communication issue that happens all the time and he will take care of it. Since they said it is a common thing, I started ignoring their msgs as it is their system issue - I got a reminder for a Jun-11 appt, which I saw only on Jun-12 as we are held up with moving procedures. I called and talked to Mr.logan and told him I keep getting reminders and would like to cancel. He said that is done - The next day, I get a mail of a pending charge of 96$! I called them and there was this person who kept repeating the same thing that I was sent a msg and I should have called! It is like I have to pay 96$ to pay for this IT issues! - To top this of, I checked my msgs and it says the person came by but my gates were locked! How can that be when I have left my gates with no locks for the last 3 weeks to clear up things for selling? One, once you decide to leave, they are trying to rip you off! Just had an experience with these guys. Sales rep came to my door and I will give it to him, he was confident and had a nice pitch. As we were speaking, I told him I am not making any decisions right now and I asked for a business card. He told me "We do have business cards, but I am not giving you one and this offer leaves when I leave" WTF? And I am supposed to trust your company? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. We had a lot of fire ants and a lot of little ants outside. We decided to give Aptive a try. After several attempts to get rid of the tiny ants outside, I called them and they were quick to respond and sent Marcos Amaya, a very courteous and professional young man to our residence and he was sensitive to our needs. Had them for over 3 years. No issue with the performance. Had to cancel today because found out they messed up my account from day 1. Took my card information illegally over the phone (which I didn't know was not company policy until two months later). They messed up on my billing payments and tried to get me to pay the difference. Was supposedly set up monthly payment from beginning of contract but they said it was set up wrong from beginning but continually took out the agreed upon monthly payment. Though they said I wasn't on a month plan I got charged. Information on account was cleared multiple times without discretion. Even while trying to get things situated was told it was company's doing on issues but still tried to get me to pay for their mistakes. Asked them to review recorded call where illegal info was taken and was told they don't have that authority. Horrible customer service! Have emailed multiple times trying to contact someone about a visit we were charged for that no one showed up to do. We were home all day that day and no one came to our door and none of the security systems we have picked up anyone around our house. After multiple attempts to get someone else out from their company to do their job we had to end up doing a charge back of the fee and requesting our contract to be canceled for breach of contract. Did we get contacted after the charge back? Nope! Guess they don't care. Now I'm getting texts and calls again that they will be performing another 'service' at our house even though I contacted them within the last day to cancel our appointment. The service starts off great the first couple of times but then turns to crap. Customer Service is none existent and ghosts you or gives you false promises.
