Aptive has been nothing but a nightmare since the get-go! I signed up for Aptive in the beginning of May because my neighbors use them and so far liked them. They were having a special on the first two treatments for $128 and giving $30 back for referrals. Well I got my first bill and it was the total amount not including the referral discount, and I paid it immediately. I called them the next day realizing that it didn't have the referral discount in it and they told me they would just refund me the $30. Well a couple weeks went by, I didn't have a credit but I got an email saying that I owed $96. So I called back, btw it's almost impossible to get a hold of anybody other than new service customer service agents. It took over a week to get a hold of anybody that could fix the situation, turns out they said that they refunded me the full $128 and just re-billed me the $96, but I did not have a credit for $128 in my account. It took them another week to figure out that the refund of $128 still said pending on their end and they had to push through, I made it clear that I would not be paying the $96 until I got the $128 back. The following week I saw the credit of $128 so I paid the $96. Yes, it took them a month to fix this, and then tried to make me pay $3 saying that I was 30 days past due which clearly is not true. After that was fixed the technician came out to do his second treatment in the first 30 days to stop the hatching cycle, and a couple days after he left I get another bill for $130! And this is what I'm dealing with now, I called the day I received the billing email, and, as usual, I got a new service agent, he said he would pass this info to his manager and have her call me back... Still NO CALL! there's no way that I am going to pay for two quarterly treatments in less than two months! The first two treatments were supposed to be rolled in at the price of $128. It's now been exactly two weeks since I called about this new incorrect billing, and the only people I can get a hold of are new service customer service agents, that say all they can do is take a message and that somebody will call me back, but nobody has called me back! Of course I will not be paying this horrible company another dime and I'm canceling my service. Oh, I forgot to mention that second treatment I got, I told the service technician that I had seen a mouse and showed him where I saw the mouse and he sprayed the hole with bug spray! And told me if I see any more activity to give them a call and he'll come out again!? What the heck!? I was standing right next to him and he sprayed my foot! Not to mention, I have no clue what he sprayed, but since he came out I have seen more spider and pincher bug activity in my house and I ever have since the day I moved in almost a year ago! read more

I was first greeted by a friendly salesman that was in the neighborhood assisting other customers. I don't remember the salesman's name but he was incredibly helpful, friendly, agreeable, and not pushy at all. I was very impressed and felt confident making a decision because he explained everything thoroughly and made me feel comfortable with the process. He even identified a bug I'd been having trouble with and let me know they could treat it without wanting to "investigate" the issue. (I had previously called another pest control who told me they would charge me to assess the issue and the charge me for the initial treatment) He even was able to fit me in for a service call at the end of the same day. A service tech by the name of Damian came out to service our home and came in and explained the process and what would be used on our home. He made me feel comfortable with the time that would be taken and what products would be used throughout our home. Damian was friendly, helpful and took the time to address all issues and even make sure he referenced the earlier issue that I had addressed with the problem bugs I identified with the sales rep. He took his time ensuring to treat each area and even let me know what to expect on future visits and how future emails, charges would happen. I'm highly impressed with both Damian and the sales rep on how through their customer service process is. They set expectations and fully delivered on them. I would highly recommend both of them and Aptive Environmental. And honestly I hope we get Damian as our service technician each time. He was an absolute treat to work with! read more

My technician, Aaron, was prompt, arriving a few minutes before the scheduled appointment. Although he had service instructions I left with his headquarters, he asked me to explain the issues I was having with pests. He made suggestions as to the best approach to prevent future problems, and then explained in detail how he would service my home and the chemicals he would use inside and out. He knew I had children and pets inside the home, so he was careful in treating areas where they are most likely to spend the most time in. After he completed his service, he explained what he did, and cautioned me to allow the treatment he used to dry before allowing children & pets to access the areas treated, and assured me that the chemicals used were 100% safe for them. He then gave me some tips on what certain pests are drawn to in my garage as well as inside my home and made suggestions on how to prevent pests from returning before the next treatment. My service tech Aaron, was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. He didn't rush through the service and he made sure I had answers to all of my questions before he left, then encouraged me to reach out to his headquarters if I had other questions I'd forgotten to ask about. He was a great technician, and if I was willing to renew my contract I would insist that Aaron complete all of my services throughout the year. This is Mr. RMC and glad to finally see the contract for the first time since doing business with your company and probably nothing would have gone unnoticed but as I was paying the credit card that you bill me on and just happened to look on the statement and that's when I noticed I was billed for $96.34 which is not what I agreed to. So Mike Eddington who came to my house to see if I was looking for new service back in Aug. I specifically told Mike that I was only doing this for $79.00 per month not the $89.00. Mike went back to the office to draw up the contract and signed my name on this contract as that is not my signature on this contract. As this is first time for me to see the contract. Had Mike given me a copy of the contract I would have been contacting you a long time ago. One other thing is after I did this, there were several social media posts especially in my neighborhood which is part of Carriage Hills and the word was your company are crooks and that Mike Eddington was not to be trusted so it looks as though they are very right! I believe at this juncture with your crappy reputation of doing shady business you should void this contract immediately, unless you desire more negative social media about how bad you treat customers and are over charging for your service. My name is Daren S. I'm writing this review for the great pest control service I received on October 9, 2018 from Aptive Service Pro Gabriel Soto. The window for my quarterly service was 12-6 pm. He arrived at about 1pm and was dressed to impress with his AptiveEnvironmental uniform on and an extension tool in his hands to knock down those pestly nests. I had special instructions and requests that were relayed to your office last Friday. Gabriel went above and beyond expectations by removing all mud dauber, spider, and ant nests around the outside home perimeter. Wow, he also treated my lovely lawn. I'm deeply allergic to wasp/bee stings, so a thorough job of pest treatment was needed. Gabriel treated all areas inside and outside of my new home. He did a great job while I was busy cooking brunch for Brenda and me. He continued to work very hard in preventing those lovely pests from entering our living quarters in a little less than one hour. Thanks for noting in the tech's notes "not to water the lawn to the point of runoff". That was a point well taken. To a job well done, Gabriel, and I hope your company takes care of you for a job well done in taking care of me and my family. Ernie our service tech was very polite and efficient. (The technician that did our service a month ago was thorough and informative, but I don't remember his name.) I wish that I could say the say the same for the scheduler/account manager. We were sent an email on Friday afternoon saying that a technician would be here on Monday (today). No time "window" was given nor any info about the scope of the service to be provided. The office was closed when we tried to contact the company. I was about to call the company today (opens at 9 am) when the technician arrived at my front door. I had questions about our follow up service, but he did not have the information we needed. We could not get anyone to answer the customer service line for existing clients. My husband left a voice mail with my phone number, but he received a phone call instead of me. He was in a meeting at work so he couldn't pick up. He tried to call back, but still couldn't speak to anyone. It seems as if they are pushing hard for new business but aren't capable of or are unwilling to provide adequate customer service to existing clients. We made the switch from ABC, and, most likely, will return to ABC when our contract is up unless customer service makes a whole bunch of improvement. Nancy R. read more

We used another company that I was happy with but after a sales person stopped by (he was friendly and not pushy) we decided to switch based on the fact that it was cheaper (and other company didn't price match). Worse case scenario, we go back to our original company if we're unhappy with this one. So far...so good. We received a free treatment a month prior and though we've seen a few bugs indoors....they're either dead or dying. Our "official quarterly service" started this month and our tech was Ranfel T. He was very friendly yet professional. He listened to our concerns about the type of pests we encounter and seemed to know exactly what needed to be done. He did a very thorough job in the garage, the eaves, patio, entry....he covered it all. The office sends a text reminder the day before service. Service so far has been great!! Friendly and helpful office staff and techs. Now the only issue would be the potency of the products used to keep the creepy crawlers out so I can live stress-free indoors. But the fact that we haven't had any issues since last months application....I think our house is secure from those uninvited guests that try to sneak in. I'll update if my opinion of the business changes but hopefully it won't. read more

As a new client with Aptive, I am impressed with their exceptional service from start to finish. My account representative, Marshall has been extremely polite and accommodating throughout the process while answering all of my questions regarding language in the service agreement, scheduling, the chemical makeup of the products used, and background information about the company. Sam is our technician and is an absolute professional. While treating the perimeter of our property and home, he explained what he was doing, why he was doing it, and which pests (ants, bugs, spiders, etc.) were present. Sam clearly takes pride in his work and had a smile on his face the entire time he took care of our home in 100-degree heat. He was mindful of my pets and secured all entrance/exit gates while educating me on the science behind Aptive's products, allowing for pest control and remaining safe for pets. Aptive's communication has been solid, they've been responsive and transparent to any questions or concerns I've had and I am confident in their model. It is clear that Aptive takes service to heart as evidenced by Marshall and Sam's professionalism. read more

Active has always sent very qualified techs to address our bug problems and their service has always been very good. However, the young man they sent this last time raised the bar to a level that others will be hard-pressed to reach. Tevin took great care in applying the product and making sure he covered every nook and cranny he came across. He spent a great deal of time inside and outside addressing the wasp nests, spider webs, treating the weep holes, etc. He easily spent at least twice as long as the typical tech and, based on my observations of his work ethic, I can understand why. Being curious I told him I had never seen anyone applying the product with as much care and he informed me his work ethic came from his father who taught him "a job worth doing is worth doing well". I could go on and on but suffice it to say that I was very pleased with the service level provided by Tevin and Aptive's ability to hire skilled and caring technicians. I've been with Active for 3 years and, although I've been approached by other service companies promising better pricing and service, I am firmly sold on Aptive. I highly recommend them. read more

I just signed up with this company a week ago. The sales rep was pretty good because I am very hard to convince after someone has interrupted my day with solicitation. I scheduled the first visit the following day but realized that the time conflicted with another appointment, so I called them to reschedule. I was only able to leave voicemail and I followed up with two additional phone calls, then an email. Well the tech came to my house anyway. My husband happened to stop home and the tech came to the door. He told the tech that I had rescheduled. Since he was home he let them complete the service outside. I had requested inside and outside service, however they told my husband that I had only requested the kitchen, which is a lie. Since then I followed up with a text since they wanted to know how I felt about the service....well I'm waiting...No response either way...I should have followed my first mind and not answered the door. I must give them a thumbs down. If I am paying for a service, I expect quality customer service to go along with it. read more

Mr. Irving Ramirez & a team of 3 others came to our house to provide a reservice because we are experiencing a severe ant problem in and outside of the house, and we're trying to make sure I fully eradicated a rat family in the garage. This was the first time Mr. Ramirez has been to the house so I explained the problems to him and showed him some of the specimens I had collected. I have received all sorts of non-specific recommendations and advice from other companies in the past, but Mr. Ramirez immediately identified the ant (which no one could do before) and provided a wealth of in-depth information about Acrobat Ants. I researched them later and found that Mr. Ramirez was spot-on. His information about rats was accurate also. Him and his team went right to work and did a thorough job. Hopefully they can stamp out my problem, but they gave me confidence. I've had bad experiences with exterminating companies in the past. Aptive Environmental appears to be the exception and I look forward to working with them. Thank you Mr. Ramirez and crew. read more

I had my first bug service today with AJ and was impressed by how organized the service was and what a great job he did. First of all, I have to say that I dropped my current bug service when their sales guy (Mike E) came to my door and did a cold call. I was hesitant about dropping my current service, but, he beat the price and threw in a few more incentives for me to switch. He was definitely a sales guy, but not pushy --- just convincing which I liked. Now, back to AJ -- he was on time (actually, I thought my appt was for the next day, but then my friend reminded me that it really was on the right day!), explained what he was going to do and got at it pretty quick. A second guy came by to check on him, bring him water and make sure I was happy with what was going on. I have to say, this company does promote working in "teams" which is also a nice thing. I'm going to hold off on a 5 star rating until I get a better feel for the company, but so far, so good. My first encounters have been good and am hoping it stays that way! read more

While we're Texas natives, we hadn't lived here in over a decade. But once we moved back we quickly became reacquainted with all the little types of bugs that can live in and around your home (BTW San Francisco doesn't have bugs, if you can afford to live there LOL) Anyways, the Aptive folks stopped by our house this weekend, and seemed very friendly and were able to get us a yearly contract that cost just about the same as what we spent for ONE treatment with another company. So it didn't take us long to sign up. Our service technician Brady Hill stopped by today and was super helpful in answering all of our questions, giving us tips on how to prevent sugar ants, etc and even took out some wasp nests that were accumulating around the house, as well as spider webs. He sprayed both inside and out and was done in maybe 30 minutes. Super nice, friendly and helpful guy. I'll be updating the review after a month or so to see how the well the treatment we received worked, but all in all, so far a good experience. read more

Today, Richard & Joey visited my home here in Buda and immediately got straight to the point. They checked old traps I had set up for numerous types of bugs and educated me on what they saw and how they'll eliminate the issue. I felt extremely comfortable with them and knew they would take care of my issue. Not only only would I recommend Aptive (and I haven't even given enough time to see the results of the bug elimination) but more importantly, I would recommend Richard & Joey as the specialists who control your bug infestation. They were thorough and quick. I am glad I went with them than any of the other companies that have spoken to me. To everyone else complaining about sales people visiting their front door, don't review unless you were interested in their service. Soliciting is how you keep a business alive no a days. I've had 3 companies knock on my door and this was the first one I paid to take care of my issue - and it takes a tsunami to get me to sign of for any sort of contract presently. read more
