I will say warning to be careful if ur on a quarterly service they will try to book u sooner then ur 3 months I've caught them many many times and have to call to correct it. At that point I was told the email which I saved was a mistake and they were not coming until the 23rd. Hi Aptive, Your rep came on Saturday, February 22nd, on his hoverboard. He was solicitng. On his way out, he hit the corner of the exterior of the house and took a chunk out of it. I have this on video and have posted it on Neighbor, that's how we were able to identify your company. The video clearly shows him causing the damage. I have reached out to you on multiple occasions via phone and email. I only get replies that this has been escalated. I have requested for a call back and you have not reached out to me. I have provided you with photos and video of the incident. You need to be responsible and accountable for the damage your representative caused. This is unacceptable. I live in a gated community with several No Solicitation signs at each gate. This morning as I was leaving, I saw a car pull up and drop a young man off at the stop sign. He got out of the car, walked down to the end of the street and started knocking on a door. I stopped and asked him if he lived here. He said no. No one answered the door and he went to the next house. I told him that soliciting was not allowed here. He told me that the company had several customers here and that meant that he could come in and knock on doors. I again told him he couldn't. He was very argumentative. He said he was licensed for pest control and had attended classes on how to handle these types of situations and he wasn't violating any laws. No Soliciting means just that No Soliciting. read more

I had my house serviced for 6 months straight. My lease was up in July so we cancelled in June. They told us that if went send our lease agreement proving it was an apartment then we will not be charged $199 for cancellation. then proceeded to send the lease for the new apartment. 2 weeks later was charged $199 for the cancellation. We then reached out to receive our refund because they were never supposed to take the $199. They then said in order to receive refund I would have to reinstate service at my 1 bedroom apartment that doesn't need pest control And my apartment won't let them in! This is after they received my lease agreement per what we discussed before. Now they refuse to reissue my refund unless I reinstate service which is $89.99 a month for a 1 BEDROOM APARTMENT! These people are liars, manipulators, and thieves. If you do need pest control PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not go with Aptive Environmental!!!! i do not recommend. I was so concerned with the Aptive "professional" came to my door without identification as I was not expecting him. Poor guy....I thought, perhaps he never learned how to read. I have a large blatant NO SOLICITING sign at my door. He assured me that he saw it but that people still get pests with those signs. I wish I could give 0 stars. When we found out our new home had an active rodent infestation in the attic, we wanted a company that had good communication, was reliable, and could take the steps to eradicate the rodent infestation. THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY TO HIRE. I spoke with the customer service representative and told him that we had an active rodent infestation in the attic, and we wanted them to remove the rodents and rodent proof the house to eliminate all the entry points. He stated that the technician could do this and scheduled an appointment for the afternoon the next day. The technician met with the property manager and said the problem wasn't too bad and is done with the service in about an hour. When I read the inspection report, it stated that the technician sprayed around the house and the chemicals used were to target insects. I was so confused and called my property manager to have them come back out to address the rodent infestation. The property manager called me back and told me they will come back out the following day to do the rodent service and proofing. The next day the technician comes to the house, but can't perform the rodent service or rodent proofing because he didn't bring a ladder. This was the final straw. I immediately called customer service to cancel the service agreement because this company was unreliable, unprepared, and unprofessional. I will never work with this company ever again. I will be following up on this review if I'm not fully refunded. Because I cancelled the service agreement by the 72 hour deadline, I should receive a full refund. We'll see though. read more

However, I find it inexcusable for door-to-door salespeople to come to a home after 8 pm when call centers aren't allowed to call after 8 pm. Dishonest!! I have used Aptive Pest Control for many years but cancelled them today!! For some unknown reason I have been infested with bed bugs (YUCK!!!) Aptive has serviced my home 3 times so far for the same problem - left work early to meet them. Called this morning because the nasty bugs are still here and was told that they don't treat bed bugs!!! Called early this morning because of sudden appearance of ants in bedroom and walk-in closet (odd place, I know). Was told someone would be out today and received text to confirm. Received a 2nd text 2 hours later that no one would be available for 3 more days. I called the number and was transferred 3 times to two different call centers (sounded overseas as I had to correct some poor soul on how to correctly pronounce "circumstances") Told them to cancel any contract we might have agreed to over the phone and absolutely will dispute any unauthorized charges that appear on our credit card (they prefer to get your checking account info and at least we didn't fall for THAT. Two stars because they started as a pretty good company. Then about late into the second year o was with them the service started to get more automated and the automatic debit charges started going up without any explanation. I started with $30 for six months introductory but then late in the second year it went up to $65 charge. Then in the third and 4th year it went to $70 then to 89 but the final straw was a $106 charge and they act like they didn't have a clue. My advice is if you are using this service, get out now because they will do the same to you. The service got worse and the fees just kept going up. read more

Hired them specifically for scorpions and the problem never went away after any of their treatments, actually got worse! All they kept saying is we can do a reapply,... lol, why in the world would I let you guys keep trying when all you're doing is extending my service for a product that doesn't work for what I asked it for. Proceed with caution!!! Product sucks. One more thing. We have an older dog, 15y old, they told us that it wouldn't after our dog after the product dries. We waited half a day before letting him out where it was applied... for 3 days my dog had stomach issues (#2 frequently)... all they kept saying is they never had an issue. This company told me I would be charged every few months, quarterly, but charged me 2 times within a month. I called to ask why and it's because they came to my house. Besides the fact they told me they were coming within 5 min of coming, like geez can I know the night before atleast so I can be home! I didn't ask for it either. They told me they don't spray monthly, only quarterly because people don't need it that often. So why would they waste my money, charge me in October, than come back within 30 days AND charge me again?! MY DOG IS IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM BECAUSE OF THIS COMPANY. Shortly after we had pest control come by to spray our house and refill our rat traps with POISON , the pest control guy leaves. I go in the backyard to find 1 out of 3 lids of the rat trap was off, DOG EATING THE FRESHLY PLACED RAT POISON. My dog is still in the animal hospital, we were told he has to stay overnight. Took us 30 FUCKING MINUTES and 4 people calling APTIVE to get what type of actual rat poison was put in the rat traps. These people do not care, the call center, the agents putting down your rat traps, nobody. Not to mention that ONE RAT TRAP THAT WAS OPEN WAS IN OUR DOG RUN OF ALL PLACES. My family is pissed and so am I. If my dog dies it's a whole other story for you guys. Count your fucking days Aptive company I swear to god. You will be getting a nasty email and phone call EVERYDAY until you guys do something correctly. Paying for my dogs vet bill is NOT ENOUGH AND WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH. This company is the SCUM of the earth and so is everyone who works for it. We got in touch with the agent that placed down our rat traps and shortly while my dog was in the hospital (which he still is 2nd day now) agent tried to say he did lock it... clearly not why is 1/3 unlocked, that one so happens to be in the dog run of all places, agent came back to ACTUALLY LOCK the rat trap. Chunky guy from Aptive in a light blue shirt doing illegal door-to-door soliciting in Anthem today, with a b.s. story about how "their trucks were in the neighborhood." The sign next to the community gate says "no soliciting" -- that means no soliciting. Not "soliciting is OK as long as you give a b.s. story about being in the neighborhood." Folks, you don't need these highly toxic and expensive bug spray services. They are a scam. Pesticides sprayed indoors have been linked to neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. They are also highly toxic to pets. The far more affordable and effective solution is to put on some gloves and put out bait stations, available at all the home improvement stores. Put them in all the corners of your garage, under the panels for your irrigation valves, and wherever you see bug activity. Replace them every couple of months, and you're good to go. If you have a lot of bug activity, try boric acid as well -- it's very cheap, effective, and non-toxic to humans and pets. It also helps to use an expanding foam to seal any gaps along your foundation (where the exterior wall meets the foundation). Hire a handyman if you don't want to do it yourself. Make sure all toilets are flushed periodically during the summer months, as the roaches do come up through the pipes if your toilet is shut off and the water evaporates. If soliciting is not allowed in your neighborhood, I recommend contacting law enforcement if they come to your door or you see them going door to door in your neighborhood. read more

Signing up with Aptive was the biggest mistake I've ever made. Before they came to my house I've only had a minor ant problem and spraying Raid always worked. But they said it is not safe for my baby and my pets. So I signed with them... It's been a couple of months since Aptive treated my house and it's a total nightmare. I have Ants everywhere, in my bathtub, in my shower, in my toilet, all floors are covered in them... Dead and alive. Even spraying Raid doesn't work anymore. To make the matter worse, when I called to cancel my services they billed me $180 for cancelation. They turned my life in a nightmare and I am the one who has to pay!!!!!! My advice - do not ever sign up with these guys, because you will have a hard time getting rid off not just ants but Aptive too. read more

This review is specifically for scheduling of appointments. I was an aptive customer for just under 4 years--and finally had enough of the scheduling mixups. About 8-10 quarterly sprays ago, I had a tech scheduled during the week, and I was at work. He decided to not spray the backyard due to my dog coming in and out of her dog door. I understood this so specially called Aptive to notate on my account "Saturday only" so I would be home and able to keep my dog inside. Each spray since, the account notes have not been followed, I am notified of the upcoming spray by the tech who is intending to spray that day and it has always been a weekday. No email confirm of upcoming spray, text message or automated call. Just the tech calling 20 min before arrival. The only reason I held off cancelling for so long was because the sprays kept away bugs and techs were always nice. I intend to switch to a company that has better communication and follows the account notes. read more

I've used pest control before but I've never actually had them be so thorough and so courteous. They take their time to explain everything thoroughly and answer all your questions. They come out quarterly and spray your yard, the outside of your house and surrounding area but the great part about it, they'll do the inside as well if requested. Ben Morales was my technician today and I really appreciate his education on all the pest questions I had today. Did you know there is plant lice??? Omg... ewwww is all I can say but he did a great job explaining it all to me. I highly recommend this place for all your "pesty" needs. read more

Update: Aptive has since come out twice to spray, and the situation is improving. At least I haven't seen any inside for about a week. The ones I see outside are dead or dying. I had these guys start taking care of my pest prevention care last year. Since the beginning I started noticing more roaches outside than before ( whatever right? It's Vegas and roaches are a thing) but I draw the line when they come inside. I found one alive upstairs and a couple dead downstairs recently. My house isn't dirty and I've never had roaches inside before. Whatever they're doing isn't working. I might have to go back to the previous pest control company that actually sprays in the walls. The worst service I've ever received! They showed up to my house daily and ever time I told them I wasn't ready to have the service preformed and to have someone call me to schedule it. They never called me. Anytime I called they had me on hold for at least 20 min. They ended up preforming the service anyway and charged my card! I would not recommend! Poor service! read more

Employee did not knock upon arrival, simply left glue traps on the porch and began lazily spraying our bushes, completely missed the house foundation. He was in and out within 10 minutes while I watched from the windows. Our appointment was SUPPOSED to be someone coming inside the home and investigating the kitchen, somewhere between 1-5pm. He arrived at 10:15am and left at 10:25am. He called and left a message at 10:13 asking for the neighborhood gate code, but must've followed someone else in after they opened the gate. Awful service and lazy workmanship. Their salesmen visit door-to-door in neighborhoods that have clear NO SOLICITING signs posted outside the gate. Salesman are extremely pushy, rude and aren't wearing masks. read more

This business engages in some unethical practices with regard to selling their service packages. I was never informed at the time of my signing up for the agreement that there would be a $130 cancellation fee (I never agree to binding contracts with cancellation fees), and I was charged $99 for a service that I REPEATEDLY tried to cancel when I told them I would be moving across the country shortly and the house was no longer mine. I recommend that Aptive be up front about their binding agreements rather than engage in predatory business practices. read more

Don't expect very much from Aptive service, managers, or the corporate office.  We did not receive our quarterly service that we were charged for.  We requested a call from management and never received a response other than them declining a reservice or a refund.  We contacted corporate and never received a response.  We co tacted the BBB and did receive a response.  They declined a refund and a re service with no explanation.  Very poor service. The service they perform is alway outstanding, but this time in particular i requested indoor service as the spiders were finding there way in to my home. i emailed them the day before service and was happy they could accommodate on short notice. The absolute worst customer service I have ever had related to my home. The only appointment they made timely were the first two. I then moved and they cannot figure out how to schedule an appointment, arrive timely or provide thorough service. I schedule a half day off today to accommodate THEIR schedule and they never showed. I confirmed an AM appointment when I acknowledged and they scheduled it for end of day. DO NOT spend your money with this company. There are far more customer service oriented companies that would appreciate your business. I cancelled my service with only one service left and they took the discount back per the service agreement. Zero consideration for the fact that I have lost work hours due to their inability to schedule an appointment. Be careful. When you sign up, they say it's a quarterly service with re sprays in-between when needed. If you don't watch the schedule they will try to schedule service every 2 months. This started recently, they used to come out every 3 months. I don't appreciate being suckered out of an extra $120. When I called, she said the service is every 60-90 days and the computer decides when to schedule. So I'm guessing when their profit is hurting the computer decides to send someone out? I've yelled at them before for scheduling me too soon. I asked for a copy of the contract I signed that says 60-90 days, because I've been with aptive for years (over 6 years) and when I signed up they said quarterly service. (From what i understand they have different service schedules now, but i know what i signed up for, and it isn't a $120 plus every 2 months).When I called before they said they made a mistake and changed my appointment ahead another month (to make 3 months). This last time I didn't even receive a service reminder. I just had the technician text me a half hour before telling me he was on his way. I work until 2 am, so of course I didn't get the message until he is ringing my doorbell. read more

I have read the reviews so far, and my experience was pretty good. The salesman was knocking and talking, and I am not a fan of door-to-door salespeople. I agreed to their service. 1) they were up front about the cost. The kid did not lie about the one year contract. He stated it will be $120.00 every three months to spray the entire house inside and out. 2) they were very upfornt about the chemicals used. The technician had me put our animals up for two hours while everything dried. He was very up front about the dangers. I took him seriously. 3) I asked what would happen if i decided to break the contract. He stated that he cut me a deal on the first visit. I paid $40.00 for a heck of a lot. He said that if I decided to break the contract, and he showed me the fine print, I would have to pay an extra $200 for what the service normally costs for a one time deal for the entire property and house. They did not hide any of this. Naybe it was just my salesperson and not the other reviewers. Mine was honest. 4) They sprayed the perimeter of my property. They sprayed the outside of the foundation around the fences, garage, cleaned out all of the cobwebs, then he came in the house and sprayed every baseboard, nook and cranny, including the garage. all in all he was there for about two hours. No bugs, no ants this year, no cockroaches, scorpions or spiders. My pets didn't get sick or die. Finally, I have never had to have pest control services before, living in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, there is no real need for it. I am saisfied with the service. I do not believe there is anything they could do short of dropping off a new car in the driveway that would earn a 5 star rating because it's a Pest control service. They did their job, charged me what they said they would and what I agreed to and scheduled an appiontment for the next visit in three months, which is going to be $120 for the entire property and house again. I happened to be home for that treatment & I was amazed by the tech's vast knowledge of the insects in the Henderson area & the product he was using to treat my home. I scheduled a re-service due to some creepy "friends" and for one, my service was scheduled quick and easy and Mario my technician was courteous and texted me before he arrived and listened to my areas of concern.
