No longer call to schedule. The technicians reach out same day. I like to do my own schedule, not Aptive.

We signed up for this service via a salesperson that came to our home. The monthly price seemed reasonable so we signed up. There were numerous inconsistencies with what the salesperson informed us vs. what we were told over the phone...namely more money, contracts, and service gaps. The dates and times they can perform service seems to accommodate their schedules and not ours. We've had to make several calls to this company since we never see them come around to spray. Our most recent call to this company was because they billed us for a service and never came out. Who does that? Be weary, as you'll likely have to stay on top of these folks to ensure that they actually do the work that they are billing you for. I'm looking to get out of this contract and go without someone that actually appreciates the work and provides good quality service. read more

The techs themselves have always been nice, however this company does not care about helping their customers. I had no problems when I only needed them for preventative and would see a bug here and there (~10 months). However once I actually had a problem with bugs inside and outside my house, it took them a week to send someone out. In that time, the issue got 5x worse. When they did send someone, I had to tell them where to spray and what to do because there was no communication from the office. No one cared to figure out what the bug was or how to stop it (another company did). I have been dealing with this problem for over a month now and they still do not care to help stop it. I found the source, I have been spraying off-the-shelf everyday to try to curb it, and Aptive has done nothing to help. I already enlisted a second company and they did more in 1 day than Aptive did in 4 weeks. Bottom line: if you only care about preventative, they're fine. If you actually want a company who can solve a problem once it arises, don't choose Aptive. Also - the office is horrible to deal with. They don't tell the techs what they are coming out for so they are unprepared. They are rude and don't care to help either. Shame on you Aptive this is not a review that I wanted to write but you leave me no recourse. I had my property serviced on 3/15/21, the actual Tech that came out to perform the service went above and beyond to be certain he caught all of the potential areas that I have had issues with. In fact I have never had a Tech come out that wasn't personable, efficient, and willing to do all that they could to resolve whatever pest control issues I have had. So what I'm saying is the actual Extermination Service is not the challenge it is the Billing/Customer Service side of the business that is. This area is a nightmare and I fear may be broken beyond repair. All these changes began last year when they started assigning computer generated service dates which then became impossible to reschedule so it worked their system not for you the customer. The phone lines to reschedule are always busy and it is not unlikely to sit on hold for over 30 minutes. If you choose the call back option it could be several days. I have been unemployed since March of 2020 as have millions of others. The flat-line response I got was that was of no concern to them and basically pressured me into having the service on 3/15 or I was told they would close out my account and have to start as "new" which equals additional fees etc. I was told though I could split the payment into 3 monthly payments at which point I agreed to move forward. Once the service was done, later that day an email with the bill arrived. I went to the website to pay and the three payment option was not there. So that forced me to have to call and I waited, and waited, and waited. Twenty minutes later I finally I spoke with the Billing Dept. I told them that I needed to split this bill into 3 monthly payments as opposed to "in full" gave them my updated Credit Card info and was assured that they would be billing me monthly. Then the receipt came in and they had run my card for the FULL amount not the 1/3rd I had agreed to. I called back, waited again to finally tell them the issue. Two Customer Service Reps later they said they had reversed the charge so I was only paying the agreed upon 1/3 monthly billing and a receipt showing that was emailed. But then on 3/25 (ten days later) I was billed the next third not the month later (4/15) as was the agreement. So again I called, sat on hold again, and when I finally got a person on the line she told me the Billing System was down and there was nothing she could do. I asked if she could please have some one call me back the next business day to which she said she would leave a note. As I write this I still do not have resolution and honestly with so many other options out there I can't see why anyone would want to utilize this service. I feel terrible for the Techs as they go above and beyond but their Support Staff is undermining all of their hard work. read more

Avoid at all costs! I told them when I started a year ago that I needed appointments on Saturdays, and EVERY time, they schedule me on Tuesdays with a 24 hour notice, and I have to call to reschedule. This has been going on for a year! They also just moved a Saturday appointment to the following week without letting me know, and I am out $55 for boarding my dogs unnecessarily. My vet told me to wait at least 4 hours after the fumigation before I bring my dogs back. Melinda gave me a $20, but I am still out $35. They make you sign a 2 year contract, and trust me, I won't be renewing! read more

A salesman knocked on our door today after we didn't answer the door bell. Knocked very hard and persistently. My wife - who has Hashimoto's disease, an auto immune condition - tried talking through the door without opening it. That didn't work and she walked away. The guy kept pounding on our front door so I opened it to stop him, said no thanks but he would not stop pitching me. He had NO MASK and would not leave. It would be bad enough in normal conditions never mind in July 2020. We will be filing a report about this experience. Just disgraceful to force someone to open their door and not have the slightest concern about potentially infecting a vulnerable person. read more

I do not appreciate the high pressure sales tactics that these guys are using! Also its rude to ride your segway in potential clients front yards. Stating that we can get a free spray but only if we sign a contract lol..you get unlimited free sprays with every company ive heard of when you sign up with them so nothing special. The sales tactics they are using such as we "just signed up your neighbor", "we have our truck around the corner", "if you sign a contract now, you can get a free spray", reminds me of the meat company that drives around scamming people into buying old/nasty meat. Stay away from these people. I will use a more reputable company. read more

So I get a knock on my door at almost 9:00pm from Davis Dixon from Aptive, after about 40 minutes of him trying to sell his services I agree to a free spray only to find out that he's lied about 90% of his shpill. I addressed my concerns of health issues/risks as my mother is a lung recipient and my son has asthma he assured me it would be totally safe and safe for my dog as well. Truth be told HE LIED!!! He also said he couldn't open the paper I was asked to sign it would be sent to me via email, I accidentally canceled his box and read I could cancel in WRITING WITHIN 30DAYS & NO CONTRACT BUT THAT TOO WAS A LIE!!! Thank You SO MUCH APTIVE FOR THINKING ABOUT THE SAFETY, HEALTH & WELLBEING OF MY FAMILY!!! The only reason y'all got 1 Star is because yelp doesn't have NEGATIVE STARS!!!! I am sad to post this review as up until recently we had a great experience with this company. My homes last service was January 7th 2020. I paid my invoice the same day. They came back a week or two later to redo certain areas free of charge. That is the last time I have had them at my home. However that was not the last time I was billed. I was charged for a service in March at my normal rate of 109 and then charged again in May and July 239.00 each time. All of this without ever having anyone at my home or a BILL. Had I received a bill in March, I would have called then. Same goes for May. That being said, I did receive a text message on July 20th saying I owed 587.00 THE SAME DAY it was then sent to a collections agency. When I first saw the text, I thought it must have been a technical error because my account online said 0 balance. But I still called twice (on hold for minimum 15 minutes) but no-one answered. Today 07/31/2020 I received the collection bill and immediately called the company again. I have called today 5 times from different numbers and waited on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes. The only time I got through to a live person, I had waited on hold 15 minutes to have Annie pick up, say she couldn't hear me, say she would call me right back and hang up. She never called back. I called two more times since then and left a voicemail. I have filed with the BBB and will continue to call until I can get ahold of someone. If anyone has an email for this company, please pass it on to me. I am beyond frustrated. read more

I've been using Aptive since I moved to Vegas about 6 years ago. They are great! When I moved here there were large cockroaches, small to huge spiders, & other unidentified insects. Aptive has eliminated all these! And, as I always have dogs, I don't need to worry as their products are pet-safe. Also, as a paranoid bug-freak, I've had lots of questions. They always answer them with professional knowledge. If you see any "critters" in between scheduled visits, they come out for free (I only had to do this once, soon after I moved here). I have had Aptive for a year and a half. I switched from a competitor because there was a communication problem. Aptive swore to me before I signed up that we wouldn't have that problem. Guess what? Without any other communication, I received a text that I was scheduled for quarterly service THE NEXT DAY with no time specified. I immediately texted back only to find that they do not monitor their texts, it's automated. I tried calling their telephone - several times - and gave up after being on hold for over 20 minutes. Late in the evening I finally got through and was told they would be here BETWEEN 9am AND NOON. At 10:24 am that morning, I got a text that they would be here between 4pm and 6pm. Because I scheduled my day around theirs, I was not able to be home. Amazingly, they responded to another of my texts telling me that their route was set up to only service me in the afternoon. I set up another appointment IN THE MORNING and received a text confirming the morning appointment (no time specified, only morning) only to receive an email at 9:00am telling me that my appointment has been rescheduled to 1pm to 3pm. I again won't be home because I planned my day around theirs. I have repeatedly called, texted and emailed only to be ignored. I am looking for a new pest control company. read more

This company used to be one of the best and the most friendly past control company ever in Vegas. I will give them a benefit of the doubt(because of hardship due to corona) but some idiots in the high level position decide to make all calls go to main call center now and it is extremely hard to get hold of anyone. Three freaking times I was on hold for 59 mins and 59 secs and I automated system hung up on me automatically at 1 hour mark on the dot. I asked one of the manager why they decided to make all calls go to call center instead of dealing with calls locally, they said it's all in order to better assist customers. Really? I used to get real person almost right away for almost 4 years and now I will be lucky if I get someone on the line. I would totally understand if they said their services are poor now due to covid hard ship since we are all in this together but it made even more angry when they said they decided to make all calls go to main center to better assist us. Total BS. To be fair -- actual services guys who is doing their job on the fields are awesome! read more

I loved this company and was with them for 2+ years. I recommended them to everyone! Because I have pets and will not leave my gate unlocked I was required to call the office when I was due for appointments. Prior to Covid this was a non issue. Once covid happened this company changed their phone system and it's the worst now. They use a call center for their chats and no one ever returns calls. When calling the office be prepared to wait 15+ minutes on hold. I even tried to email their email address several times and they all came back as undeliverable. This company doesn't care about loyalty. When I finally got through I told the woman that answered that I wanted to cancel. She said ok you're all set. Didn't care why or try to get me to stay. I don't want anything for free just to easily be able to contact the office to make schedule appointments because of my dogs. But now I'll be looking for a new company. read more

I just moved into my home and had a man from the company knock on my door and told me initial payment was $49 and then would go up to $100 after that. Well the company took it upon themselves to come to my home without an appointment while I was out of the country and spray outside my home. I never made nor confirmed the appointment. Now they want $107 for coming to my home without my permission. I don't even know if they actually sprayed. They didn't go inside my home they didn't have appointment. I told them I want to cancel since they came to my home unannounced and then got told if I cancel I would owe $200 for breaking contract. This place is a joke and any termination company that has to come to your house in 30 days has junk product. There was no reason to come to my house. I don't have bugs I don't need them so why are they showing up to my home unannounced and charging me claiming to spray. Crooked. read more

This company really knows what they're doing when it comes to pest control! We've had a terrible cricket problem and the day after aptive sprayed outside our home we found a bunch of dead crickets outside the border of our home. Jose Garcia was our technician and did a great job. I'm happy that we will hopefully not have a cricket problem anymore. read more

This is our 3rd service call from Aptive and so far we have been happy with our service. As advertised, they came out between my regular service calls, to treat a spider problem we had. Our service pro, Benjamin Morales, was on-time and professional. I really appreciated him showing me our problem areas, detailing the pests we had and several reasons why they were lingering in certain areas. I especially appreciated the tips because we have a 16 month old who loves playing in the yard. Because of the brown and black widow problem, he hasn't been able to do so. With the tips he's given us, along with the scheduled sprayings, we will definitely be able to have our son back in the yard again. read more

I have been an Aptive customer for a couple years now, I believe. Since then, we've seen mostly dead or dying roaches, earwigs (I think) and spiders. Recently, and just before a regular service call, we saw a real-life, walking, talking, fairly large scorpion in the middle of our living room! I called Aptive for an unscheduled touch-up and Thomas Bordonaro came out the next day and treated inside and out; no charge. Then when it came time for our regular treatment, Thomas came out again and did just the outside. I mentioned doing the inside again (actually thinking that would be overkill) and Thomas explained that interior treatments don't break down as quickly as the outside, so we decided the outer perimeter would be fine. These guys are great. I have them treat the inside of the garage and set new bug traps about every-other-time and I always see less and less critters. Thanks Aptive! =Mitch D. read more

He had no materials - no business cards or brochures - he just kept pushing me to sign up on the spot. When I told him again that I was in a hurry, he turned and walked away without saying a word. No thank you, no information on how I could learn more about the company, no goodbye. Wow - great sales etiquette. That told me all I needed to know about Aptive. Let me start by saying that we have been customers for over 3 years. We have always had scheduling problems with Aptive. The final straw was today. We had an appointment scheduled between 8am-12pm. At 11:55am I called because they had not showed up. Even though they saw email proof of our appointment time, they had us scheduled for the following week. I feel that they were unapologetic, only offering a $15 discount at first with an four hour window appointment tomorrow after we waited all morning today. I asked to speak with a manager. He was just as unapologetic as the first person I spoke with. He offered a $20 discount off all future visits. Why were we not getting that rate in the first place?? Also, after waiting all morning today, he would only offer us a two hour window for our next service. This is poor customer service in my opinion. Aptive should have not charged us for the next visit and scheduled a specific appointment time. We canceled our service contract with them and will strongly discourage anyone to use this company. read more

When I followed up, at first they denied the scheduled appointment date, but after further research they finally told me that they moved my appointment and never notified me. I was going to use these folks but they've been sending their guys out into neighborhoods that are gated and have no soliciting signs at the front as well as the guys who come out, are disrespectful and disobey the no soliciting signs at doors - if I wanted to be a jerk I could go after them for violating NRS for not abiding by the no soliciting signs. When I answered the guy on the camera , he tried to use the tactics of "oh we are doing your neighbors home" - okay I call BS because we talk to our neighbors and they don't need pest control and haven't had the service done... they also tried to scare us into thinking the bugs were going to flee the neighbors home and come to ours .... eye roll!!! The guy refused to listen to me when I kept telling him to respect the no soliciting sign and threw his hands up at me and shoo'd me away with them. They've also come to homes in the area super late in the evening which is even more disrespectful. This company needs to grow up and learn that scare tactics and disrespect to no soliciting signs isn't a way to grow the business. read more

We were "month to month" and after I told them it wasn't working and we had ants I was called a liar by them and the tech they sent out I told them to cancel us and they said that's fine we didn't owe anything because we already paid, now they are trying to say we owe them $900! Gtf outta here with that bs. If I could give them 0 stars I would! Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect by a company. Send that bill to collections I will never pay it. read more
