I only tend to leave reviews for 2 reasons, Stellar Service or Dreadful Service. This is definitely a DREADFUL SERVICE REVIEW.
I went into the location to book the reservation for 8. As we discussed, I would be responsible for paying for all of the guests at the price of $72 per person which would cover a Gel Manicure and Classic or Spa Manicure. On their brochure it stated they offered a 10% discount for parties of 4 or more . We discussed that any amount over the $72 would be the responsibility of my guests. The price seemed fair and I was ready to book. I booked the reservation for 2/20 at 5:00pm and was so excited for the day to come.
On 2/20 at 4:20 Finally, at 4:45pm someone came to acknowledge us and invite us to the VIP area to get situated. When we got to the back area we noticed that there was water already in the foot spa. Once we took off our shoes and put our feet in the water we noticed that the water was lukewarm. Several of us asked for hot water to be run in the foot spa and that's when we were informed that THERE WAS NO HOT RUNNING WATER One of the associates stated that Something happened to their hot water earlier in the day. So they began dumping boiling hot water out of a red bowl into the foot spa of some of the guests. Clearly this was unacceptable. I mentioned to one of the associates that the lack of hot running water was unacceptable and she stated that we are doing the best that we can.
After all but one of my guests were completed, I motioned to an associate that I was ready to pay for the services. The associate came to the front desk and showed me a piece of paper with some amounts on it. She explained that 3 of the guests exceeded the $72 agreed amount and 3 guests did not receive $72 worth of service. She then explained the total included all of the guests services, the 10% discount for having a party of 4 or more, plus a discount for not having hot water . The final amount was $465. I felt like this was reasonable, so I paid for the service. I also tipped $ because everyone loved their nails. Once the last guest was finished she came to the front and went to the counter to pay for her services, since she went over $72. I explained to my guest and the associate that served her, that I had already paid for all services. The associate then began to raise her voice and say "She went over $72 by $3, I'm charging her for the work I did." I tried to explain to her that the previous associate had already included the overages in my total bill, which I had just paid for less than 5 minutes prior. She then says, "It's not a big deal to her, so why is it a big deal to you?" At that point, I became highly offended, and a verbal disagreement ensued. One of the male associates stepped in and said that he understood my point and tried to diffuse the situation, however I found it useless to debate any longer because we had a dinner reservation and didn't want to further ruin the night by potentially being late for it. My party and I left and I figured that I would call the next day to discuss and attempt to resolve the misunderstanding.
I called the next day (2/21) in an effort to resolve the issue and get clarification on exactly what services I had paid for since I did not receive a receipt, and asked to speak to the Owner or Manager on Duty.. The woman that answered the phone stated that she was the Owner, but would not give her name. I began to explain the situation and the woman on the phone was really dismissive and kept saying "Yeah, Ok." as I was speaking. Once I finished explaining, she said "well if you wouldn't have yelled at my girl, I would have let the $3 go" I then explained that that I didn't care about paying $3 extra for my guest, but the situation could have been handled better and diffused if the associate would have just taken the time to listen to the fact that the person who charged my credit card told me that ALL CHARGES were included in my total.
Also, what I didn't know was that each one of my guests that had exceeded the $72 amount had also paid for their overages and tipped the nail tech. I never received a receipt so I'm unsure if we were double charged or not. I also brought up the fact that there was NO HOT RUNNING WATER (which is a bare minimum expectation when getting a manicure and pedicure) and that no one from her Salon called me to inform me of that fact. She then stated "We were busy yesterday and ran out of hot water just before you arrived and we did our best to accommodate you. I was the one boiling water for you all." I mentioned that I had contacted theHealth Department for their lack of hot running water at the time of our service, and she said "Wait, so you were really going to call the Health Department over $3?" I stated that I DID contact them. Not because of $3, but because of the health and safety of the public. She then said "Well thanks for calling them. The joke is on you, because we have hot water today." PLEASE SEE ATTACHED! read more
