I visited this salon for a quick pedicure before a trip. And a rushed experience is what I received. Upon sitting in the chair I was handed a book to select the type of pedicure. After reviewing several pricier options of the same thing, I settled on a basic pedicure. I had recently broken a toenail and needed some help on my big toe. My attending nail tech stated she could add some acrylic or a tip. After completing the basic pedicure, the tech who was on her phone my entire visit ran off to grab another tech who scurried over from another patron he was working on perform surgery on my big toe nail. He was so rushed and rude. He did manage to advise me that he would be placing acrylic on the other toe as well. Upon completion I wasn't satisfied. However I was ready to move on. Then comes the bill which the tech advise was $62 as they charge $10 per toe for acrylic. I have had to rely on acrylic overlay in past times and had never paid that much for gluing on a toe nail. I inquired on their pricing and was advised that there is a sign up front stating that their pricing had increased. Why hand me a book with prices or advise of what the price increase is when ordering the service. This place is a real joke and lacks tact and professionalism. Not to mention arbitrarily charging what they want because they have posted a very vague statement at the front. Steer clear of businesses with this type of business practices. read more

I was so excited to get manicure at such a beautiful salon. Lynn did good job on cutting cuticles and nice conversations. I liked the way she worked and asked to do my pedicure. She said ok, and then put me to the pedicure chair and brought another person to do my pedicure. Surprise number one! When I said that I wanted her to do my pedicure, she said that she is busy. Later I saw her to clean trash cans. Next day, after my shower, I realized that polish started to pill off. I had no time to go back,and decided to do that on day 2 after my manicure was done. When I came, guy, who was on a counter sai :Sure, we will fix it for you. I asked, if I can choose another polish brand due to this one is not a good quality, if that peels off and cracking next day. He agreed for me to get another brand. After 15 minutes wait, I noticed that this guy asked Lynn about my polish. He came and said that change polish is $12. I thought that I misunderstood, but he repeated that I need to pay $12, because there is no guarantee on polish if that's not gel. No guarantee? Even for one day? The place is not cheap, and no guarantee? Absolutely rude and not customer-oriented place. Sounds like careless place. Stay away from them! Worst experience and mistreatment in my life. In front of my daughter. This stemmed from me telling the pedicure lady she didn't have to interrupt me 3 times in 1 minute of me approaching me when she saw I was on a call. I waited 30 minutes to get service, wasn't sure when they were walking up. I signaled one sec and she still kept asking. Her response was thats my job. When I said it's not to be rude... she refuses to finish my pedicure hence someone else had to do it and I missed my nail slot because they went home. Asked for a managers only tokd wasnt. Then told by the front desk guy he is the manager. I asked for clarity... they all knew nothing. Finally a young girl TRAN who walked by several times states im the manager after I was about to leave (1 hR later)... when I went to explain because she now offered... she immediately threw it in my face I was 15 minutes late... but I called. They said it was ok. And what does that have to do with her being rude? She started yelling in FRONT of my kid who is 12 even after I told her to please stop. End of story, someone recommended me here, I drive a while to get here. I should have stuck to my old area, im turning 50 tomorrow and I am getting in a plane without my nails done and feeling disrespected this all happened in my kid's presence. And before you assume I was yelling as well... I wasn't- TRAN brought all the attention paving the floor stating she watched me for an hour complain and I was late. I felt she only approached me to create further conflict and not assist. I was literally on my way out and had no idea who she was... the other guy had already given me another name who he says was a manager and I was clear to call in the morning. I have been to AQ Nail Spa several times, as I have given them chance after chance, and each time they disappoint me one way or another. The first time I went here I wanted a nail design done and had shown them a picture of what I wanted. It turned out terribly, and looked nothing like what I had shown them. I chalked it up to maybe if I had another person in the spa to do my nails it would have turned out better. The following time I had gone for a pedicure and had an appointment set. Unfortunately when I got there, I had to wait an additional hour to be tended to. However, I will say my pedicure turned out nice. This past week I needed to get my nails done and came Sunday. To my surprise, the store door was locked an hour before the store was supposed to be closed. I visited again a few days later and called in prior to make sure I wouldn't encounter the same issue. When I arrived, the door was open, however, I was not greeted and had to wait 20 minutes until I decided to walk to the back myself to ask to be serviced. I usually like to give businesses benefit of the doubt which is what I've done with AQ. Also, if it wasn't for the fact that I have just moved to this area and am still familiarizing myself with the town, I would've found another nail spa by now. The only reason I'm giving AQ 2 stars is because it is very nice inside and they are decent at pedicures. However, if you are wanting good and consistent service, and are wanting a non-standard nail design, I'd advise to go elsewhere. read more

I don't usually write bad reviews but this is the second time I've had a bad experience at this salon and I wanted to share it and save someone else from getting ripped off. This time my daughter had made appointments ahead of time for both of us to get pedicures,and a full set manicure for herself. We arrived on time and were invited to soak our feet in. It took about 50 minutes until someone started on our pedicures. I have no complaints about the pedicure techs, they did a great job. However my daughter's manicure tech was rude and obnoxious. He told her the nail color she wanted was "out" and proceeded with something entirely different, which she hated. After I'd already paid for the pedicures, he argued that I didn't; and tried to charge us twice. The manager who was there the whole time was reluctant to step in and correct the overcharge. This is by far the most expensive nail salon trip we've ever had, but even worse than overpaying, was the disappointment of trying to be scammed. read more

I made a reservation for my husband and I. When we arrived no one acknowledged us. A couple minutes later someone else came in. This person was greeted and taken directly back for services. A tech yelled to us from her station asked could we be helped. Finally go back they started on my husband first even after I explained I need to soak off gel polish. 20 minutes, he was nearly done while my water was cold and noone had even started on me. So I nicely put my shoes on then everyone wants to come running to assist. No need. I will never return to this unprofessional establishment. I suggest noone else do either. I got a pedicure there 2 days ago and it was amazing! So amazing I decided to go back yesterday to get a full set of GEL nails, which I very clearly stated. The technician gave me a full of of acrylic nails with gel nail polish on top (which is not uniform at all, it looks armature). She said about 2 words to me the entire time and did nothing at all for my cuticles; this is the first time I have any professional nail treatment since the pandemic started a year ago-they very clearly needed something and I would have happily paid for it. Now I have to find a place to get these acrylics off since I do not want to risk getting the same person. My first experience was great but my second has ruined it. Disappointed. read more
