The hoops you have to jump through just for someone to entertain your proposal of work is insane! I don't know how they get customers. Spent two days going back and forth with whoever is communicating for the company on this app. Was initially told they couldn't service me at all, then they came back asking what services I needed (which how did you know you couldn't service if you didn't even know what I needed? Plus what I'm asking for is literally listed in the inquiry) then was told they didn't have time, but came back again asking how quickly I needed the work done. Just to respond with a snarky it would have been easier if they had my phone number and could come on site to look at the work.... What!?!?! Then why wouldn't you, like every other company I've inquired with, ask for my number and schedule an appraisal? Do you want to hire me as staff so I can do administrative work for you? Also don't utilize this app if it doesn't work for your business needs. This is work I need to get done, if you're interested take the job, if not say so and quit playing games and wasting my time. Extremely overpriced and taken advantage of. Gave me misinformation about my pool. For example, I told him it could drain on its own and he told me no and that he would need to bring his own pump. $575 (to drain and fill) for something I found out I can do for free. He made it seem like I had extremely outdated equipment and valves and needed to replace it all for a total of over $2K. My other estimates were $265 or less total and they said my valves and equipment are fine. I was astonished. When I told the owner his estimate was really high, he just never responded to me even when we had a meeting scheduled. I tried contacting him multiple times just to confirm he wasn't going to come anymore. I feel bad leaving a negative review but no one deserves this. Would definitely advice to find another pool plumber. read more

The second company that I worked with was in and out in one day and also could not solve any of my problems. In contrast to those first two companies, Ryan was a breath of fresh air. Ryan is a nice guy, which makes this review more difficult. But if I separate him from his work I can't recommend him to others, at least not to others in my boat. I have a pregnant wife of 8 months and a toddler running around. Life is a little eventful. I'm looking for someone to take the stress of pool maintenance off me, and Ryan was not able to satisfy my needs. I believe his intentions are good, but not well suited to my needs. Without getting into specifics, I need someone who can maintain the pool reliably and effectively, clearly communicate any issues, including cost / lead time for repairs, and execute repairs timely as requested, and I did not feel this was delivered. I found myself w/ a faulty valve, and our home warranty sent Ryan out to take a look. Seemed like he made time immediately (within 24 hours of requesting) to come out and take a look. Once on site he diagnosed the issue and even though it wasn't requested he made sure everything else was fully functional. Short story long...he didn't want me to find out afterwards and have to put in a completely different request. He informed me the filter also had a slight crack in it, and was leaking. I already knew this but did not know it would be able to be replaced by warranty. =) He sent the request off to home warranty and the next day after being approved Ryan called and let me know when he could put the new parts in. He sent text messages throughout the entire process and it was fantastic coming home to a clean and WORKING pool filter. The attention to detail was awesome and the communication was outstanding. After repair was completed I inquired about regular service. Full of excuses. Blamed my home warranty for delays then suppliers for lying about equipment inventory then Pentair for long holds for customer support and changing their app. Beyond frustrating for both of us, but I was paying $$ for this. Got two new pumps and a new filter cartridge, mostly paid by insurance due to a bad leak. He said he put in a lot of Pentair remotes and they were complicated, so I got one from him, $2000. Then he kept putting me off. Took over a month. Weekly would say one day, then another and another.Nice guy but how long could I be patient? Sure he knows some of his stuff. It all eventually almost got done. Although, I was the one who figured out how to use remote Pentair function. He asked me how. Worst was when he ghosted me for over a week on fixing the new filter 's leak (and getting me receipts for what I paid for equipment). He said he needed to drain the spa again to fix the leak. I said enough! Even if I have to pay a new service fee to another contractor i just wanted it to be done. I checked with my regular pool guy. Did it need to be drained? He looked at it and showed me where the drip was coming from. With his hands (no tools) twisted a connection and it was fine. BTW it was late the next week after I said I was done when i finally got the receipts. Again nice guy, obviously well-intentioned, pleasant, but very, very frustrating to deal with.
