After doing much research, we decided to resurface our pool but to keep costs down keep the existing coping. Guy walked us through the process and we went from demo to finished surface in less than two weeks. Entire team was professional and did an amazing job. Absolutely fantastic!!! Tony Cohen was our project manager and the foreman was Horacio. We had them replace our backyard fence and repave the cracks in our swimming pool. Tony was incredibly responsive and detail oriented. He fulfilled every request to the last detail. Horacio was also incredibly kind and helpful throughout the process. What a great experience with Jonathan and his crew from Way To Go Builders (San Diego)! We knew we wanted the pool replastered. We ended up also updating the coping around the edges. Instead of clean rounded off edges, the old flagstone coping was super jagged. So we wanted new coping with rounded off edges. The costs were clear from the start, so no unexpected changes. Way to Go Builders just finished our front porch, backyard patio, and pool remodel. We wanted our pool updated with new plastered and tile; a spa and a new BBQ installed; and new paver stones for both our back and front patios. It was no small task as the old pool had a reinforced concrete waterfall and rocks on our brick wall. The demo of the wall, pool deck and patio took almost 3 weeks alone. Once the demo was completed the project progressed smoothly and our project was totally completed in just over 3 months (this includes the city approval process). Our project coordinators, Miki and Ori, both did a great job working with and managing the contractors who actually did the work. This was a big benefit for my wife and I since we didn't have to hire and deal with individual contractors. I prefer to deal with and pay one person or company. It may be more expensive in the long run, but we like that convenience. The project turned out great and we are very happy with all the work. Miki and Ori did a great job keeping the project on track and were available for every one of our questions or change orders. Even at the end of our project, when contractors generally move on to the next project, Miki and Ori made sure the contractors returned and finished the final touches. Wow, these guys understand how it's done. Amazing experience throughout the whole process. Within hours of reaching out to them, I was able to schedule a free consultation. Jonathan came by a couple days later and spent a lot of time discussing my vision with me. I initially asked for a hot tub + deck in the front yard, but Jonathan walked me through how we could fit that in the backyard, which is what I really wanted (but thought the backyard was too small). Once we agreed on the project and the price, the only hold up was me actually finding the hot tub and getting it delivered. As soon as I gave Jonathan a delivery date for the hot tub, he was able to start work - the workers were literally here already waiting for the delivery. The workers were extremely efficient, I was absolutely floored by how quickly they got the job done. I was also impressed with the electrician - connecting the hot tub to the main panel in my house (which is indoors, upstairs) was no small feat and required some on the spot problem solving. What really impressed me, though, was their dedication to customer satisfaction. Jonathan was available via cell phone communication the whole time, letting me know every detail of the schedule and answering all of my questions. He was here during multiple days of the project, overseeing the work. Guy also popped by multiple times to evaluate the work. Mind you - this deck is probably a relatively small project for them, so I was very pleasantly surprised with the attention. They are also honest with what work they think you need to have done with your project - we had discussed installing a drain, but once Jonathan and Guy inspected the backyard area, told me honestly that a drain would be superfluous (even though they would have made more money from this) and that buying a pump would be a much cheaper and equally effective option. I had a moment of panic when I realized that the main panel of the hot tub was facing the wrong direction for adequate access, and Jonathan and Guy were both there to troubleshoot this for me - they actually took apart a portion of the deck they had built around the hot tub, had their guys rotate the hot tub, and then re-built the deck (at no cost to me). They truly gave me the sense that customer satisfaction was their number one priority during this entire project. I am sooooooo happy with their work. Any time in the future that I can use Way to Go Builders, I will be using them. I will be enthusiastically recommending them to anyone that needs outdoor work done. read more

We hired WTGB to remodel our backyard. I am pretty happy with the AGL Pro Natural 90 grass that we selected. We were after a realistic look and I think WTGB did a good job installing it and provided a good selection of grasses to choose from. In the end, the grass looks pretty realistic to our eyes.  We are also happy with the trex deck installed by WTGB. However, I picked the hidden fastener system which I sort of regretted because it leaves wider gaps between the planks, which can result in weed growing between the planks.  Something to consider when you select your trex type, which I hope I had considered it prior to installation. The other cap type isnt ugly at all because it is hardly noticeable. Eran was my project manager, although there were issues that came up during the remodelling process, as expected in most remodeling work, Eran had been responsive, maintained a good attitude and tried to smooth out the issues as much as he is able to. Generally, I had a good experience with WTGB but I definitely wished they had provided more in person and onsite supervision and direction of the work done by their workers/contractors so that any issues can be caught early and addressed timely to prevent issues or disagreements down the road. read more

This is the first Yelp review I'm writing and for good reason. My wife reached out to Way To Go Builders to request a quote on our backyard and it ended up being a huge project, including the driveway, front yard, and backyard. Ori, our site supervisor, was great from the beginning. He was flexible with the timing of our consult and came in on his day off over the weekend. Ori arrived on time and was extremely professional. You know when you have an idea, but not quite sure what you want? Ori, being the professional that he is, came prepared and was ready with references and concepts to help fulfill our vision. After the first day, he even sent us a fruit basket as a thank you. Before any work was done! All throughout, Ori was great communicator with a group chat dedicated to our project. Amazing guy, that Ori. Also, all the workers that came out were nice, great, and professional. Ori was also knowledgeable in different financing options and the company works with a lender that can help with big projects. We kept adjusting along the way and Ori was very gracious throughout the whole process. We also put a time crunch on Ori because of an upcoming party and the whole job was done within 3 weeks! For the backyard, we got pavers installed and a new outdoor patio. For the driveway, we were just going to redo the cement but ended up doing a nice design with Ori's recommendation. For the front yard, we had sprinklers installed along with new grass. There was some dried cement that dried and splattered on our garage door, but upon notification, Ori was nice enough to send someone out to clean it up (weeks after the project was done). I bought a house with a pool and I barely swim. But I want the thing to look good and it was falling apart. The tile was crumbling off the spa wall into the pool and under the water the plaster was fading in a bunch of spots, plus there was a rust spot which meant there was a leak coming all the way up from the rebar. I ended up getting 5 quotes because I used the Yelp group estimate request function. The quotes ranged from $14k-22k and I chose this contractor, Way To Go, whose quote fell in between the high and low estimates. Ori was the guy who came out. He was friendly and very knowledgable. I liked his vibe. I really didn't want to spend money on my pool because I barely use it but I hate when things look raggedy. Once he realized I was unsure about writing a big check all at once he offered to get me financing at a low rate with payments under $200 per month. That changed everything! I had no idea there was such a thing as a POOL loan! He gave me a direct link to his preferred lender and I got approved pretty quickly. Ori's first worker showed up the day after my approval and drained the pool. I was shocked at how fast and smooth this was happening. A couple days later an army of guys descended upon my property and demo'd all the plaster and tile in about 4 hours. The rest of the process was smooth and timely as the crew retiled the spa wall and pool trim, then they replastered the pool and spa surface. Ori kept me up to date every step of the way-- from the loan application process and all through demo and construction. His crew was professional, friendly and cleaned up as they went. They had their own porta-potty that was placed in my driveway so they never had to come in the house for anything. The pool now looks fantastic. They even added a new modern iron guard rail to replace a really old and crappy rusted one that was there. I just might actually use my pool and spa more LOL!
