Initial contact from owner Ben sounded promising but arrogance overruled being able to work with him and his company. Prices are inflated. No empathy for seniors on a very low Social Security income, disabled people and women - absolutely NO discounts!! Feels that if you have a pool you must be rich - never mind that some people bought their house before 2000 when prices were low. Nevermind that his workers are basically unskilled, non pool owners with little to no experience with pools. Very unsympathetic to anyone who is financially disadvantaged. High cost for services offered! Too bad because the owner seemed to knowledgeable on pools - just rude and prejudiced against giving any discount to the disadvantaged pool owners! So upset with this company! So rude. They have not show up to service the pool for two weeks and they have the nerve to call me a liar. They were supposed to come on Thursdays every week. During both weeks they did mot show up and when I called them out on this, I was at fault! It was my fault not to see them and I have been home or in the pool both days with my kid and my parents. Not to mention that once they left the water running when we were not in town and the water went to the street for hours so that our neighbor had to contact us and shut off the water. So originally contracted Levy and things where great, then Levy subcontracted the work out to a man Bruce. Bruce was horrible the pool constantly turned green, I asked him to adjust the pump and vavles to make sure the pool was getting optimally heated from the solar... he stated he did. However I went to check and this work was never done. I forgot to turn off my bank auto pay to Bruce when I told him his services where no longer needed. This is my fault and once I realized I messaged Bruce and asked him to return it and he just ignored me. So I'll take the loss because clearly it was my mistake not properly turning off autopay, but it does speak to his character. I would beware of Ben Levy pools. The guy always makes you feel like he is doing you a favor while not maintaining your pool. It took him over one year to diagnose an air leak problem with our pool. All the while he was billing us for extra filter cleans and blaming it on everyone else but his lack of pool knowledge. It was a simple air leak that turned & our pool into one with filter media always on the bottom. He took payment for a month of pool service not provided and refused to refund for services not provided. As an example, today I texted Ben to tell him that there was a small snake on the bottom of our pool and the pool sweep had sucked it up. I asked Ben what I should do about it. He texted that he would see me in a few minutes (and this is a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon). When Ben arrived and took apart the basket, we were able to confirm that the snake was a baby rattlesnake! Ben is an all around awesome guy. He made sure we were happy with his services and we are!! He is nice, very knowledgeable and is always quick to respond. When we moved in we called him up and he took the time to come out and explain how our (semi-aged) filter and pump system worked which was greatly appreciated. We found out we had a fountain feature that we didn't even know about which was a nice surprise! We knew we had a solar system on the roof but we didn't know how to use it or what pipe was what. He did. He knew it all. Very telling he really knows how pools work by the fact he was able to identify what each pipe was and where it went pretty much immediately. He recommended an energy efficient pump and heater we could upgrade to (we asked him, he wasn't trying to up-sell us anything) that we are now very happy with. It all works great.
