So when I voice my concerns on maybe having cavities and needing a deep cleaning they did not care only to do a deep cleaning in under 30 mins and didn't even floss my teeth after horrible experience do not trust this dentist find somewhere else. After the visit I went to get a 2nd opinion was told they didn't a shitty job on cleaning my teeth and confirmed with me that a deep cleaning does not take less than 30 mins I really hope this review helps and keep you away!!! As a person with A LOT of dental work, I never thought I would say that I love my dental office and dentist. I've been coming to Aqua Dental for almost 10 years now and I've always felt like I've been in good hands with them. They were closed during the pandemic for a remodel so I had to find another dentist during that time. I went to two different dentists and both offices left me with a bad taste in the mouth (no pun intended) by improper billing and bad advice on treatments. I really appreciate Cynthia (office manager) and how she explains the billing and plan of treatment; she always goes above and beyond to take care of the patients! I also really enjoy talking to and having Dr. Dustin as my dentist because I trust his expertise and honesty. You can also tell that he genuinely cares. My husband is very, very afraid of the dentist and I've made him make the switch to Aqua Dental and I've seen them go out of their way to help ease his severe anxiety and also with his emergency root canal (which they referred out because it was a difficult case) when they had nothing to gain! Cynthia even called around on his behalf to squeeze him in before the weekend!! If that isn't caring, I don't know that is! This is a small dental office with a lot of heart!!! Today was my extraction day, the start of a few procedures that I have in the next 9 months. My appt .was at 10am and Dr. Dustin came in right on the dot. I'm the BIGGEST chicken about going to the dentist...so much I make sure I don't have any cavities so I can just go for the normal 2X a year maintenance & cleaning! I rather be on an operating table than the dentist office. I guess I was really traumatized as a kid becuz I had so many issues. Having serious FEARS...I was so scared about today. Dr. Dustin listened to my fears of PAIN and he knocked me up with a lot of numbness. He asked me to tell him when half my tongue was tingling but I couldn't FEEL to feel so I called for him and the EXTRACTION began. He did several tests to make sure I was NOT going to feel any pain. NO PAIN...let the fun begin. Within minutes...he had my lifeless tooth out with a few tugs and twists. I didn't feel anything but very little pressure. I was so impressed, I've been to several other dentists after my childhood for other work and I've always felt pain even under numbness. Dr. Dustin is really really GOOD. Even when he was giving me the shot to numb me, he was so gentle and didn't move at all. I am so happy with today's procedure that I'm going to not be SO FEARFUL when I need to go back to the dentist.... Thank you Dr. Dustin...I appreciate your attention to my fears. I am staying with you guys and recommending all of my friends & family. As a doctor is so hard to find, so is a GREAT dentist....both Dr. Dustin and Dr. Keren (his wife) are the BEST I've met so far. I'm so happy I finally found a great dental office. Everyone from their offices are the NICEST and super friendly. Customer Service is a rare find these days, they are very customer service oriented. Everytime they found a cavity on my son I would let them take care of it right there and then or sometimes they would reschedule him. Well ended up they overlooked on one of the cavities for some reason they skipped it. On his 6 month check up they didn't take good xrays so they weren't able to see that cavity still there.. so a year passed and they noticed the cavity was still there. They said ithe cavity had gotten bigger where it needed it root canal. Ended up they couldn't do it there and sent my child to another dentist. Long story short they overlooked the cavity pass 1 year and they tried to blame me for not bringing my son for the treatment. I will never go back with my kids. I feel awful for taking them here. They keep getting new dentists they are all crappy. My son fillings and his new doctor said those fillings have new cavities and fillings are coming off. Do not go here. I will report this to insurance. Will NEVER go back here again. So dissapointed because of them my son has to go to several dental visits to work on cavities that this place didn't do a good job on it. So upset!!! read more

Dustin the dentist is great! Not only is the entire staff friendly, but everyone is helpful, and informative. I have gone there on multiple occasions and have always had a positive experience. Dustin and Karen make it a painless experience. I had to have eight teeth pulled and had the quickest recovery imaginable. NO PAIN! Wasted my time! Was recommended and made an appointment on a Thursday. Provided ALL my insurance information prior to attending my appointment. Confirmed Saturday and AGAIN provided insurance information. Arrived Monday morning just to find out they hadn't verified my insurance info. Was informed they couldn't see me! Worst service EVER!!!! Please try to stay away from this place. They gave me an appointment for root canal and then after one hour and 30 minuets they found out the the tooth doesn't need to it. And they said i have three cavities. And they started to work on them after one more hour Suddenly they gave me anesthesia it turns out they performed a "procedure" without my consent and ended up nomming me for it and i had to wait for one more hour and they didn't do anything to my teeth. When i asked them why did you give me anesthesia then they said sorry but it was wrong diagnosis and you can leave now or you have to pay because our computers are down!!! I was so upset and i have talked to the dr and front desk their reply was ok ok leave leave now bye bye with really unrespectful way. They are impolite and so mean i start to yell and say that's not acceptable you gave me anesthesia without any response she said in a rude way leave now!!! They didn't even give an explanation or why they did that they were discussing my case and it look like they did something wring and they only want me to leave VERY VERY SHADDY PEOPLE!! IM CHANGING DENTIST AND NEVER GOING BACK THERE EVER! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS place.. trust me don't go there. I will call my insurance and create a claim against them read more

I came in to Aqua Dental because I had a terrible toothache earlier today. I had been having some discomfort for the past few weeks but I'm terrified of dentist so I kept taking over the counter pain killers but today was the day I could no longer take it. As soon as I walked in Cynthia greeted me so nicely. I thought I wasn't going to be able to be seen today because I had called a few officer prior to walking in and I was told I would have to make an appointment and the appointments available were until Thursday or next week. I was in so much pain, I couldn't wait! So I walk in and I explained Cynthia my problem. She had me fill out the new patient forms and while I was doing that, she quickly verified my insurance. Once I was done, she took me in for few X-rays. She was so gentle and quick! After she took my X-rays, she took me in to another room where I met Dr. Lee. I thought I would have to wait a long time because I had to wait a long time for the doctor to come in at my previous dentist. Both Dr. Lee and Cynthia were so caring and gentle. Dr. Lee was able to do my root canal and get me out of the horrible pain I felt. I will definitely be staying as a patient of Aqua Dental and I recommend everyone to go for any dental problems or treatment you may need. Disappointment big time and scammer! I was a loyal customer and had my 4 children go here. She was great with my children. But at the time I was on Medical and paid for some procedures cash for myself she put a crown on my front tooth and I wasn't happy with the way her and medical staff treated me had to go back a few times to fix it and sand it down. In the end I switch dentist for myself and 4 children. I was really disappointed I was referred to her and her husband by a neighbor that's friends with her husband. I found another dentist and made a appointment for a deep cleaning. And found out Dr. Keren Nguyen charged the insurance for a false vist I never made and I couldn't do the deep cleaning with new dentist due to her dentistry making false appointment. I couldn't believe it!!! It's sad we should be able to trust our local dentist. Especially growing up and being a Costa Mesa resident. read more

Before Aqua Dental I had the same dentist since I was 3 years old and every 6 months to a year it was nerve racking the closer I get the dentist office and often times I would reschedule the appointment. I even walked around with a broken tooth for months. While out visiting a client I happen to see a patient walk out of Aqua Dental office smiling, I thought "wow" that's unusual to see someone coming out of a dentist office with a smile. After leaving my client office I once again see someone leaving with a smile. So I decided to go in and ask questions. In short.... a few hours later (after squeezing me in and working longer hours than normal) I too was walking out with a smile :) . I had a thorough exam, history consultation, my teeth cleaned, a cavity filled with no pain, and an impression for my crown to fix the broken tooth. Dr. Dustin Nguyen and Dr. Karen Nguyen may look like they're only 21 (good genes) but they are very knowledgeable and up to date with all the latest technology yet wiser than a lot of their a senior competitors. They will also give you the best darn service on this side the Mississippi! So after 22 years, I left my one and only dentist for the gentle hands of Aqua Dental and I have been traveling 120 miles (round trip) every 6 months for 8 years for my dentistry needs. And all referrals I have given are still Aqua dental patients. I'm not just writing this to get in good with the dentist, I truly mean it when I say that I am satisfied with the service I have received from Dr. Dustin and Karen Nguyen. The only fear I have now is they may one day win the lottery and take an early retirement...lol. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Keren and staff! A co-worker of mine recommended me to see her. He had implants done and highly recommended her. Dr. Keren is fantastic. She took time to explain procedures and answer my questions. I was impressed with her sincere care and professional approach that I wanted to share my experience. I needed 2 implants and the experience wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The surgery was painless during and after the operation. I remember it took about 30 minutes for Dr. Keren to finish two implants, less than what was needed for a routine deep cleaning. To my surprise I did not take any pain killer pills after the surgery because there was no pain at all. Only the antibiotic that was needed to prevent possible infection. I received a follow up call from Dr. Keren herself to see how I was doing. I appreciated that gesture. I was able to eat and drink normally the next day. I came back a couple of months later for Dr. Keren to do the crowns for the implants. I've been coming here ever since. The only thing though is that Dr. Keren seems to be on vacation all the time so I've had to see Dr. Park twice. He did my fillings recently. He's good too so I can't complain. read more

Office staff was polite and nice. The office itself is dirty. The cupboards are dirty and smeared, the floor has dirt around the edges and corners. The equipment they used to x-ray my teeth was wrapped in a blue hand glove, not the clear plastic I am accustomed to. What were they hiding? They did not have x-ray cover mats that have a neck guard. I didn't want to touch anything. To top it off, the dental hygienist did not floss my or my daughters teeth at the end, leaving all kinds of grit in between our teeth after the cleaning. Because I drink tea everyday, so I have stains come back on my teeth after a few months from cleaning. The dentist there keep pushing me for deep cleaning but I don't have the money to do that every year. So I just ask for a regular cleaning. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I see that they only clean the stains from the front teeth and left all the other stains behind(stains between the teeth in the back. are not clean.) I am so upset, I'll never come back to that place! read more
