At the age of 12, I was traumatized by getting cavity fillings without my mom's consent from another Dentist. They were metal fillings and I would've wanted composite but they didn't give me a choice or consult with my mom. Anyway, I'm now 29 years old and I wanted to change my fillings over to composite for cosmetic reasons and began my search for a dentist. I'm usually skeptical of 5 star reviews for businesses but I thought I'd schedule an appointment for a consultation and see from there. Kathleen was nice, prompt and got me in the following week to see Dr. No. The consultation went really well and Dr. No as well as the Dental Assistant were very friendly and gentle. Dr. No was completely honest with me and my reasoning on switching out my fillings. He didn't think it was necessary because there was nothing wrong with it but if I wanted to do it, he fully supported me. I decided to move forward with the process and did the right side of my mouth first and will do the other side the following month. The process was extremely fast that I did it during my lunch break. I also liked that there was a TV to distract from my mouth being probed. I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. No and would recommend him to anyone! He made the experience seamless and I would continue to go to him for future dental work. He's also a sweet man! I didn't feel like he was rushing or trying to up-sell me in anyway. read more

Harbor Modern Dentistry I emailed multiple times after the consult. I also spoke with your office manager and explained my wanted plan of care after the consult. I was told that the dentist would be asked but instead was never spoken to again. As for the filing type I had never asked for porcelain. I had wanted the filing covered by my insurance. Never was I asked if I wanted the porcelain upgrade. Instead a junk code was used that would not be covered for such an upgrade. Beware of such practices and always ask before moving forward with care. read more

He is all about business and they charge the insurances more than they should which is a crime. WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL Had to get all four wisdom teeth removed (decided to have all removed at once to get it over with). Dr. No is friggin awesome. Definitely seems knowledgeable and is very sweet. He makes sure you're comfortable during the whole process. No laughing gas, just local numbing - which actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Being conscious during the whole process was actually cool since Dr. No would talk throughout the whole procedure and let you know how everything is going. The only real pain comes from the numbing injections. I suggest closing your eyes so you don't see these scary tools he's using to extract your teeth though. Some pressure when he pulls the teeth out, but totally bearable (and some cracking noises too). He said the procedure would take two hours (since I had one difficult wisdom tooth growing sideways) but he was able to get it all done in about an hour. I haven't had any problems since getting them pulled and was able to eat everything again within a couple of days. Yay! Definitely will recommend him for anyone looking to get their wisdom teeth removed too! I've already recommended a relative looking to get hers pulled too :) read more

Dr. No is an amazing dentist. He provides excellent dental service and is very knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. He doesn't push any unnecessary dental work on me and is able to do cleanings completely pain free and effectively! Modern facilities and technology, very clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I've never had a dentist so thorough. Dr. No takes his time to make sure everything is explained, understood and feedback is given. He has very good chair-side manner, patient and informative. And for the most part (see below), he is very honest with his treatment, never doing more than what is necessary. Plus appointments are available on Saturday. His treatment area is one open, divided room which I usually hate, but it's designed to be very private and they do not overbook patients, so it usually quiet and relaxing. ***I took off one star because they do not offer the silver amalgam fillings, only composite/ceramic. Since many insurance companies only cover amalgam, you will be stuck paying out of pocket here, and they don't care. The mercury leaching filling scare has been debunked, since you intake significantly more mercury eating sushi or seafood once a week than by having a mouth full of amalgam fillings. Regardless of their motives, you either fork over the cash or you have to find another dentist. Either way, it inconveniences patients. read more

Dr. No is AMAZING!! My son had such a fear of the dentist and had anxiety even driving there. Dr. No and his staff were all so patient with him. He was extremely gentle, kind and efficient at the same time. He filled all of my sons cavities, and each time we saw him he was equally as friendly and gentle with him. After the assistant applied the fluoride, she says: "Oh, by the way it's $35 for the fluoride." Overall the PROS outweigh the CONS, and they still get 5 stars in my book. read more

Dr. No says "no" to unnecessary and incorrect dental treatment. He put my mind at rest after seeing 3 other dentists, who were ready to do all sorts of treatment that I didn't need. In only 1 instance did Dr. No agree that I could use some work on a particular tooth, and at that, he said it could wait until I get my new insurance. (I sat there in utter amazement as he went through tooth by tooth comparing what these other doctors suggested, knowing their recommendations were all bogus). In addition to being honest, he and his assistant, Morgan, have great chairside manner and are very gentle. Much to my amazement, he did a full cleaning on me with no numbing. Also, Charmain (sp?) makes scheduling an appointment a breeze! Like Dr. No himself, she's very pleasant. I feel very fortunate that Dr. No is here in Orange County. For $99, he did full digital x-rays, exam, and thorough cleaning. But I got even more -- a peace of mind for now and in the future. (Shame on those other dentists, who tried to use scare tactics to get me to have fillings on teeth that merely had stains. I agonized for the past 8 months, wondering what to do. I'm so glad I held out for Dr. No)! What's more is he is on the faculty of USC and teaches there once a week, so you know he's up on the latest.
