I have come many time to Fumo and it is ok. This time; I came for lunch and it was great. First their lunch deal is great, I ordered the baked ziti with meatballs and it was quite delicious. The lunch special is a steal; the portions are big and the food is good. The service was great the person was very nice and attentive. The place is a great space; you can come with anyone a date; family; colleagues etc. It is a little loud because voices carry but I don't mind that because I know my voice carries. I definitely recommend this lunch special; you will have leftovers.

Had an awesome experience dining here on a Tuesday. We came in 7 deep with a reservation and seated with the swiftness. The spot was bustling! The air was filled with low toned chatter, glass clicking and forks scrapping. Music to my ears. The wine was flowing and plenty of plate sharing going on. Every dish was hitting the spot. I think I'm in love and will return to confirm.

I loved everything I ate here! The funghi pizza was delicious, the dough was soft and chewy. The baby spinach salad was also so good, the pecans were the perfect touch. The service was great, all the servers were so attentive and friendly. The interior feels fancy, with dim candle lighting and intimate seating.

My friend first introduced this place almost a year ago, I typically like to go here for their penne funghi. Today in particular I decided to make a to go order. While eating it tastes like usual until I almost choked on something. I found this mysterious thing in my food, safe to say I'm not coming back again.

Had a great night here, I seen a video of someone getting a lemon drop and immediately wanted to try it. It's alil tight inside, I think because they want to accommodate as many people as possible. Grateful they let us sit at a 4 person table, much more comfortable and enough space For our food and drinks. I got the penne allá vodka dinner and it was delicious, just alil dry so I asked if the chef could give me alil more sauce and surprisingly they did and that made it much better. Hubby got the lobster dish and added meatballs, great addition. They were not stingy on the parm cheese Oh! And the baked clammssssss, get them!!! I seen the salad and it looked delicious, maybe I'll have that next time! I say all that to say, I'll be back to try other things on the menu! Give them a try if your in the neighborhood

I love Fumo as a restaurant! This was my first time going to the Harlem location and it was really good. it was for my best friend's birthday dinner, it was everyone's first time other than myself. Our waitress was really nice, very attentive where she checked on us a good amount but wasn't too attentive. Music is always great, they never miss! Lol we got the fried mozzarella as an app for the table, everyone loved those. I got the penne al la vodka, which is my favorite from Fumo! Ugh so good!! I did have the watermelon margarita, which was also delicious, with a sugar rim of course. we got a brownie for my best friend's birthday and she loved it! So obviously I will be back pretty usual lol always a great time at Fumo.

I've been to Fumo three times so far and I always get their spaghetti carbonara for their lunch special. It's just so yummy, creamy, and cheesy. I would love to try their vegan pesto spaghetti next time since I should probably branch out and try something different LOL. Service has always been great and there's even a bathroom here! If you dine in, the servers even give you complimentary bread with olive oil for dipping. Personally, I'm not a fan of dipping bread in olive oil but my friend loves it. I also got their cannoli and it was alright, I've had better.

Fumo has some of the best well seasoned food I've almost ever had from an Italian restaurant. Everything I've tried so far has been mouth watering. I have eaten in the establishment and ordered via DoorDash and the quality of food has remained consistent. The decor is cute and clean. The plants add a homey feel. The reason I have given it 3 stars is because of how I saw what I believe to be the restaurant manager treat a new server. He was extremely disrespectful and nasty towards her. He yelled at her in the kitchen which was near where I was sitting and made her cry. It was her first day and she may have just needed more training. Not only was he rude but he also was drinking on the job...probably contributed to his behavior. I truly commend the server for not walking out immediately. Seeing this in real time ruined my friend and I's appetite. The restaurant manager (I believe) does not speak for the entire restaurant but I do firmly believe that staff should be treated fairly and like human beings. The food is delicious but the treatment of staff should improve so create a better experience for everyone.

I came in for lunch on Friday. The Parma pizza was delicious! The prosciutto was very flavorful and played so well with the cheese and truffle oil. My only complaint was that it slid off the pizza crust and was a little messy. My branzino was a beautiful portion accompanied with plenty of sautéed spinach. I snapped some pics of my friend's dishes as well and they all looked great! Service was ok. Ambiance was ok. I did not see inside the restaurant as I only experienced the patio seating. There is a 20% service charge for a party of 7.

Baba Al Rum was also tasty, as was the Orecchiette. Rigatoni was salty, but well-flavored. I visited a popular Italian restaurant from the Union Square Hospitality group with a group of five others. The restaurant is quite large, and although it was somewhat noisy, the tables were spaced apart enough that it was easy to hear everyone. We had an early dinner at 5:45 PM, which took quite a while, but I didn't mind. To drink, I went with the Bitter Giuseppe for $19, with Cynar 45.3, Punt e Mes, lemon, and sea salt. I'm a fan of most Negronis, and this was a particularly bitter version. The bit of lemon and sea salt added a unique but enjoyable flavor at the end, though in retrospect, the salt probably wasn't super necessary. Two of us split, and eventually, a few of us ordered their signature appetizer, the $18 Cast Iron Focaccia, with tomato conserva, a mixture of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and Calabrian chili. The bread was fresh and warm, albeit a tad oily and salty, but it paired wonderfully with the conserva. As someone who doesn't like it when bread is extra, this was delicious and worth it. Another person ordered the $18 Insalata Verde. It was very large, but fairly basic, with a vinaigrette that had a citrusy and mustardy flavor. There was also the Caramelized Onion Torta for $27, which was very large, as expected for the price point. It had a creamy and tangy flavor from the Pecorino Toscano with some sweetness from the onion. It was delicious, but very heavy, and I would recommend that around three or four people split it alongside the focaccia. Finally, there was also the $15 Pizza Bianca, which was easily the smallest of all the plates, but they still enjoyed it. My main dish was the Orecchiette for $26, with ramps, pistachio, and pecorino. Like most of their dishes, the portion size was quite large, with plenty of pasta, which was perfectly cooked. The ramps added a touch of sweetness, although I would have liked a few more nuts. Additionally, there was almost too much pecorino, which made the dish slightly salty, but it was still enjoyable. As a side, I got the $19 Grilled Asparagus with dates, vermouth, and blue cheese, which came with many pieces of lightly charred asparagus. While there was plenty of funky blue cheese, I would have preferred more dates. Two of the others got the Rigatoni Alla Gricia for $30. The portion was large, and I tried a bit while they tried mine. The noodles were again cooked perfectly, and while there was a lot of guanciale, this was easily the saltiest of all the dishes. For dessert, I chose their Baba AU Rum for $18, which was uniquely mixed with chocolate and orange. The presentation was a bit off, as it looked like a certain emoji, but the flavor made up for it. The subtle hint of rum paired with the bitter-sweet chocolate and orange. The dark chocolate-covered orange slice on top was a nice touch as well. Someone else got a tart, and one other person got the Gelati, which resulted in one of the only faults during service. She heard it was two scoops, and ordered espresso stracciatella and hazelnut, but was given two separate orders for $12 each. The gelato was good, but unlike most things, definitely not worth it for the price. I liked the appetizers much more, but I found the food good overall. Tasty dessert, and the portions make up at least a bit for the relatively higher prices.

We started with the housemade focaccia and Wagyu carpaccio--both were outstanding, with the perfect balance of crispy, flavorful, and fresh elements. My partner and I shared the pasta, hangar steak, and potatoes, which turned out to be the ideal amount for two. We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

L'Artusi has been on my radar for a while, ever since I heard it was a hot spot and saw reviews of…read moreit being one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified.
