We were told that the seats that were open were actually reserved for friends of the owner who were coming later. I have loved this place for years but the blatant lie in their reply to the very date and time I had requested for a reservation has permanently changed my "go to" choice for sushi in Lexington, Luckily, we are no longer a city with few options for good sushi. I will be patronizing other sushi restaurants that do not tell customers that the bar is "first come first serve" when they clearly do not keep to that practice.
