Updated review: Landon the owner reached out regarding the job below. He offered to come out and completely redo the work up to my expectations for free. I explained I had already performed some remediation to prevent rodent intrusion which would make accessing the line rather difficult and that although the work wasn't originally completed as I requested, it was functional and in working order. Understanding that reworking the job wouldn't be needed I was offered a a partial refund to adjust the job cost for the work that was actually performed. All in all Landon seems dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction. The 4 star rating is only on account of the original work being not as requested and price still being pretty steep even after the partial refund. Original review: The dispatch staff was hospitable, concerned, acknowledging and responsive. 5 stars! The plumber dispatched was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. 5 stars! Pricing was high. I needed a 3 foot piece of pex replaced from my main supply line to my hot water heater. No diagnostic, no inspection. A literal 20 minute job. It required a pex expanding tool that I do not currently own. (Will be buying shortly). I wanted the whole line replaced from the supply to joint at the heater. I had some trouble removing the old line so called for help. Instead of removing the old line, the plumber simply cut the line and placed a partial with two new expansion sleeves on the existing line. I feel so lucky to have found Landon and his company! We were alerted by the water company of extremely-high use. I called on a Thursday at 3:15pm and Yvette helped us immediately. We had someone out within 45 minutes to help us assess the problem. Little did we know that we had Landon himself to help us out! I ABSOLUTELY recommend these guys! I got estimates for re-plumbing my house and putting in a new main from several plumbers a couple years ago. I decided then that I would have ServicePlus Plumbing do the project, but it took me a couple years to get my act together. About the same time I was ready to make arrangements, my water heater started leaking. I called ServicePlus (on a weekend!) and Landon came out that evening in case there was something that needed to be done right away if there was water damage. There wasn't water damage yet, but he did a thorough re-check of the rest of the house, and gave me an updated estimate, which was ridiculously close to the original estimate. I was headed out of town, and Landon came out and turned off my water after I left, then came and turned it back on before I got back, just to make sure nothing further happened with the water heater (they had already shut it off) while I was gone. They started the work shortly after I got back. Joel came and took out the water heater, and also took out the 20-year old washer and dryer that had been crammed in my tiny laundry room. He did the replumbing in the laundry room, then he and Chris started on all the plumbing in the crawl space. Landon arranged for me to have time to have someone come in and put new flooring in the laundry room (it was pretty gross when the little room was empty), and I painted the room. I really appreciated that Landon arranged their schedule so I could get in and do that before the new water heater went in (it probably meant they had to make an extra trip out to my house). After they replumbed the rest of the house and put in the main, they put in the new water heater. Throughout the process, on the few occasions that Landon was unavailable when I called him, he called right back. He was wonderfully responsive! They did several extra things along the way, and Landon, Joel and Chris were GREAT to work with. They also patiently answered all my questions. There were several challenges with the tiny laundry room and with the fact that I like to be able to use timers on my faucets in the summer if I go out of town. We came home from a vacation to a $535 water bill. Obviously, we had a major water leak. After the panic subsided, we called some plumbing companies. Service Plus was in line with the other low bidder and was able to start in a couple of days. We are SO HAPPY that we went with them. Landon is the owner of the company and personally performed and oversaw the work. When he heard we had shut off our water he insisted on coming out right away to get a temporary water supply (even though we told him we were ok with flushing toilets witj buckets of water :-) ). I have had 3 very positive experiences with Service Plus. During a recent freeze my old galvanized pipes did not fare well. One burst in my garage and later they discovered another damaged pipe in the crawl space. Service Plus plumbing replaced the original pipes on my 100 year old house quickly and efficiently. I had originally called them because the kitchen sink, dishwasher and disposal were all plugged up. When they came out the first time, they let me know the pipes really needed to be replaced in order to fix the problem. All of our outside hose taps were leaking bucketfuls when attached to a hose. Aleks carefully explained the need for backflow prevention and frost protection. (Our taps had probably frozen, breaking the backflow valve and causing it to run continuously when the water was turned on.) He installed three taps, including a trip to the store to get another one. They now work just fine without leaking, so we can water the dry spots in the yard without making a huge mud puddle. He gave us a fixed estimate and did the work the same day. I have used Service Plus Plumping twice and I highly recommend them. Their pricing is reasonable I was impressed with the service the first time with a blocked a sewer line in 2020, and called them again for a broken water line in 2022. Each time they made accommodations so that I was able use my water and sewer line until they were repaired. I had had new sod laid and was concerned about tearing it up. They took up only a small amount around the area of the water meter to dig a hole to access the line. The line was replaced under the lawn, under the garage floor, and into the crawl space under the house with equipment that fed the line without tearing anything up. They could have just replaced the line to the shut valve, but made me awake the material of the 36 year old line could break under the house. There grass sod was put back in place. An area of my aggregate driveway was taken up with the sewer line repair, and then an area in the garage around the shut-off valve with the water line repair. The cement repairs were excellent. My neighbor has his water line repaired the year before and I KNOW that I chose the best company for the repair. The neighbor asked for their card. read more

I've altered my original rating of 2 stars, after Landon (owner of Service Plus) contacted me about my review. He explained at length about various overhead costs contributing to plumbing costs (health insurance for employees, permits, etc.). Landon did end up providing us a 10% Senior discount. While the total cost still seems like a lot to us, since we did not get multiple bids on this project, we don't know how much another plumber might have charged. 3/11/2023 Cost of this minor plumbing repair was exorbitant!! We were charged $1,127 for work that took only 1.5 hours. Cost of parts should have been no more than $258 (faucet @ $208, two stop valves $30 max, basket strainer $20). So that means either they charged Labor @ $579/hr or they more than tripled the price of the parts. read more

Joseph cleared our kitchen drainage which was tricky because the drain line is about 60 feet from the kitchen sink to the sewer line, much longer than most. Joseph was Very professional, showed up on time with the right equipment, focused and cleaned up. Fee was in line with the work and about what I expected. Their website makes it easy to contact them and they do text and/or call you back. The big snow on February 24 caused an initial delay in connecting but that was to be expected. He came out to the house to assess the problem, discussed the issue with me, offered a quote and set up an appointment while still at my house. If time is money and time is precious Landon saved me both! After doing my due diligence and getting several bids for a major water leak, Landon was the only one that took the time to explain my options. My leak was going to cost me thousands and thousands. My water line is 300' from the street meter to my house and buried along side boulders the size of cars and all the utilities.
