Just returned from an extended weekend stay at Bailey's Grove Campground. This was our first visit…read morehere. The staff was very kind and helpful both prior to and during our stay. The site we stayed in was 111. We were able to fit a class A motor home, boat and truck on the site with room in the back of the site for hammocks, a fire and picnic table. You are not able to have mats outside your camper on the grass which did cause a little extra dirt inside the camper but nothing too major. The grounds were well maintained. The kids enjoyed the pool and the indoor facility with game room, workout rooms and pickle all courts. We did walk to town which was not bad but it is along a busy county road without sidewalks. They also have a nice dog park area that our two dogs enjoyed. The main office brews delicious coffee daily which was so nice to have after a morning walk. Thanks for the great stay!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the grounds were well-maintained, and everything felt clean and cared for. One thing we really appreciated was how each campsite felt private, even though there were other campers nearby. It created a relaxing atmosphere without feeling crowded. Whether you're camping as a family, with pets, or just looking for a peaceful getaway, Wagon Trail Campground is a fantastic choice. The only thing I was a little not sure about were the quiet hours from 10 pm - 8 am, and I guess moreso the fact that when we checked in the lady made a point to tell me that that also applied to small children, which I get, but also, don't have that much control over? Our kids got up at 6:30 everyday so we left the campground for awhile and came back at 8 to start our day - worked out fine, though! We'll definitely be back.

This is a great park for finding some peace and quiet in nature including no cell service in much of the park. I mean the SOS function will still work if an emergency arose, but there will be no incoming texts or notifications to detract from the birds and sounds of the waves. All of the trails are lovely here and they're all easy so no worries if you're not a seasoned hiker. We saw some mergansers on the lake during this visit and, as usual, lots of garter snakes which are fun to watch. We usually bring a picnic lunch to enjoy by the beach after a morning of hiking and never have trouble getting a table. Pro tip: there are flush toilets in the visitor center!

Anyway, here are the details and key points to consider: 1) This is close enough to everything, without being in the middle of crowded spaces and sites. 2) Most sites have water and electricity if you want it. 3) It's peaceful and has designated quiet hours after 11pm. 4) Pet friendly (on leashes) 5) HOT showers on-site, plumbing, and a laundry room if you need it. 6) The office has several convenience items if you need it. This is not the place for you if you want to be ultra-rugged and in seclusion, but is perfect for a campfire getaway with some minor creature comforts.

They have completely rebuilt the fire tower adding an accessible ramp. While we are able to climb stairs, we enjoyed the ramp a great deal. I'm not a huge fan of open stairs and found this wide ramp that is intended for both wheelchair users and walkers to be a very pleasant way to reach the viewing platform and return to ground level. The view from the top is amazing on a clear day. We also walked part of the sunset bike trail as an out and back which was lovely. We started at the beach, headed toward the lighthouse and continued on to the bluffs/cliffs before turning around. It was about 6 miles round trip and had lots of wildflowers and beaches along the way. This is a great trail for anyone who doesn't want to navigate a lot of tree roots or rocks. Other updates: The lighthouse is being refurbished and is scheduled to reopen later in June 2026. There are now food trucks near the beach if you don't feel like bringing a picnic lunch!

This is a review of the park of someone who went there on a rainy day to see some spots but did not…read morecamp or spend a lot of time. To access the park, you have to pay a vehicle admission pass at the visitor center. Daily pass for out-of-state plates is $16. The rates are different for Wisconsin plates and senior citizens. 12-month pass is available as well. The small gift shop in the visitor center has magnets, stickers, paper weights, shirts, etc. There are also comfort rooms inside. It was raining when we visited. The rain stopped for a bit and we were able to see Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. We weren't able to go in the lighthouse because it was still early and not yet open. It was okay from the outside. We also went to see the Eagle Tower. Since it was raining and dark clouds were all over, we did not see the nice view that this spot is known for.

Also cleaning the bathroom because the north bath house was supposed to be cleaned and it looks like it was never touched for days!! Like there was shit on the walls more then 2 days!! We were there July 18-20th of 2025 and the water slides have not been operating all summer. It's understandable if the unexpected happens, but for them to knowingly charge for something that isn't available and not informing guests prior to arriving at the pool to use the water slides feels shady.
