Andres took a lot of time educating us on the new styles of flooring. When we went to his store in SanJuan Capistrano where we met his wife Natalia she was so helpful in working with us to find what we wanted. I cannot express how impressed I have been with AR Paints and Flooring. From the moment I met Andres I knew I had found the perfect source for my home improvements. He literally transformed my entire home. The whole house needed updating and I can't believe my luck In finding Andres. He coordinated every stage of my remodel. Andres and his team did demo and replaced my wood floors and I am so pleased with the result. They made my floor look like a million bucks! Andres is a phenomenal person - highly responsive, way more than fair in his pricing and values your business and your satisfaction. I can't say enough for how he ensured the work was done right and he has a great team in Morales and Gustavo. What really impressed me was about a month after they installed the floor, I called Andres to report some buckling under the refrigerator. Within a few days he had Morales back to look at it and they replaced the damaged section EVEN if it was not something they caused (my ice maker apparently leaked that water over time). Now where on this planet can you find service and response like this? I have not met anyone like Andres in all the remodeling of homes that I've done. He has an interior design background and spent some time in my home to give me ideas about other projects I had going on (not involving floors). I wish I had known him five houses ago!!! Andres and his team worked on a home for me a couple years ago in Ladera Ranch. I have worked with many contractors in the past and after finding Andres, I now know someone I will always depend on for any contractor needs. Andres and his wife operate an honest business and stand by their work. I had so-called "luxury" vinyl glue-down flooring installed in my bedrooms last summer. I wanted pet-friendly flooring that would withstand a beating. I waited to write a review until I had an opportunity to see how the product performed. The flooring separated in several places by 1-2mm. Otherwise, it has held up well and still looks like new. Andres replaced the separated tiles without additional labor charges, despite the fact that the manufacturer stated that this is normal and it was not caused by defective installation. Because tile movement is normal with this product on a concrete slab, I would not recommend the glue-down vinyl flooring. I will, however, recommend AR Paints & Flooring for purchase and installation of other products. His staff is friendly, reliable and clean. They made and installed nice looking, custom transitions from the vinyl to the 3/4" cherry wood flooring in hallways, made from pieces of the wood flooring. They did good work, and best of all, Andres stands by his word. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. We had a plumbing leak and Andres was recommended to us by our general contractor for new floors. Every step of the way he has been immediately responsive and super helpful. He brought over lots of samples and spent about 90 minutes with us during his first visit as we discussed options. He recommended what he thought would look best in our house but totally respected our final decision as to what we wanted. The installation crew was really great - I was home from work the day they were here and they worked tirelessly, did an excellent job, completely cleaned up at the end of the day. The floors look beautiful. I had a couple of questions after the installation - in particular, I texted him to let him know that there was a small unfinished strip under a closet door, and 15 minutes after I texted him he was at the front door to have a look at it! (BTW it was the fault of the painting crew and not something that Andres's company did wrong...nevertheless he assured us he would fix it if the painting crew did not.) When I came on Yelp to write this review I see that several others have posted recent reviews which means that he was juggling several jobs at once but really he treated us as if we were his top priority and his only customer.
