We got the mixed appetizer platter, lamb ouzi, shish taouk, shawarma loaded fries, and beef shawarma. The mixed appetizer platter included hummus, baba ghanoush, dolma, fattoush, and falafel. The hummas was smooth and slightly sweet. It was covered in dill and sumac. I have had better but it was a really solid hummas. The baba ghanoush was smokey and not as smooth. It was really good! Dolma is a rice, herbs, and tomatoes leaf wrapped dish. I like it a lot! It was soft and tender! There was pomegranate molasses on top which was tart and helped cut the earthiness of the herbs! Fattoush was a salad that was sweet, sour, and refreshing! It contained romaine lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and herbs! The falafel was good! Crispy and herby and paired really well with the hummus! I will say though they were slightly raw in the middle. The lamb ouzi was well worth the price! The rice was fragrant and spiced! The raisins were a perfect addition. The almonds added an interesting texture and taste. The lamb shank was tender and falling on the bone. It wasn't too gamey. It was a bit spicy but in a pleasurable way and not intolerable. It came with a side soup that was tomato based and too spicy for me, but the texture was nice and thick. Shish taouk was probably the best dish in my opinion! The fries were crunchy and warm. There were red onions, sumac, and parsley in the wrap! The meat was juicy and flavorful! Still it had a bit of spice! Shawarma loaded fries were good but simply too spicy for our party. They were crispy and covered in garlic sauce, pickles, cheese, and chili sauce. We did find the chicken was a bit too dry but the sauce did help balance that. The beef shawarma was too hot for the member who ordered it. I will say though that I did enjoy it. The meat wasn't as tender as we liked, it was sliced as thin as I liked. And the spice built up until it was too much. I will mention though if you're not used to spice and spicy food then maybe this isn't for you. Another member also mentioned the meat wasn't as charred as she liked. We got the Turkish coffee which I have to say isn't for a casual coffee drinker. It is akin to sucking on a coffee bean. The tea was unsweeted and I'm not sure if they is an option to sweeten, but it was refreshing. The vitmo was the best drink by far. We actually got more to go. It is similar to a cherry cola! It was fizzy and delicious! Service was great! Our server managed to memorize our order and get our order in a reasonable time with no mistakes. The ambience was warm, inviting, clean, and there was nice music in the background that wasn't too loud. The portions were well worth the price! I got a whole lamb shank for 20 bucks! read more

I liked them when my son brought home a take out from here last year, but I will tell you, the food when you dine in there is twice as better. It is all just so fresh and bright when it's brought out. The flavors are very subtle, and if anyone was timid about trying it, they shouldn't be. You should have seen my guy's eyes when they brought out the lamb shank. If you think it looks big in my pic, I can assure your there is another half of it in the wonderful rice. Food was so flavorful. I got the lamb and it was falling off the bone. I also enjoyed the rice with all the extras. The nuts give it a nice crunchy texture. It came with a tomato sauce. I'm not sure what all was in it, but I liked it enough to pour the whole thing into my rice. Got the pistachio baklava. Yum! You can tell it was made fresh. They're good. I will say it seems they're keeping things gringo for the Spokane palate, and that's a safe path to start your business here--for now. I have a son who is a mutton junkie, and this QSR is the only place around here I know that you can walk in to and grab a Lamb Shank lunch on demand. He cleaned his bone, haha. The only thing I was not familiar with was their 'savory pastry,' which are essentially a take on a pizza-like creation, that your kid might like. Again, adding a gringo-ish menu item for an alternate option from the main fare. Have visited this restaurant three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The lamb ouzi was exceptional. All four of us loved our dinners. Second time I had the beef kebab. It was extremely well spiced and I enjoyed every bite. We went back a third time and left a little disappointed. My daughter ordered a chicken shawarma. It was very nice but a bit bland. We were puzzled until we saw that it was supposed to have come with tzaziki sause. We asked the server for some and after a couple minutes she returned and said they were out. Secondly I had the lamb ouzi again. The lamb was fantastic! Unfortunately, the rice was kind of monotonous. Not bland but missing something... After some research, we realized it was at least missing raisins. Not sure if it was missing anything else but disappointing. Not to say this is a bad place. Service was great. The building and bathroom were very clean. Easy parking. Will go back and see if I can raise this to at least a 4 star review. I will definitely return! read more

I tried a variety of dishes from different sections of the menu, which is a great way to explore the flavors and offerings of a restaurant. I was thrilled to enjoy everything I tried, from the kibbeh and chicken shawarma to the lamb ouzi and sweet treats like knafeh and pistachio baklava. The aryan yogurt drink was a nice touch, too! Having more halal food options in Spokane is definitely something for me to celebrate. I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu items soon. The food is ok, but not worth the price nor a recommendation. The baklava was probably the worst I've ever had, all I could taste was butter. Yuck. Experience: I waited almost 30 minutes for a wrap and lamb plate with an order of fries and my food sat on the counter ready to go, but they were understaffed, so the food just sat there for about 5-10 minutes unattended. I ordered directly off of their menu and found out that the fries they advertise with garlic sauce apparently doesn't actually come with the order! Overall: What I paid for, that is displayed on the menu, should be the food that's provided. I was told, "Oh, I don't know why it's on the menu that garlic sauce is included" What?? Change your menu before you take people's money! That's bad customer service. I know Spokane needs more diverse food, but until they up their game, a hard pass on a revisit. read more

We shared the Chicken Ouzi, with a combination appetizer plate. First, the appetizer plate was excellent! Hummus, salad, Baba Ghanoush,, Dolma, Kibbeh. Fresh, hot Peta bread. This by itself was full of flavors and variety. The Chicken Ouzi was over the top for two people. The rice was so good, and the spicy sauce added another element of crunchy vegetables and flavor. It was less than stellar. The dolmas were very plain and then topped with a brown tart sauce. That's all I could taste, when I tried a piece without the sauce it was bland. The inside is just rice. Was hoping for more flavor/authentic dolmas. The chicken shwarma was okay. I liked it, but nothing too special. Prices were a bit high. Took some time to get service. The server was friendly at first but then not too attentive. It's a family run business, I see the mom working in the back, guessing her son was the server. I want to support them. Hands down the BEST falafel I've ever had and I've had a lot of falafel. I actually stopped ordering falafel from anywhere else because I'm always disappointed. This is crispy and moist at the same time. The Middle Eastern basmati saffron rice is amazing. Their salad is simple, yet so delicious. The dressing is perfect, parsley, green onions, and fresh greens with tomatoes and cucumbers. Perfection. The food is absolutely amazing! The rice was perfect, melts in your mouth with tasty almonds. The flatbread is freshly made, you can taste that fresh dough taste!!! The chicken Kabobs were juicy and tender. The food is so flavorful but not overbearing. I am a connoisseur of Middle Eastern food, from my travels and I live in Southern California near "Little Arabia" community in Anaheim. I have had the best of the best. Delicious, authentic middle eastern food in nice portions. We had chicken shwarma bowl and lamb ouzi, a side a zatar, and a side of babaganoush. All were 5 star and rock-solid authentic. The lamb was tender and falling off the bone, served on a bed of possibly the most delicious rice medley I've had in years. The garlic sauce lightly applied to the chicken was a perfect complement. The babaganoush was a standout... just the right amount of spices and a warm smoky flavor, and served with a huge actual pita made on the spot and served warm. It's a very nice touch they served the Ayran (a cool yogurt drink perfect for this type of food) with a chilled cup. The friendly and helpful server was notable as well. read more

Arabian Palace catered our wedding and did an AMAZING job! From the start, they met with us to discuss what we were hoping for and our budget, as well as any dietary restrictions. Maher and the rest of the staff were so kind, thoughtful, communicative, and honest with us. They were also extremely flexible in terms of timing and set up for the event. The food: INCREDIBLE. We had their chicken ouzi, falafel, fattoush salad, pita with hummus and baba ganoush, and the knafeh for dessert. All were so so so much better than the other caterer's food we had tried. So many people at our wedding were impressed with the food, went back for seconds or thirds, and commented on how tasty it was multiple times. We had 80 people at our wedding but there was easily enough food for 100+. This is a family-run business started by refugees from Syria who have worked to be able to start their own restaurant in Spokane. I have been here several times with a friend for lunch and found it to be delicious. Friendly service and exceptional clean restaurant. Then I brought 10 people for dinner one night making reservations ahead. The staff treated us like royalty. My friends all loved it and no one even complained about no liquor. The food was amazing, tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection. I happen to crave their lamb shanks and rice so much I have been known to drive clear across town to get them to go. One more thing I want to add, The Baklava they make fresh is the best any of us has ever had. Flaky and not overly sweet, it was the perfect touch to our large party to take home after a wonderful meal. I understand they also do catering for large parties and receptions.
