    butternut squash agnolotti
    Meilee A.

I had dinner at Italia Trattoria on a Friday night and was glad we arrived early. We got seated right away without a reservation, but the place filled up fast. Parking is street parking only, and it gets tight once the restaurant gets busy. The atmosphere started out quiet but quickly turned lively as the night went on. The space feels clean, cozy, and homey, a good mix of casual and upscale without feeling stuffy. Service was excellent. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly, professional, and perfectly timed, attentive without hovering or rushing us. For food, I ordered the Brussels sprouts with jalapeno, ham, and parmesan, also had the butternut squash agnolotti with sage butter. The agnolotti was well made and rich, though a touch on the sweet side for my taste. The Brussels sprouts were fine, but the mild jalapenos caught me off guard. My friend had the chicory salad and really enjoyed it. In hindsight, I wished I had gone with something a little lighter too. Overall, it was a good meal with warm service and a comfortable atmosphere. I would go back, but next time I would explore another item on the menu.

Every bite from this dinner is still living rent-free in my head. That focaccia? Fluffy perfection. The octopus salad? Bright, refreshing, and full of flavor. The rosé? Summer in a glass. Fabulous service. I love that open-air GarageDoor atmosphere. What I Ordered at Italia Trattoria: * Focaccia Bread with olive oil & balsamic * Charred Octopus Salad - citrus, fennel, herbs (would 100% order again) * Panzanella Salad - heirloom tomatoes, focaccia croutons, shaved parmesan * Gnocchi alla Sorrentina - tender potato gnocchi in rich tomato sauce * Spaghetti & Meatballs - classic comfort done right * Grilled Lamb Tongue - with tzatziki, heirloom tomato, and olives * Tiramisu - whipped, airy, chocolate-dusted perfection. * La Jolie Fleur Rosé (2022) - light, elegant, and summery * Lucien Albrecht Crémant Rosé - crisp, floral, and beautifully chilled Their menu is a gem for adventurous food lovers -- think boar, lamb tongue, and octopus done right. Unexpected cuts, unforgettable flavor.

Very cozy Italian spot! Classic cocktails were great (loved the Bees Knees) and staff was friendly and efficient. Ordered the lamb ragu and the fresh pasta was amazing, but although the meat was tender it tasted more like pot roast than lamb. Did however enjoy the spicy squid ink pasta and the goat cheese ravioli much more. Fried misto and charred octopus were fresh and flavorful apps.

My best friend and I are so glad that we got to get a couple of seats at the bar during dinner rush! But probably pro tip ... get reservations ... because this place was busy on a Saturday night. Even with the business, the staff from the friendly host to the amazing owner Beth to our waitress Mayra we received such a warm welcome. Have you ever felt that a restaurant was where you needed to be that night? Well Italia Tratorria was that for us! It was a warm and cozy spot that you can tell had both locals and tourists alike. And the food did not disappoint. The Italia Caesar Salad we had was perfectly dressed but the star was the anchovies as it added UMAMI! Find you a bff that is willing to switch plates halfway through the meal so you can enjoy two entrees vs 1. The broth or would you call it sauce to the squid ink was great! They definitely did not skimp out on the shrimp and squid. Pasta was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The wild boar was a different entree where I would have not been able to tell it was boar. It was deep in flavor. Though we were full we saved room for dessert. The tiramisu was calling our name. The crème was light and not overpoweringly sweet. The coffee flavor came out through nicely. And I am sucker for affogato and their espresso was nice with the ice cream. Food. Amazing. Ambiance. Fantastic. The people ... top notch! What's cool to sit at the bar was to see how the entire staff did everything. Not only did they take your orders but they were whipping up the drinks. Then serving the food and busting tables. They definitely were well choreographed. Definitely a place to come back to!

The food is amazing, especially the house made pasta. It is perfectly seasoned and the presentation is spectacular using local handcrafted dinnerware.

Cute quaint and absolutely amazing place for Italian. Pasta is hand made and delicious our server was attentive and very friendly and found out on our way out she has been serving since they opened 15yrs ago so it's obviously a great place to work as well as dine. Hands down would go back for dinner.

It was okay. 3 stars because the cocktails were delicious, and the presentations are very nice. But they have the smallest menu I've ever seen. And everything on the menu is weird. I'm fine with the weird things but an Italian place that has no basic pasta with sauce is insane. Everything is extremely overpriced. Not to mention the menu says if you have a party of over 6 they will add a 20% charge on the bill. And you can't walk in you have to make reservation. The service wasn't that great either the waitress was alright but definitely not making the price of everything worth it. And the food I chose wasn't very flavorful it was watered down. The building is also tiny and dirty. It looks unfinished and like they would have rats.

The food here is amazing. Came here in the summer and sat on the patio and it was so nice! The service was great, everyone is so friendly and the interior is gorgeous. Highly recommend for an elevated date night spot in Spokane!

Went to brunch w our son a senior at Gonzaga a few weeks before graduation. Trying to do all the things he wanted us to do before leaving. Brunch options were excellent. I got the Chanterelle Toast. Eggs poached perfectly. My son had the Miss Piggy Sandwich which isn't your typical pulled pork sandwich. More like an Italian beef sandwich that my mother used to make. Delicious. Staff was friendly and reservations were easy to make online.

My friend and I tried Italia Trattoria Spokane tonight. We had reservations, which I would highly recommend. The place isn't large and the draw is huge. We tried Pomegranate Bellini's, Chicken Piccata, and Kurobuta Pork Chop. We were far too full to look at desserts. Everything was delicious and we would definitely come here again.

Our Sunday breakfast was delightful! Make sure you book a reservation. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, however, it is a small space. This place is both relaxed and full of Italian charm! Our waitress was wonderful and had great recommendations. You can definitely tell the food is fresh and they take pride in their dishes by using quality ingredients. We started with the tiramisu coffee! The presentation was so cute! The Italian breakfast was cooked perfectly and the Italian sausage had plenty of flavor. The baked eggs were amazing! Loved the poached eggs and the sauce was savory! I ordered the peaches and cream turnover due to our waitress's recommendation and so glad I did. The pastry was light and so flaky! The cream and peaches filling gave it the perfect sweetness. The zeppole doughnuts were also light and sponge like! The maple cream was creamy yet airy with a well balanced flavor. Finished my breakfast with a refreshing aperol spritz. I wish we would have had more time for a second visit to try their dinner.

You could easily (and maybe have...) walk past it and not even know. I found my way in and was faced with a dark room and a wonderfully lit display of liquors. They infuse many of their own and offer flights of infused whiskeys. The drink menu has options that feature many different spirits. I chose a gin and citrus drink that was a wonderful blend of bitter and refreshing. I made myself sip it slowly, but it was tasty enough that I could have thrown it back. The bar tender was friendly and attentive, as well as knowledgeable. The room seemed to be recovering from the recent Hoopfest...there were coolers and some things in the back of the space. There were also a LOT of bottles on the counter behind the bar. I don't know if it is always like this, but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back for the drink and to show it off to friends.

Most recently, on a Friday evening around 7 PM, my party was seated near the end of the bar by the restroom area. A server approached me in a confrontational manner and told me to move my chair because it was blocking the walkway. I immediately complied and moved it where he directed. Despite that, he repeatedly pushed and squeezed past the chair in an aggressive way several times afterward and then returned to confront me about it again. The interaction felt hostile, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. On a previous visit, a female server was rude and controlling toward our table, and on another occasion when we were unhappy with a menu item, the response was essentially, "You ordered it, you pay for it," with no attempt to address the concern professionally. The atmosphere is great, which is why we've continued to come back. However, after several visits involving rude and confrontational interactions with staff, it feels more like an ongoing culture issue than a one-time bad experience. I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect basic courtesy and respect. Hopefully management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the customer experience.

I liked how even though the place was small, the mixologist wasn't in our face and he paid attention to what he was doing, taking care with our orders. They have a nicely stocked bar with more options across the board than I would expect. But the reason this gem shines is because of their creative and delicious drink menu. I highly recommend trying it, especially if you enjoy trying drinks you can't get anywhere else that are made with quality ingredients and perfectly mixed flavors. Even if you aren't an adventurous drinker, I think you'll find something that will appeal (although I'm sure they can make a delicious version of your favorite drink). I write this because I'm super basic about the cocktails I like and rarely venture out of my comfort zone, until something sounds good. I don't like brandy, never heard of peacorn (peach and corn) syrup, but the Peacorn Sour called to me, and it was soooo worth it. I also tasted S's cocktail, though I've forgotten the name, and it had bourbon, which I don't like on its own at all, and I thought it was good. Not drink an entire one on my own good, but if I liked bourbon, this would be fantastic! good. (S confirmed the quality.) We'll be going back, and I'll look forward to whatever new delights they have to offer.
