My friend and I wanted to co-work from Arabica since it was convenient to where we wanted to be after. There's only six window bar seats (three on each side) and they were taken, so we sat on the plushy couches. Not bad for an hour or two of work, but definitely not comfortable for anything longer than that. ICED KYOTO LATTE (12 OZ) - 6.75 The latte was creamy and lightly sweet, easy to sip on throughout my time working at the cafe. It is pretty pricy, but I'd still recommend. There's not a lot of seating at this location, but better than a lot of other NYC coffee shops I've seen. read more

quite busy but service was still timely! we were lucky to have such a sweet lady take our orders during our visit. Lattes were good as we got our usual Kyoto and Spanish lattes. Lots of people hanging out so can be crowded but generally they dont linger excessively long it seems. We appreciate the gender neutral restrooms and that there is also a sink outside so if you only need to wash your hands you dont hold up the line. read more

The barista was very nice and there was no line so I quickly got my coffee. The Kyoto latte is definitely worth trying. The coffee shop had two couches and some bar seating but no chairs outside. There was also merchandise that you could purchase. They also had a bathroom so that was a nice added bonus. I definitely will recommend this place to people read more

If you tried the OG one in Japan this doesn't do it justice. There is something different about it BUT compared to the Cali % Arabica this one is much much much better. We still bought beans!!! If you're looking for a cup of strong coffee, this is the place. I had this place saved for many months and I was so excited to finally try it. It did not disappoint. We happened to stop by during an event, where they had music and sample sips. I have an espresso machine at home and try not to buy simple drinks I can replicate at home. However, when I tried a sip of their Iced Americano, I knew this would be the only place I'd buy an Americano outside. It was the best I've ever had. I ordered an Iced Kyoto Latte. It was good, but I was so surprised by the Americano that the Americano overshadowed it. The space felt really clean and minimalistic. While there isn't a lot of seating, the set up had a casual lounge feel. Chic, minimalist type of coffee spot located on Prince Street. They specialize in Kyoto style lattes, but I had a night of no sleep and needed something strong AF, so I opted for an americano with an extra shot of espresso. Hot damn did it do the trick. I feel wide awake after drinking this thing. It was delicious and smooth, definitely high quality espresso used here. This spot was fairly busy when I came in around 11 am, with most folks taking their coffees to go but a few remaining to do some work. The service was quick despite there being a bit of a line. I was also starving and decided to treat myself to a croissant which was crispy, light, airy - everything you could want in a croissant. Prices are not wallet friendly but are standard for the area. I love the simplicity of their decor. It makes you focus more on the coffee, which has been really good. I keep wanting to try the other coffees but keep defaulting to the Kyoto latte, which I love and also seems to be a big crowd favorite. I promise to try something different on my next visit, because I will definitely be back! Opted on the cold brew in the bottle with a screw top so I could toss it in my bag lol still leaked but when I say I loved the taste of this coffee. I will stop here everytime I visit New York City. I want to compliment the bathroom first as well as a huge double sink outside of the bathroom so everyone can use and wash their hands between shopping and getting coffee! I didn't utilize it but they do have a toto toilet to use lol I got a matcha latte (super flavorful, will probably ask for extra hot next visit) and the barista took the time to create a pretty art on it :) which I appreciate! Line was pretty long when I got there but it was a sunny nice Saturday afternoon! Def be back to try other drinks! read more

I would give this place a solid 3.5. Lowkey my fault because my expectations for the Spanish latte were too high. I was expecting it to taste like the Spanish lattes I had in the middle east. However, this was a different take on it and my reaction was "oh-". Coffee was lowkey watery too. I love the branding and the minimalism though! 3.5 stars, bumping to 4 because of the accessible bathroom (a hot commodity). I've been to %Arabica in Asia -- unfortunately this location isn't as good. The interior attempts to mimc the bright, almost sterile white that other international locations have. However, it unfortunately has the opposite effect and highlights the dirt that's tracked in from the streets of New York. There were flies buzzing around in the seating area as well. The coffee itself is not bad. There is something for everyone, and each of their custom drinks have differing levels of sweetness. The baristas are friendly and willing to walk you through the menu. read more

While there are a plethora of artisanal coffee shops in LES, %Arabica offers coffee that you won't find anywhere else such as their signature Kyoto Latte. My friend and I arrived on an early Saturday afternoon and it was already crowded. All the sofa seats and comfy stools were occupied leaving my friend and I to people watch on the high seats facing the street. The modern minimalist backdrop was the perfect set for a girl's gossip session. While my friend saved us some seats, I got on a short line that moved fast. Service is friendly and quick. Thankfully we came earlier because the line got longer later in the day. Taste-wise, both lattes were a bit sweeter than our preference but we could still taste the nutty and floral notes of the espresso. The iced Kyoto Latte was sweeter but was more refreshing compared to the cozy aromatic notes of the hot latte. These lattes are definitely different from what is offered at other cafes and justifies the high price tag. The Kyoto Latte satisfied my outside coffee craving and I wanna come back and try the dark latte. There is also the original Brooklyn location which I wouldn't mind going to. Definitely a solid cup of coffee. read more

Loved the quality coffee and minimalistic aesthetics! If you like your drinks a little sweet, I'd recommend the Spanish latte, but be sure to mix it! The espresso and milk favors were both present but didn't overshadow each other. Appreciated the hint of vanilla and sugar but I didn't mix it very well, so it was concentrated at the bottom. Kyoto latte was very aromatic and was a lighter espresso blend. Service was great!! They were very smiley and thanked customers for waiting in line. They gave us extra stamps on our loyalty card for being patient. The store itself was also spacious. They had largely couch area for people to sit/talk, as well as some bar stool areas where people focus on their work. Lighting was also good! read more

Came here on a saturday night to take a shopping break and it was quite busy. I initially wanted the matcha latte but they were unfortunately sold out. I am not a huge coffee lover and decided to try the kyoto latte. It was surprisingly really good and that is coming from someone who doesnt like coffee!!! Super cool and sceney coffee shop - I ordered a matcha water (heard great reviews on their matcha) and they told me they don't do matcha water...only served with milk and milk alternatives. As someone who can't have milk alternatives- especially not actual milk- felt disappointed that I couldn't get my matcha fix here. Got an iced espresso. It was great. Won't go back here. read more

Finally! A location in Manhattan! % Arabica has been on my radar since they opened in DUMBO. As I walked to the train from a nearby workout studio, I was pleasantly surprised to come across % Arabica, opening only a few weeks ago on Prince just west of Bowery. While there was a short line both before and after me, the baristas and cashiers were quick to assist yet didn't make anyone feel rushed. I got my regular at any coffeeshop: iced oat milk latte. The espresso was smooth and the balance of oat milk was perfect, making for a slightly darker latte (it's perfect for me, anyway). They've got a few pastries, but also a soft serve machine for affogatos (espresso and ice cream)! I wish more places had this lol. It wasn't working at the time of my visit, but I'd definitely come back for that if I was nearby, as it's one of my favorite simple treats. With plenty of seating, perfect for being in Soho, definitely worth popping by for a visit. read more

I came on a Friday morning around 11am so I was able to get a seat but it definitely gets busy with people working on their laptops or just hanging out. Ordered the matcha latte and I had such high hopes after reading all the reviews and knowing this is a popular Japanese coffee shop with locations all around the world. But I would give the matcha latte a 7/10 - since there was settling at the bottom meaning it wasn't whisked properly or long enough. Otherwise, it was earthy and comes unsweetened but they have sugar and simple syrup on hand for you to sweeten your drinks. A bit pricey though at $7-8 for a 12oz matcha latte with almond milk. I know others have had more positive experiences with the matcha from here so I just hope it was a one-off thing with mine. Maybe I'll come back to try their coffee (since it's what they're most known for) but I would reconsider getting a matcha here. read more

The interior itself is antique, quaint, and there's minimal (but some!) seating for you to enjoy your tea at. One of my favorite parts of this shop is that their tea menu is all around the shop, right on their walls. So, you walk around the shop, look at the different teas (organized by type, caffinated/non-caffinated), smell them, and read the labels. I had a lot of fun doing this! Their prices are good and their teas are amazing. Definitely a cool experience!

I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
