Beautiful new Persian restaurant in the Valley! My family decided to try out Ayvana over the weekend and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our server was Neda and she was very friendly and attentive. The kabob koobideh was juicy, tasty and cooked to perfection. I personally like the kabob barg best, the meat was very tender. We also tried a couple of appetizers...the tahdig topped with stew and the halim bademjan, all were excellent. I also loved the design and decor of the restaurant. The dark green and gold tones used throughout and beautiful lighting fixtures made you feel like you stepped inside a glamorous speakeasy bar or upscale lounge. The only reason I took off 1 star is because I was extremely put off by another guest who was allowed to bring their small dog inside the restaurant while they dined. And no, this definitely wasn't a service animal. I understand this may be an unpopular opinion, but I don't think pets should be allowed inside the dining area. read more

My husband and I came with my sister in law and her husband to Ayvana and we are completely and utterly blown away by the quality of each dish, how delicious and well made they are, and above all, how amazing staff was! The servers were so sweet and brought our food out very timely. Everything we ate was perfectly cooked and tasted very delicious. I'm not sure how I found this place, maybe through TikTok or Yelp but I saw some nice videos and the kebabs looked great, so I was excited to dine here tonight with my partner. The server was very kind and the restaurant itself looked beautiful. We ordered tahdig at the beginning, but it wasn't fresh at all, so we had to send it back. They offered to let us keep the khoresht, but unfortunately that wasn't good either and it was cold. We then ordered chicken kebab and koobideh with zereshk polo and plain rice. The chicken kebab wasn't anything special and the koobideh was average. Overall, the experience was not what we expected at all. Will I go back to this place again in the future? Let me start off by saying this place was one of the most beautiful Persian restaurants I've ever been to. The decor was very pretty and different from other Persian restaurants I've been to. Our waitress was very nice but she seemed like she was the only one working so it was hard for her to be as attentive as we would have liked. I had to flag her down for a refill of water a few times. Again not a knock on her, she needed help. What seemed to be the owner was there celebrating a birthday and it was weird because he took it upon himself to grab whatever he wanted out of the bar and kitchen but didn't seem to care to be attentive to anyone else but his own needs. As for the food. I'm going to be honest, I'm Persian so I have a higher standard and expectation when it comes to Persian food but the beef kabob was very flavorless and the barg tasted gamey. I finally decided to have dinner here with my wife on a Monday night after passing by this restaurant multiple times. I arrived at around 5pm to find no one else dining in the restaurant. It was kind of nice since we had the restaurant to ourselves. The interior is designed very nicely and feels like a true fine dining restaurant. We were immediately greeted by our server Neda, who was very friendly and attentive. She sat us right away and took care of us throughout our visit. The menu was very straightforward so it did not take long for us to order. We decided to go with a burrata salad, fesenjoon and the ayvana special. We were provided with bread and butter right after we ordered, but I was disappointed to find that the bread was just some cold store-bought lavash. A fine dining restaurant like this should have warm and fresh bread. It is a big part of the experience when dining at a Persian restaurant. The salad came out pretty quickly and tasted good, but the portion was very small for $18. There was just one small piece of burrata and very little tomatoes. The main courses arrived pretty quickly. The fesenjoon had good flavor and was more on the sour side. The stew came with chicken. The chicken was good quality and tasted good but you could tell it was added to the stew before serving. They were not cooked together and had different flavors. The portion was again very disappointing for $24. The Ayvana Special Plate was the biggest disappointment, but mainly due to the portion. All three of the meats were very good quality, cooked perfectly, and tasted good. The problem was that the amount was way too little for $60. Also, the grilled bell peppers, onions and tomatoes were not cooked for long enough so they were still kind of hard. You get two plates full of rice, but only one of them came with a small piece of tahdig. There were a couple of instances that did bother me during the visit. One issue that I had was the phone for the restaurant kept going off. It was a very loud landline type tone that rung throughout the whole restaurant. The other issue was that they hired a man to take drone shots of the restaurant that day and he decided to fly it around inside while we were seated. It was pretty ridiculous, however, I did not say anything since the man was just doing his job. The takeaway from this is that the portions and the price are the biggest downside to this place. I really do not think that it is reasonable. I would consider returning if they maintained the quality of the kabob, upped the portion size and/or reduced the prices. read more

The salmon kabob was really good. It was very soft and juicy. Pair that with Ash Reshteh or Barley Soup that come quick in the beginning, both of which were amazing especially in this winter weather. Last time I had the combo koobideh with the beef and chicken kabob which was also very good, especially compared to other kabobs in LA that tend to be dry. If you don't live in the valley like me, it's definitely worth the drive and at a good price. Didn't want to write this ... but when i went in February ... i got extremely sick afterwards ... food was amazing .... but got VERY sick

Last night our friends suggested we try this new restaurant and I'm so glad we did! When we walked in we were greeted by their accommodating hostess. The decor is very aesthetic, background music is a vibe, and the menu prices are in line with other local Persian restaurants. We tried their trio appetizer which was great and everyone enjoyed their entrees. The true test of a "good" Persian restaurant's is their beef koobideh & let me tell you, it was delicious and juicy! I will say it's in the top 3 I've had. Also, the shish kabob and chicken kabobs were juicy and melt in your mouth tender. Our server was very attentive and since we had a birthday in our party several staff members along the owner came and sang to him. It was very special! There is a large room on the side where a private party can be held that can fit probably up to 50people. The service was great. The prices were comparable to the other local Persian restaurants. Our party tried mast o mousir, halim bademjoon, salad Shirazi, lamb chops, soltani and albaloo polo. The quality of the food was excellent, but the koobideh was not very flavorful and the salads/appetizers needed a bit more salt. I think if they could perfect their koobideh a bit more, it would be 10/10. But the barg was amazing, as were the lamb chops. We will be going again. read more

I saw that this restaurant recently opened and decided to give it a try. It's gorgeous inside. It's really upscale and beautiful. The service was great - the servers continually checked in on me to make sure I had everything I needed and refilled my tea and water promptly. I ordered the chicken koobideh and it was delicious. It was some of the best Persian food I've ever had. I spoke with the manager Shervin about the restaurant and he was very kind and polite. The rice was high-quality sella basmati rice and well-made. The Ghorme Sabzi/Vegetable Stew tasted and smelled fantastic. I ordered the Pure Eggplant/Kashke Bademjan, which was incredibly delicious.
