I had a great experience. This is a takeout only restaurant. Prices are very cheap. The plate I ordered was with two kebabs Crispy rice. And two kinds of rice, one yellow and one white they were both fragrant and yummy. Two kebabs were juicy and perfectly seasoned. It came with a side of roasted tomato. The guy at the cashier was extremely friendly.

Finally had a chance to stop by and try the food at this place. I must say their Koobideh combination was good, plus it's reasonably priced. The staff were nice and friendly, and the service was great. Got our take-out order pretty quickly. The place is neat, too. We'll definitely come back and try the other items in their menu.

Entrance (2/20/2025) - really nice family owned restaurant

Gem of a Spot Food: The kabobs here are amazing--super juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked just right. I've had both the chicken and the beef (Koobideh), and they're both legit. You can tell everything's fresh, and the rice is always perfect. It's simple, satisfying, and hits the spot every time. Price: Very reasonable, especially for the quality. You're getting delicious Persian food without paying crazy prices, which is hard to find around here. Ambiance: Like the name says, it's truly grab and go. No dine-in, just a family-run takeout spot where you can see the family working together behind the counter. It's got that genuine, homey vibe that makes you want to support them. Service: Always friendly and fast. They recognize returning customers, which is a nice touch. You can tell they care. Location/Parking: Super easy to get in and out. It's in a small shopping center just a block west of Corbin on Ventura, and there's plenty of free parking--huge plus. Overall: Great food, great people, super convenient. I've been back a few times already, and it's definitely a go-to when I want something tasty and quick.

I don't think I can recommend this place enough!

I love this place! Their prices are very low for such good Persian food, and the food is authentic and delicious! I've been getting the beef koobideh and the chicken kabob, and I keep coming back. The staff is also very nice. Yesterday I was having a very hard day (I just found out my cat has cancer) and when I got home I realized that they had given me tahdig in my order. If you're Iranian, you know that this is like giving someone gold. As kids, we always fought over who gets the tahdig. I'm not sure if they knew I was having such a hard day, but it really lifted my spirits when I got home. And it was really good tahdig too! Caring staff, excellent food, a true Persian-size plate full that can last several servings for less than one Chipotle burrito. Highly recommend!

A lovely and friendly family, a very clean and organized kitchen, very reasonable prices. The food quality is truly excellent -- the koobideh kebab smells just like the ones in Iran. یک خانواده دوست داشتنی و خوش برخورد ، اشپزخانه خیلی تمیز و مرتب ، قیمت ها خیلی مناسب . کیفیت غذا واقعا عالی . کباب کوبیده با بوی کباب های ایران .

Yes!! As someone who truly loves kebabs and Persian food in general I can honestly say the quality of Persian food in the valley has gone downhill in the last few years. We came across this on Google and thought the reviews must be too good to be true but figured we'd give it a try, the hype is real. Upon entering we were promptly greeted extremely friendly family owned restaurant. We ordered the koobideh and the chicken kabob. Both were delicious the rice needed a little salt and butter but once added was amazing. It is unfortunate that there is no seating but that's not going to stop us from ordering again and again. This is our new go to spot for Persian food in the valley. So long as the quality stays the way it is this is the only place we'll be ordering from from now on.

Food was good, portion sizes were great and flavor was there. Wish some sauces were included and you don't have to buy them but all good

Since it was my first time here I asked the person working at the front ( you have to order up front where they then give you a number) some questions regarding the menu. They were supper attentive and friendly. After I ordered I sat outside to people watch which was honestly really nice. Reminded me of Paris. My food came promptly thus after. The Tumeric braised chicken is amaaazzzinggg the chicken is so juicy and falls off the bone. The rice has some sort of crunchiness to it that compliments the entire flavor profile of the dish. The eggplant dip reminded me of the one my grandmother makes, dipped with the chicken made my meal feel really nostalgic. I've been back four times since and never regret it. One of those meals that just makes you feel really good after!

Recently, we were curious if our old go-to, Javan, was still any good. So, my wife and I dined there. The beef and chicken koobideh entrees were both excellent- so tender and juicy. This weekend, we have some friends visiting from San Francisco. As SF is a fantastic food town in its own right, we suggested two different food options that are better in L.A. than what you'll find up there: Korean BBQ or Persian food. The wife pushed a return to Javan. Alex, the manager, recommended the All Javan Combo for our party of 5. It includes tzatziki, hummus, salad, and flatbread to start followed by beef and chicken koobideh, chicken kabob, filet, lamb, and choice of rice. We added an eggplant stew with lamb shank and an extra skewer of chicken koobideh. Finished the meal off with hot tea, a sublimely-delicious saffron ice cream (house-made by Alex himself), baklava, and little bites that were like honey churro nubs. After we finished this feast of a meal, my daughter looked up at me and said, "This was one of the best Persian meals I've ever had." I must agree. This was a meal greater than the sum of its parts- food was very, very good and the experience was elevated by the warmth of Alex and his staff. It's rare that a restaurant works this hard to make its guests feel welcome. Free street parking and a full-bar (Alex is happy to whip-up a special cocktail for you). I give Javan my highest recommendation. Please eat here if you're in the mood for Persian food. Bon Appétit!

Although we don't dine here often, we still try to go once a year for special occasions as we have done so previously. I am not sure if you have changed something in how to prepare the beef koobideh or chicken koobideh, but I prefer how it was made before. Actually, both the rice and koobideh's that we had this time were very salty. There is no need to put lots of salt if your food is already delicious. Seemed like this time, the salt was a little too much. we love Sadaf and its great ambience, and because I care about your restaurant's reputation, I am letting you know. I am sure if you put a little less salt, no one will complain that it doesn't have enough salt. All the meat whether chicken, salmon or beef comes out perfectly juicy and flavorful. Just wish things weren't so expensive. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back. My family and I went here one afternoon and as we sat down, the attendant from the restaurant told us that the specific table we were sitting on wasn't part of the restaurant and we were not going to be served if we sat there in a very rude tone. We went ahead and moved. Then we went up to the cashier to order our food and the two people that were there were busy talking to each other in farsi about a customer that just came and didn't tip along with some very vulgar language. Then as we were ordering, we told them it was our first time and we got no smile or anything, very still faces like whatever. We ordered two Koobideh wraps and a few other things. It was very uncomfortable. The Cashier didn't even speak to us. As we sat down we were "served" after we HAD to ask if we get bread and onions and water because we saw that they were taking those things to other tables. The Koobideh wrap tasted like Rubber and you could barely hold it together as it was drenched with the sauce and all soggy. Even my 1 year old wouldn't eat it. We had to open up the sandwiches and eat them with a fork. It was not a good experience. Tip for the owner: You should probably remind your employees that some of your customers are Persian and they will understand them talking shit.
