Stopped by to grab some delicious kabobs. This restaurant is take at only and it helps to order ahead because it takes about 20 min to get order. There is a small waiting area with a few chairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We tried some Beef Koobideh & Chicken kebabs, as well as the Bakhtiari (combo chicken and beef kebabs). All the dishes were delicious. I had guests over and ordered Zereshk Polo, and there was a long thick black hair in the food. It was really embarrassing, and everyone noticed. When I called, the person apologized and offered me a credit for a future order, which I appreciated. A week later, when I called to use that credit, the tone of the conversation left me feeling really uncomfortable. It wasn't so much what was said, but how it was said. I drive by this place daily so I decided to try it out. As the name suggests, this is strictly a pick-up only concept. There is no indoor dining - no problem! I ordered the beef koobideh ($14.99). I didn't realize how good of a deal it was until I received my meal 20 minutes later. WOW huge portion sizes! Especially with all the saffron rice they give you. There's enough rice to make 4 meals out of it all. The beef was so juicy and flavorful. I ate around lunchtime and it kept me full until around 8pm. I finished both beef koobideh's and half the rice they gave me. I went home meal prepped and used the remaining half of the leftover rice for two of the meals I made at home. The only thing I wish they'd do is maybe slightly less rice and throw an extra roasted tomato or charred onion in there instead while keeping the same price. If you're Iranian, you know that this is like giving someone gold. As kids, we always fought over who gets the tahdig. We came across this on Google and thought the reviews must be too good to be true but figured we'd give it a try, the hype is real. Upon entering we were promptly greeted extremely friendly family owned restaurant. We ordered the koobideh and the chicken kabob. Both were delicious the rice needed a little salt and butter but once added was amazing. It is unfortunate that there is no seating but that's not going to stop us from ordering again and again. I would even say that it's better than most of the Persian restaurants in Westwood. I ordered the beef kobideh and the chicken juju. You get 2 skewers of Kabob, healthy portion of rice, and a grilled tomato. My food was made to order and was incredibly fresh and felt like it was made with quality ingredients. It was a tiny bit on the bland side but for $12.99 I can't complain. Filled my stomach and left me incredibly satisfied. Service was great. I was offered a free dough after being reluctant to buy one, and ordering was hassle free. Very casual spot without seating, but it's great to take it home to eat or even look for seating at the nearby plazas. Hubs and I were craving Persian kabob last night but didn't feel like going out of our way or spending too much on an impromptu meal. We just wanted something quick and tasty we could bring home. I had been eyeing Grab&Go for a few months, and decided to give them a try. Called in to pick up. The person who answered and took my order was very kind and efficient. I ordered a Beef Koobideh and a Chicken Kabob. He let me know it would be ready in 10/15 min. As soon as I walked in, I was smacked in the face by the most wonderful smell. If you love Persian Kabob, you know exactly what I'm talking about. To the right, there was the service counter and most likely the person who took my order helping customers, and behind him was an open air kitchen where one person was fanning the flames beneath the skewers of kabob, and 2 others were working the rice makers, and assembling orders. It was giving family owned and operated. They let me know our order would be another 5 min, and we were completely fine with that - especially considering how good it smelled in there, and how kind they were about it. I also grabbed a mast o khiar (Persian cold dip made of yogurt, cucumber & mint) because I love having that w/ my kabob. As soon as we got home we sat to eat. And I will say, this kabob reminds me of some of the best I've had growing up in the valley. A lot of smaller kabob eateries over the years have lost their touch sadly, but this place will be my new go to spot. Especially considering the price point. Both orders were $14.99 each the quality was amazing, and so nostalgic. Loved it and will be back next time with all my siblings and their kids!
