We were a bit worried that they could take 6 of us at the last minutes on a Saturday night.. but it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We had tried the previous operators in this, what should be an, ideal location. This current operation is by far the best. We go to this restaurant fairly regularly as my wife says their food is not only very good but Very Authentic italian food. This Friday our experience was amazing as they were decorated "to the nines" for Carnival, the italian version of Mardi Gras with Music, the Menu and Drinks to match. This dinner was truly uneventful. It started with bread that they pass out one piece at a time. It seems that they do that so that you can receive hot bread but you will be waiting a long time for another piece. My family held a post funeral lunch in January at this fine restaurant. Our friends and family members, numbering around 45, enjoyed a wonderful sit down meal. We incorporated the music my uncle loved and displayed his art work and memorabilia. The owners and staff were very helpful and attentative. After reading the article about this business being family owned we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I don't see us going back. We sat at the bar for a cocktail and soon realized that the restaurant is all about cutting costs. I ordered a martini and was poured one 3/4 full. My wife ordered a wine, which they poured into a small carafe about 3/4 full and then put into a glass, maybe 3-4 ounces. Enough said. This is the kind of restaurant that I immediately want to leave let alone suggest others to participate. We ordered pasta dishes after a lightly battered and undercooked calamari appetizer. The seafood over pasta was sparse with 5 mussels and 5 clams, again watching the pennies and, ignoring the bigger picture of creating raving fans by delivering anything memorable. My wife enjoyed her pasta and vegetable dish, although it looked to me more like a lunch serving. The pasta is fresh and great...but do you go out and spend $100 for good pasta? As I said, the family story brought us to the table but the delivery isn't worth the trip. read more

Not what I expected. Service was fine but the food wasn't very good. The caeser salad needed more flavor. We added salt pepper cheese to do something to it. My steak came with 5 Potato halves and 6 Brussels sprouts. Not worth the 30 price. Could have gotten a better peace of meat at stop and shop. Had dinner here with friends Friday night. Food, service and atmosphere were top notch. Enjoyed a couple glasses of wine at the bar while waiting for friends. For dinner, Burrata e prosciutto appetizer, and the veal sautéed with wild mushrooms were amazing. There was a wonderful acoustical guitar player all evening. Had an amazing Easter dinner here! The best lasagna I've ever had, Neapolitan style with eggs and tiny meatballs. AMAZING! The lamb was fantastic with baby artichokes. We sampled many desserts including cannoli, tiramisu, and a special Italian Pasqua cake. My compliments to the chef! I will be back. read more

A little piece of Sorrento in Redding...the food, ambience and service are outstanding in this Italian gem restaurant. Their sauces are the best we've had in local Italian restaurants, as are the menu choices. Portions are generous and the service is very attentive. The only thing keeping it quiet here is their off the beaten path location in Redding's Georgetown section, but very much worth a visit. My wife is Italian and I cook Italian food often and in our opinion, the food here is authentic and very well prepared. read more

Wow! This place is phemoninal. I can't say enough good things! First of all, the decor and ambiance is so nice. The wine list did not disappoint. The service was outstanding. As for the food....just YUM!!!! To start, the Ceasar salad was delish. Flavorful without too much dressing. I had the fettuccine bolognese as a main course. The pasta is homemade and cooked perfectly. The sauce was amazing and the dallop of fresh ricotta on top just made the dish! My Mom had the Scaloppina di Vitello, Veal with wild mushrooms in a white wine brown gravy. The veal was thinly sliced and sooooo very tender. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. My wife and I dined there recently. The food was pretty good. We had an issue where one of us ordered one of the seafood dinners. When the plate arrived at the table there was calamari as one of the selections of seafood. Neither one of us would have ordered a dish that had calamari in it. We're just not fans at all for it. We asked to view a menu again to make sure that we didn't miss that the dish actually included calamari. We were correct that it did not. We explained to the server that the calamari wasn't supposed to be on the plate. They were nice about the mistake and asked if we wanted additional seafood in place of that. We said additional shrimp would be nice. Of course that had to be cooked so by the time that extra plate came out we had already finished our meals. We expected to have a little something offered to us at the end to make up for the mistake. We overheard a discussion between a server and the manager (?) the owner (?) about a complimentary beer and/or glass of wine. In the end nothing was offered to make up for the error. The added shrimp didn't seem to make up for it as the dish would have had more seafood anyway if the calamari wasn't there. We have a feeling that since we had already made them aware that we had a "Restaurant.com" coupon that nothing complementary was offered. Luckily we didn't feel the same way and we tipped on the total amount of the bill (prior to the coupon) like one really should. We left feeling that we weren't truly appreciated for dealing with their admitted error. Will we return? I think they made up our minds for us. read more
