So this is another one of places I drive by all the time and wonder if it's any good. So this particular day a couple of weeks ago i finally decided to try it. When we entered the restaurant , we were greeted,I'm going to assume by the owner. He also ended up being our waiter and bus boy. But he did a great job. It was about mid afternoon when we got there, the restaurant was empty. There is Two sides to the restaurant, the hibachi side and the food to the table. The inside is very clean and well kept up. But was kindve out dated but still in great condition. We settled for the hibachi. There's a big selection on the menu with alot of options. We ordered some sushi rolls that were supposed to be like a starter, they were a nice portion and tasted great. For our meals I got fhe Filet Mignon, scallops and lobster. My wife and daughter ordered chicken and scallops and we all got complementary shrimp. The portions were very generous and very good. Everything was cooked perfect. Our Hibachi chef ( who wasn't the the owner ) was funny and very good. The meal also came with an onion soup, which was very tasty. Well the meals were Ooooo! Oooo! Delicious. Over all for the price and the amount of food we got and how good it tasted, it was a great experience. I've been to many hibachi restaurants, I don't know why it took me so long to try this one. Stop in you won't regret it.

I came in after a meeting around 3 hoping for a quick lunch. Unfortunately I was told there wasn't a lunch option. Not sure if I missed the cutoff time or they just don't have lunch. I ordered a fire something roll that was on the specials menu and the vegetable habachi. The roll was so good. Shrimp tempura with crab salad, jalapeño, eel sauce and spicy mayo on top. My only complaint is the roll was so large it was hard to bite. But it was one of the best rolls I've ever had in my life. The vegetable habachi was just habachi. Nothing good or bad about it. I would go back just for that sushi roll. The onion soup that came with the habachi was flavorful but the salad was drowning in dressing.

Spoiled red snapper. The restaurant denied that it was spoiled and accused us of just not knowing what red snapper tastes like.

Unfortunately we won't be back. I haven't been leaving bad reviews since times are tough but this was really lame. I did update my review from 1 to 3 stars because they refunded the entire combo rather than just the fish that wasn't good. It was my birthday and I'd been planning to get some sushi to go for weeks. We ordered about $75 of food and when we started to dig in, I noticed some of the sashimi tasted off. I smelled it and sure enough, it smelled fishy and like ammonia, a clear sign that it is not fresh. I smelled another piece of sashimi and it smelled fishy but not like ammonia. We had also gotten a bunch of rolls and all of them were fine except the salmon skin, which is one of my favorite rolls normally. We ate immediately after we brought the food home so it wasn't a matter of it sitting there and getting soggy. The salmon skin was not crispy but chewy. We didn't even complain about this or the quality of anything else, though it was subpar compared to the last time we ate there. The rolls fell apart when lifted and nothing tasted top notch except the salmon sashimi, which was excellent. We couldn't eat the rest of the sashimi because the bad fish had turned us off from the meal and it had all been together in one container. So I call today to let them know about the bad sashimi and I am overly polite, like I feel bad that I even have to complain because we've always liked this place, but we also didn't want to be out $30 for fish we couldn't eat. After I tell him it smelled and tasted bad the guy says, "Oh, so you don't like red snapper." I said we do, we've had it many times in the past but it smelled like ammonia and tasted bad. He said, "So you want us to replace it?" I told him no, we'd finished the rest of the dinner the night before and didn't really want new red snapper. I said if he'd like us to bring in the fish we didn't eat, we could. He said to bring it in. I started to tell him everything else was really good and he actually hung up on me. No apology and he hung up on me. We weren't even mad about the fish! We just wanted to resolve the issue because we had purchased a meal we couldn't eat. My fiancé brought the fish in as the guy requested and when he got home I asked how it went and he said the guy told him, "next time just say you don't like red snapper." We've been regularly eating sushi for 20+ years and I'm able to tell the difference between fresh and spoiled/borderline spoiled fish. I want to support local businesses but if you treat customers like crap when they politely let you know about a legitimate issue, I won't. Rather than just say "I'm sorry about that," they treated us like we were ignorant or lying, even AFTER I told him that we'd had snapper many times and this time it was bad. They also still haven't fixed their super loud phone and door chimes so I wouldn't recommend dining in either if you want to have a relaxing experience.

Super long bday song in the dark! 5 mins at least.

Ahh-Rush-Me is more like it. Sweetest day nite pretty busy there. Had reservations so we got sat in 5 mins. The server was taking our orders so fast and not listening she actually walked away while we were still in middle of our order & didn't get to add on a soup! We did order a sushi appetizer right off the bat but didn't get it until AFTER our hibachi meals were eaten! So she probably didn't put it in until we asked about it after 20 mins passed. I got the chicken & wife got the vegetable hibachi. Kid got sides of rice & noodles w/ soup. Cook was nice & actually used a separate spatula on the shrimp since I said I was allergic. The room we were in was like a closet, it was packed. Then there was 4 birthdays in the place with blaring music, disco ball, & they turned off the lights. So we were in the dark for 6-7 mins all together!! It was very annoying, we saw this lady at the other table & every time there was another birthday she gasped "not again". Nobody enjoyed it. Also the cook never cracked any eggs on the grill (nor did any of the normal fun antics) yet there were eggs in our fried rice!? It was poor service, loud and dark for too long. And the food was just ok, rice had no flavor, sushi was ok, the YumYum sauce was the highlight.

Maguro hirame sake nigiri! Gojira roll in the back. Look at the beautiful tuna, red like a grapefruit!!

The lot is better than ever now after all the construction. Ample free parking really makes it easy! This is a nice place. Usually I do my sushi out here at Vieng's but today over here at arashi. I've read things about tue & Thur are the fresh (ie delivery days) sushi days. And never on Sunday. Anthony bourdain said that. Not just here I mean. Everywhere that's not a mainstream sushi specialty. Maguro & salmon were beautiful and delicious. Very bright color. Hirame beautiful on one side & silver streak on the other side so I turnt it round. Delicious. Some miso soup and hot tea. I love the wakami in there. Bro had the gojira roll and loved it. Lobster salad avocado topped with unagi. I wanted to try the Uni but they were out. Just like NHK TV. $34 nice lunch. 4 stars thanks!

If you like Hibachi, this is absolutely a must-try. Even tho Hibachi tables are currently closed, the meals were amazing in presentation and taste. Otherwise... other meals, not great portions for the price. I ordered Seafood Udon Soup and the bowl was 1/4 full- and they forgot the Udon. (See picture.) Once I asked about the noodles they did bring them out however, they had cooked them in Hibachi so once added to the seafood soup, it wasn't edible. We will try again once Hibachi is open to public.

    Saturday lunch time!

We were seated on the second floor at a more intimate table, which made the evening feel even more special. We were celebrating two birthdays, mine and my son's and it ended up being such a great night. This was our son's first time at this restaurant. To start, we ordered the Girl Power appetizer, which was a half pound of breaded scallops served with dipping sauces. It ended up being about five large scallops and they were excellent, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked. The pretzel bread brought to the table was also fantastic, served with regular butter and a whipped peanut butter butter that was surprisingly delicious. For drinks, I ordered the seasonal mule, a blood orange mule that was refreshing and perfectly balanced. My younger son was excited to see mocktails on the menu and ordered the Berry Mint Refresher, which he loved. For our entrées, my husband ordered one of the steak specials, the Beverly, cooked rate with mushrooms and garlic butter. Myself and two sons all ordered the Stripper, their New York strip steak. My younger son had his cooked rare with garlic butter, while my older son and I ordered ours medium rare with garlic butter. The steaks were cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful. For sides, we shared the garlic mashed potatoes and the Gruyère mac & cheese, both of which were fantastic and complemented the steaks perfectly. Our server, Walter, was amazing from start to finish. He walked us through the menu, checked in with us several times, and made sure everything was perfect. His service really elevated the experience. Since we were celebrating two birthdays, we were surprised with a lovely small cake brought to the table so we could celebrate both occasions. It was such a thoughtful touch. Strip Steakhouse is truly top-notch and, in my opinion, one of the best steakhouses in the Cleveland area. It never disappoints, and we're already looking forward to our next special event to celebrate and visit.

We passed it up once and nearly missed it a second time. It's a big renovated barn, and the first floor is not very special, with a few tables and a small bar. Thankfully we ate on the second floor which was gracious and spacious. The prices are white cloth but weirdly the tables are clothless. Almost like a white/cream butcher block surface. And the barn atmosphere apparently lulls some guests into thinking jeans and T's are appropriate. I didn't care for that and wish the restaurant had a nicer dress code. Anyway, the star here is steak, and it didn't disappoint. As the specials were being rattled off (expertly by Shane who was terrific for us) it became clear that I wasn't gonna get the cut I wanted, as they hovered between 90-120 bucks. I can't believe where beef is in America right now...shameful. We settled for "Jake's Steaks" which were economical 10 oz sirloins perfectly prepared and very satisfying. Sides were big enough to share. A lobster pasta had al dente penne but the crustacean was fishier than I had hoped. Zero complaint about the luscious, rich, cheesy scalloped potatoes. A complimentary birthday cake was a classy touch for us. With a credit card dent of nearly 200 bucks, I wanted it to be 5 stars, but it came up just a sliver short. Still an enjoyable special occasion night out.

The facility is far bigger than I thought it would be. They have a central restaurant with multiple party centers on either side. It's a really BIG facility. New, modern, and quite attractive. With plenty of convenient parking. The wall of the restaurant that faces Cleveland Hopkins Airport is all glass. It affords you quite an impressive view of the airport and the planes landing. The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. All in all, our overall experience was "meh"... just "meh". Sorry - really probably should be 3.5

We had 4 different varieties of oysters -- all perfectly chilled and served with both cocktail and a green sauce mignonette, with plenty of lemon. Now for the showstoppers -- I had the N'awklins shrimp and grits. Oh my! The shrimp were nestled on top of the silky cheddar grits, and blackened - seasoned beautifully and cooked just right - not mushy or chewy. But the star? The broth! Tomato based, the depth of flavor was unexpected, and so good, I could have eaten a bowl of just that. My husband had Cioppino, which I could not taste due to GF. Atmosphere was a wood, rustic, whiskey barrel feel and the food was great. Came back this year, and it was probably the most brutal restaurant experience I've had in a while. So Char is now called Avo Mexican, but they didn't change the atmosphere to replicate a Mexican place. It's still whiskey themed- with signs slapped on the old logo. They still have some of the old menu items from Char- which is so confusing too. When we walked in I asked the host if the bar was open seating. He said "oh I don't know" and walked away. We just sat at the bar since he didn't come back. We asked the Bartender what happened to Char and he said the owners wanted a rebrand. But it looked like a whiskey bar still....they didn't rebrand anything. I got a marg and my guy asked for a Mexican beer they used to have. Bartender said we haven't had that in a year. So they got rid of all their Mexican beers....? Even though they are now a Mexican place? So he ended up getting a Coors Light. My Marg lacked any sweetness or Agave. It was tequila and lime juice- poor bartender was struggling with 4 bar guests. It was kinda sad. I got a taco salad and my guy got a burger. He used to get the burger with fries, but now that it's Mexican, they only have chips. We had chips and guac for an app, so that was super annoying. Fries used to be really good. And who wants a burger without fries? Place wasn't busy, but our food took 35 minutes. Bartender kept apologizing and saying the kitchen was slammed. It clearly wasn't, I'm sure the cooks were adjusting to a new menu. Food was okay. Used to be really good, but I wouldn't recommend anymore. I guess they close at 8pm some days, because around 7:40 when we just had gotten our food, the bartender said it's last call. We were kinda laughing that they did a last call during normal dinner hours. My fiancé was considering getting another beer after dinner, but I guess they were closing...so weird. I've never seen a place close at peak dinner hours. No idea why they rebranded it. Confusing signage, food is not good anymore, drinks are bad, atmosphere doesn't make sense, menu is lackluster, service and kitchen are lacking, hours are bad. Sucks to write this, but I 100% will not be returning.
