Amazing! From the moment I walked into this restaurant I noticed the beautiful historic murals, the seating, the table set up, dim lighting and our waitress was a doll! She was so sweet and thought of ways to make the dining experience top shelf... Then the food... in a league of its own.... The ribeye steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, the creamed spinach was the most delicious I have had, mashed potatoes served family style very rich. Everything was simply delicious. Amazing dinner at Hyde Park on a Thursday in winter. Service was a bit slow for drinks, but our waitress was super friendly to our group of 6! Sides are shareable, and able to split salads into two. My favorite was the Filet Mignon and the roasted creamed corn pancetta!!! Will be returning very soon for another great meal. read more

My wife and I got lucky on NYE to get a last second late reservation in. Due to a snowstorm in our area, we had to cancel our reservation that was downtown Cleveland. We pivoted to Hyde Park, which I've heard good things about, and luckily they had an opening for us. The atmosphere and service at the restaurant are excellent. Nice and elegant for a date night or a special occasion. Our waiter was very detailed and helpful, even with a packed restaurant. The menu had a lot of fantastic options for food and drinks. My tendency is trying 2 good sounding drinks when I go out, but the first drink I tried was so well done and perfect that I ordered it again. Food wise, they're known for steak, so my wife and I ordered different steaks we were very pleased with. We had corn and Mac and cheese as side dishes. We tried a lobster escargot for an appetizer. All of the food was absolutely fantastic! The desserts were also very tasty. Great taste and good portioning sizes. We were very impressed that everything we tried was top notch. The menu lists appetizers (e.g., crab cake, lobster-tail cocktail, oysters, and onion soup), entrees (e.g., filet mignon, ribeye, Australian wagyu, lamb chop, and salmon), sides (e.g., brussels sprouts and lobster mac and cheese), and desserts (e.g., flaming-butter cake, cheesecake, and carrot cake). Please see my attached photos for the menu for May 2024. I had a reservation for my husband and me, and the seating hostess promptly greeted and seated us. Two waiters served us, and they both were timely and courteous throughout our meal. Here are my ratings for my husband's and my foods: Wagyu carpaccio - 5 stars - My husband had previously ordered this appetizer at a different Hyde Park location, and he loved it there, so he ordered it here also. Slices of wagyu beef were topped with a spicy sauce. Double-chop salad - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size, and it contained fresh lettuce, eggs, cucumbers, onions, celery, cheddar, and dressing (and no tomatoes at my husband's request). Lobster bisque - 4.5 stars - I thought that this bowl of lobster bisque tasted very good. Steak Kosar - 5 stars - This entree consisted of a filet mignon that was cooked exactly as my husband had requested. It was topped with lobster, asparagus, bearnaise sauce, and mushrooms. Scallops - 4 stars - Scallops were a special entree. I received five scallops for $52. The scallops were cooked perfectly but had slightly too much seasoning. On the side was a flavorful bok choy. Spinach and mushrooms - 3.5 stars - This side of spinach and mushrooms was nicely sautéed. My husband and I enjoyed the mushrooms more than the spinach. Our total bill for these foods was $185 plus a tip. We drank only water. Note: The recommended attire is business casual. read more

We brought a client here for dinner, and the experience was over the top amazing! We started off slow with some calamari, bread, a chopped salad to share, crab cake, and lobster escargot. The thoughtful recommendations from our server were right on point. We all ordered steaks for dinner, I ordered the Steak Brown, which is Filet Mignon, garlic, cracked black pepper Roasted Shallot Cabernet Sauce, it was absolutely delicious! Next time I would get the Steak Kosar, Filet Mignon over bordelaise crowned with asparagus, lobster & bearnaise, sliced mushrooms since it was my second choice! For sides we tried the Brussels, asparagus, and the spinach and mushrooms. I didn't realize until writing this review, that they forgot the mushrooms, and I just received spinach, but it was so delicious I didn't notice at the time, lol! We tried some different desserts, the creme brulee was creamy with a crispy top, and so rich and delicious. I had high hopes for the amount of money that they charge. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the wait staff. We got some drinks which I do have to admit were good.. we ordered our meals and the onion soup. The soup arrived without spoons and we waited another 5 minutes because the wait staff was no where to be found to ask for the spoons. My wife and I both ordered the ribeye, Macaroni, and creamed corn. The steaks came out and were over cooked flavorless and charred. The macaroni was crisp and flavorless, the creamed corn was decent. Out of all the food we ordered the soup and creamed corn were the only semi flavorful dishes we had. We will not be back thats for sure. I would chose any other place 100× over low or mid tier steakhouse after this lackluster experience. read more

After leaving a bad review on this restaurant. And having a very poor time eating very below average food. One restaurant managers emailed me asking all that went wrong. I explained how our waiting was hardly around. Our food was extremely under cooked and it was an all around terrible experience. He Basiclly blew me off and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. And asked if I could remove the and review. I said no you guys haven't even done anything to rectify this. I used to love this place and pre covid I always reserved this place for my company's parties . I always raved about Hyde. Last time I was there (2023) it was awful service so I never went back till just last week for a family funeral. I thought I'd try it again . Where the service was amazing, the food was a shame . Everyone's steaks were cooked to burnt and tasteless - obviously . If the steaks weren't so expensive I'd not write this review but it was disappointing . So we took our grand daughter last night bc it's her favorite place. They offer valet parking out front but also parking structure one block away at Crocker. Started with their warm pretzel bread, crackers and rolls with seasoned butter. Very good. For apps we had the wagu carpaccio - which comes with small salad in center, Parmesan curls, capers and horseradish sauce, and thin crostini - beautifully plated and delicious. Also had an order of raw oysters with mignonette sauce - nice. On Sunday's they offer 2 course dinners at reduced price. My husband did one- surf and turf with the Hyde wedge salad. The salad was very good. The lobster tail - 5 oz or less but good. Filet properly cooked to MR looked like 6 oz. Good deal. They also offer a crab cake Oscar and double 6oz filet version. Other app options ans entrees I don't recall. I ordered the Kosar filet 8 oz with lobster and grand daughter Oscar tenderloin 9oz. We had a side of potato's Gruyère gratin. The gratin needed nutmeg and salt. Her tenderloin overcooked for medium rare and mine undercooked for same. But delicious. Mushrooms on mine hard to find. Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse at Crocker Park was a disappointing experience. On a Friday night in October, we hoped for a lively atmosphere but found the dining room nearly empty upon arrival at 7:30 pm. We opted to sit at the bar, where the first bartender was lovely and attentive. However, the second bartender who took our dinner order was terse and abrupt, loudly announcing to his colleagues that he was "just trying to wrap up" as if we were an inconvenience. Their website advertises they are open until 10 pm. Despite there being more staff than patrons, they seemed more focused on socializing among themselves than attending to guests. By the time our dinner arrived, we felt so unwelcome that we considered asking for it to go. We ordered a salad, two steaks, and a loaded baked potato, which turned out to be anything but loaded. When we sent it back, the second bartender scrutinized it as if doubting our complaint, while other staff loitered nearby. After waiting too long for the potato to be corrected, we had already finished our meal. I asked him to take it away and remove it from the bill. The total came to $200 before tip for two, leaving us feeling unappreciated after a long work week. There are much better options nearby--next time, we'll head to Cabin Club instead. read more

Hyde Park is always excellent! The bartender Nate is a baller and gets customer service and accommodating patrons, unlike Another Broken Egg in Crocker Park. We frequently dine here and the last few times we have been disappointed. Not sure what has happened to this particular Hyde Park but what we thought was going to be a quiet , tasteful and tasty evening turned it less than nice. Between burnt and/or stale bread, fatty/ gristly short ribs and a chicken Milanese which tasted like a sweet dessert more than a light, beautiful lemony Flavor over a crispy breaded chicken. The consensus was maybe it was an off- night or a new cook/ chef. After letting management know we were less than satisfied with a dinner that should be what is always expected at such a restaurant, they did comp the chicken Milanese and offered a dessert gratis. To say we were disappointed is true. Kind of ruined the vibe for the night-tried to be agreeable with management and waitstaff and give them an "out" as an "off" night ... we could have went to a few other places to give them our business but we expected consistency and quality at Hyde Park instead. The server was nice albeit way overzealous- it's fun I guess but not when one expects quality and decorum. read more

Went Today For My Sons Confirmation Dinner. Upon Arrival, we were greeted in a hostile manner and felt like we weren't welcomed there. As we were seated, we were served by a women named Cheyenne (who was very sweet, but had no acknowledgment in the food service industry) and asked for our drinks. Drinks were served to us in less then 10 minutes (which is decent) and appetizers in 20 minutes (which was mediocre at best.) When our entrees was put into the system, we waited for more than an hour for our food. When an hour passed, we saw our food sitting on the shelf (under the lamp!) When we received our food, it was cold and not even pleasant to eat. This is our second time and mistakes happen, but this will be a one to remember. This location does not disappoint. Obviously you are in Westlake, OH in a mall and windows are scarce. But the staff and food have always been great. Quick and on point and tasty. Usually I pop in with my SO but even in a larger group they perform well, bringing all the food out at the same time with everything cooked to order and on point. Wine list / bar selection is great. Parking is readily available nearby - even for free. Street parking might be available but you have to have coins but they do also offer valet. read more

A prime steakhouse that lives up to the name. I tried so much here as it was a group dinner and really enjoyed it all. With trying so much, I feel I can safely say they really have a successful menu besides the steak. Also, do try the dessert! The food is A1 and everything I tried was prepared as I would have liked it to be made. Lot of flavor, great presentation, and good portion sizes. The atmosphere is very nice and upscale, a type of place that is worthy of the price and any occasion. Outstanding experience!! We went to Hyde Park restaurant in Crocker Park and I simply can't say enough good things about it. Mark, our waiter, was superb. He made great recommendations, paced all of courses expertly, and conversed with us without being obtrusive. The lump crab cocktail was awesome, and the lobster bisque was to die for. The filets were outstanding as was the 5 cheese Mac & cheese. My brother had the 30 pound (or so it seemed) lobster and enjoyed it immensely. All in all, an expensive dinner, but oh so worth it if you enjoy a true culinary experience. Five stars easily. read more

I love this place. Great experience. When you walk in you are greeted with a smiling host. I have been here for happy hour and dinner. The bartenders are very pleasant and make really great drinks! When you sit in the dining room area, there is such a great ambiance. The servers are very knowledgeable of the menu and have great suggestions! The service has always been impeccable and the food is delicious. They are also great at suggesting dinner for people with food allergies . This restaurant has my favorite sea bass. On the last Sunday in February, my hubs decided he wanted steak for dinner that he did not make himself. He made a reservation all by himself for the family to go dinner. He decided to go here, and I'm glad he did. The service we had was a fantastic! I had the Surf and Turf, hubs had the 36 day aged Ribeye, the girl had the Chicken Sandwich, and the boy had grilled cheese. Why they don't order steak at a steakhouse is beyond me. My hubs loved his steak! Said it was tender. My steak was a smidge dry but the lobster tails were delish! The kids liked their meals too. The atmosphere was nice except for someone that was sitting behind us watching a very loud video on their phone for most of our dinner. We also had asparagus and lobster mac and cheese. They were ok. The asparagus was a little chewy and the mac and cheese taste more like a butter sauce. It wasn't terrible. I say if you have a hankering for steak, give them a.try! I have been looking at this place for so long since I love to go to the movie theatre right next door and was not disappointed. The service was on point. I don't know if it's just my luck lately but I haven't had service like that in a while. So kudos! I sat on the patio and absolutely enjoyed it. The layout is so nice that I didn't really feel cramped at all. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable which I enjoyed. I started off with the shrimp cocktail which was perfect. Absolutely no complaints there. Then I moved on to lobster bisque and this is where I wasn't fully happy. It was just a strange soup. They almost like puréed the lobster into the soup and gave it such a strange texture as you were eating it. It wasn't my favorite. I then got to eat my steak which I ordered medium rare and the temperature was actually about rare +. A smidge more rare than I like it but it's okay. I got it Oscar style and everything else on the plate was perfect. When it came dessert time I got the molten lava cake and again a small criticism. While I absolutely loved that as well because I'm a chocolate fanatic, there could've been more melted chocolate in the middle. When I cut into a lava cake I expect it to just pour out but there was so little of it in there that it was more just chocolate cake. Because of a few small things I wouldn't give it 5 stars but I most definitely will return! read more

This location is absolutely a perfect fit for the area, it offers an alternative dining experience with a ambiance that's much quieter than any of the other brand restaurants in Crocker Park. I met my daughter here at her request and it provided the perfect atmosphere for dinner and some privacy to have a great conversation. Our server Alex provided exceptional service the entire night, everything was timed perfectly and although attentive he wasn't disruptive and always professional, I'd definitely request his service again. I've been to several Hyde Park locations and this location is one of my favorites, the quality and preparation of all the dishes were spot on. Wedge Salad - I usually choose a wedge salad when dining at a restaurant of this caliber, and the wedge salad here is exceptional, served chilled, perfectly portioned, fresh and topped with real bacon, candied pecans and an amazing blue dressing and no bitterness. Asparagus - We choose this side to share and there was plenty for two people and I think there would have been enough for three. These medium sized stalks were roasted, extremely tender and full of flavor, the Parmesan cheese topping makes this one of my favorites and is irresistible. Steaks - We chose the ribeye and bone-in filet, both were prepared exactly as ordered, high quality beef done right is always a winning combination in my opinion. The flavor of the steaks definitely stand on their own here, very lean, trimmed perfectly and it simply melted in our mouths. There's no doubt Hyde Park's Meat Purveyor provides a high quality product to this restaurant allowing the talented kitchen staff to perform their magic. Lobster - We ordered a 16 oz. lobster to share and told Alex to have the Chef prepare it to his liking and surprise us he did, this was absolutely a great choice. The lobster was prepared in the oven with brown butter and served at the perfect temperature, it was full of flavor, very tender and presented in portions to be enjoyed without any work. Desserts - This can be one of the more difficult decisions being they all are so tempting, I don't think you can make a bad choice here. The Crème Brûlée was perfect, the warm fired sugar topping paired well with the smooth chilled custard, if you love this type of treat you've be very pleased with the Chef's execution of this dish. The Molten Lava Cake and high quality vanilla ice cream is to die for, super rich and succulent you could over-dose on this one. Went here tonight to celebrate our sons birthday. Started with a cocktail in the bar catching the tail end of happy hour. They use top shelf liquor only, which I thought was impressive and even the coke topper on the Long Island came out of the cutest tiny bottle, not a soda gun. That and the Moscow Mules were made perfectly. Went in for dinner, we started with the chop salad which they split 3 ways, very impressed by that and it was just the right amount for each of us before dinner. Then we had Chicken Milanese, Chicken Parm, Strip Steak Oscar, Garlic Mashed, Lobster Mac, Brussels Sprouts and your standard baked potato. All of the sides are portioned to share. We loved everything! The chicken dishes were surprisingly generous . The steak was cooked perfectly and really delicious! The Mac & Ch was very rich and had large chunks of real lobster, not langastinos or if it was, fooled me We ended our meal with a complimentary slice of flourless chocolate cake for our sons birthday and it was just enough for us to satisfy our sweet tooth. One of my favorite places in Crocker Park. Food is always great. Steaks are cooked perfectly. Very good wine selection; look for the top shelf wines that they offer specials by the glass. These are often wines you can only buy by the bottle other places. Tonight, gotta give extra kudos to Sara G, our main server. Made reservations for two couples to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. We each ordered drinks and out of the four of us one drink wasn't what was ordered. The waitress then made sure I got the correct drink. Two of us ordered filet dinners prepared medium but when we received them they were medium rare. Very disappointing for a high end steakhouse. Brussels sprouts not even cooked waitress took them back to kitchen and when we got them back still not cooked. The lobster Mac n cheese was very blend. For our first experience at Hyde Park steakhouse it was definitely not worth the price we paid. We have been to high end steakhouses and we won't be coming back to this one. When I asked the manager, he said those people were "adamant" about being seated outside. Really? So I should have been more "adamant"? What does that look like? Raise my voice? Stomp my foot?
