    Lobster Bisque

Me and my family came in for my grandpa's birthday. We were seated immediately. This restaurant definitely has a cozy cabin vibe and is very small! We felt pretty cramped at our table with the servers going in between our table and the next one with very little space. Not that it was a big deal to us but the servers butts were very close if not touching the side of our table when navigating around. I would definitely recommend a full booth, they looked to have more space and away from other parties. Our food was amazing! My grandpa ordered the Delmonico steak and had a lot of gristle and we are not ones to complain but the manager noticed an issue and immediately got him a new steak. The second one was amazing! Just a bad cut, which happens. My ice queen martini was delicious! It was featured on their Ohio ice wine menu. I got the surf and turf and it was the perfect portion of meat, seafood, and veggies. The only food item I wasn't thrilled with was the lobster bisque. It was more Smokey than lobstery. I would recommend the French onion instead! I would come like to back and enjoy the bar area!

Came here to celebrate Valentine's Day so take that in consideration for the review. The best thing about cabin club is their price. You get complimentary bread and a salad and side with your steak meal, you won't leave hungry! It's a fantastic deal so I love that! I think people like that the place looks nice but not pretentious but I felt a little uncomfortable. The range of vibes were so different (I had a long skirt and top since it is a nicer steak house but someone next to me is be in jeans and a plain t shirt). We were really excited about their mushrooms which is written as their specialty and I was not a fan...unsure if it's cooked with red wine but it had a pungent red wine taste and probably wasn't reduced enough. I did enjoy my lobster tail and the wide variety of menu options for seafood and meat lovers. My medallion was seasoned and cooked well but my partner's was dry and bland. There was inconsistencies with the cookery which may also be due to it being Valentine's Day. Overall we enjoyed our experience and this beautiful restaurant but was expecting some things a little different!

Had a great experience and dinner at Cabin Club! The drinks were good! I had the sangria and a glass of Riesling and both were delicious. The wagyu beef carpaccio was good, but it would have been better if it was on a crostini or bread. We ended up using the bread they gave us for the table and put the beef on top. The steak was great. The lobster melted in your mouth. If you're a mushroom lover, the skillet of mushrooms is AMAZING!! Lindsay was our waitress and she provided exceptional service! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

One of the best crab cakes I've ever eaten!

Awesome service and delicious food! We had the best dinner. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and cozy. 10/10 recommend!!

At the Cabin Club last night to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and our daughters MBA graduation. It was a really great dining experience. The service was outstanding. Friendly and efficient!! We had crab cakes and scallops for appetizers and both were excellent. The Lobster Bisque and French Onion soup were excellent. We all had steaks of different cuts and they were all very tasty and cooked very well. Our waitress brought us two Chocolate Mousse deserts, compliments of the house. If you're looking for a great steak and seafood restaurant with atmosphere, service and quality food check out the Cabin Club!! I give it two thumbs up!!

We passed it up once and nearly missed it a second time. It's a big renovated barn, and the first floor is not very special, with a few tables and a small bar. Thankfully we ate on the second floor which was gracious and spacious. The prices are white cloth but weirdly the tables are clothless. Almost like a white/cream butcher block surface. And the barn atmosphere apparently lulls some guests into thinking jeans and T's are appropriate. I didn't care for that and wish the restaurant had a nicer dress code. Anyway, the star here is steak, and it didn't disappoint. As the specials were being rattled off (expertly by Shane who was terrific for us) it became clear that I wasn't gonna get the cut I wanted, as they hovered between 90-120 bucks. I can't believe where beef is in America right now...shameful. We settled for "Jake's Steaks" which were economical 10 oz sirloins perfectly prepared and very satisfying. Sides were big enough to share. A lobster pasta had al dente penne but the crustacean was fishier than I had hoped. Zero complaint about the luscious, rich, cheesy scalloped potatoes. A complimentary birthday cake was a classy touch for us. With a credit card dent of nearly 200 bucks, I wanted it to be 5 stars, but it came up just a sliver short. Still an enjoyable special occasion night out.

The…read morerestaurant itself is beautiful, it's a restored old barn, which gives it such a warm and unique atmosphere. We were seated on the second floor at a more intimate table, which made the evening feel even more special. We were celebrating two birthdays, mine and my son's and it ended up being such a great night. This was our son's first time at this restaurant. To start, we ordered the Girl Power appetizer, which was a half pound of breaded scallops served with dipping sauces. It ended up being about five large scallops and they were excellent, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked. The pretzel bread brought to the table was also fantastic, served with regular butter and a whipped peanut butter butter that was surprisingly delicious. For drinks, I ordered the seasonal mule, a blood orange mule that was refreshing and perfectly balanced. My younger son was excited to see mocktails on the menu and ordered the Berry Mint Refresher, which he loved. For our entrées, my husband ordered one of the steak specials, the Beverly, cooked rate with mushrooms and garlic butter. Myself and two sons all ordered the Stripper, their New York strip steak. My younger son had his cooked rare with garlic butter, while my older son and I ordered ours medium rare with garlic butter. The steaks were cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful. For sides, we shared the garlic mashed potatoes and the Gruyère mac & cheese, both of which were fantastic and complemented the steaks perfectly. Our server, Walter, was amazing from start to finish. He walked us through the menu, checked in with us several times, and made sure everything was perfect. His service really elevated the experience. Since we were celebrating two birthdays, we were surprised with a lovely small cake brought to the table so we could celebrate both occasions. It was such a thoughtful touch. Strip Steakhouse is truly top-notch and, in my opinion, one of the best steakhouses in the Cleveland area. It never disappoints, and we're already looking forward to our next special event to celebrate and visit.

I ordered the Crispy Brussels and she selected the Roasted Garlic Whipped Mascarpone. The pasta was delicious. And so were the Brussels. The Whipped Mascarpone was OK, although both of us thought the combination of the cheese, garlic, lemon, and pretzel crackers were a little too much. Both thought the garlic was too forward, and the mascarpone would have been better with just the lemon and/or perhaps with a touch of honey...even hot honey. The portions were all huge and we each took an additional meal home. Ordered coffee to end the evening and were delighted that they came as French Press coffee rather than just regular brewed. I felt like the fries didn't really add anything to it and were a bit plain and meh. I liked the fingerling potatoes a lot more. Their desserts are amazing. The facility is far bigger than I thought it would be. They have a central restaurant with multiple party centers on either side. It's a really BIG facility. New, modern, and quite attractive. With plenty of convenient parking. The wall of the restaurant that faces Cleveland Hopkins Airport is all glass. It affords you quite an impressive view of the airport and the planes landing. The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. All in all, our overall experience was "meh"... just "meh". Sorry - really probably should be 3.5

We dropped in for Happy Hour, looking for cocktails and a few bites, and were immediately struck by the well-appointed space. The runway views at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport added an unexpected layer of entertainment--watching planes take off and land while toasting 14 years of marital bliss felt like the perfect backdrop. We started strong with a French 75 and an Old Fashioned--both expertly crafted, but that Old Fashioned? Smooth, balanced, and memorable enough to set the tone for the entire evening. Wednesday happens to be Wing Day ($2 whole wings), and we took full advantage. We sampled Buffalo, Sweet & Tangy BBQ, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub, and the undeniable star of the show: Garlic Parmesan. Each had its own personality, but that Garlic Parmesan was simply elite. Service was impeccable--Emily was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our experience flowed as effortlessly as the cocktails. Speaking of which, round two brought a Cosmo alongside a repeat of that Old Fashioned...because when you find the right note, you stay in that key. For food, we shared the French Dip Baguette--shaved prime rib, provolone, horseradish aioli, and au jus done right--and paired it with the Mega Crunch Fries, elevated with sea salt, rosemary, and a light truffle oil drizzle. Simple menu items, executed with intention. We closed the evening the same way we began--together, with one final round of Old Fashioneds. A Happy Hour well spent. A celebration well honored. A 14-year journey still taking off.

Atmosphere was a wood, rustic, whiskey barrel feel and the food was great. Came back this year, and it was probably the most brutal restaurant experience I've had in a while. So Char is now called Avo Mexican, but they didn't change the atmosphere to replicate a Mexican place. It's still whiskey themed- with signs slapped on the old logo. They still have some of the old menu items from Char- which is so confusing too. When we walked in I asked the host if the bar was open seating. He said "oh I don't know" and walked away. We just sat at the bar since he didn't come back. We asked the Bartender what happened to Char and he said the owners wanted a rebrand. But it looked like a whiskey bar still....they didn't rebrand anything. I got a marg and my guy asked for a Mexican beer they used to have. Bartender said we haven't had that in a year. So they got rid of all their Mexican beers....? Even though they are now a Mexican place? So he ended up getting a Coors Light. My Marg lacked any sweetness or Agave. It was tequila and lime juice- poor bartender was struggling with 4 bar guests. It was kinda sad. I got a taco salad and my guy got a burger. He used to get the burger with fries, but now that it's Mexican, they only have chips. We had chips and guac for an app, so that was super annoying. Fries used to be really good. And who wants a burger without fries? Place wasn't busy, but our food took 35 minutes. Bartender kept apologizing and saying the kitchen was slammed. It clearly wasn't, I'm sure the cooks were adjusting to a new menu. Food was okay. Used to be really good, but I wouldn't recommend anymore. I guess they close at 8pm some days, because around 7:40 when we just had gotten our food, the bartender said it's last call. We were kinda laughing that they did a last call during normal dinner hours. My fiancé was considering getting another beer after dinner, but I guess they were closing...so weird. I've never seen a place close at peak dinner hours. No idea why they rebranded it. Confusing signage, food is not good anymore, drinks are bad, atmosphere doesn't make sense, menu is lackluster, service and kitchen are lacking, hours are bad. Sucks to write this, but I 100% will not be returning.
