Veggies on deck!

It has become a tradition to come on New Year's Eve and Arashi never disappoints. Try the single or multiple items on the grill by the excellent master chef.

Food is full of flavor, very delicious! The service was great we had Susan as our waitress she was on top of everything! Susan made sure we were good on drinks, and that we liked our food. Our chef was awesome also he did a lot of tricks for us. Great spot not crowded and everyone is very friendly.

Found this Teppan grill here on Yelp. We were at Murrieta Hot Springs for my birthday weekend and wanted something different from what was offered on the resort. The ambiance is great and fun. The staff is super friendly. We were seated with an elderly couple who were celebrating their anniversary. The server was very kind and offered to take their picture and offered an anniversary dessert. The food was delicious and our cook was very tentative. He offered my husband to make his food spicy. I would definitely recommend this place to patrons of the spa as well as friends.

Walked in.....Restaurant had a different smell and the floors were stcky. We were seated in the front end and this, (see photo) greeted us at our table. That was enough.

Spicy tuna crispy rice

Everything tasted good, this is the second time I've been here, I really enjoyed their fried rice. The spicy tuna crispy rice could've used a lot more tuna and a lot less rice, but tasted good. The service was decent they were busy so it's understandable. It's a casual place with good food and good chiefs and they do birthday celebrations. Definitely make reservations if you go.

Spicy Garlic Edamame

Wanted to try something different than shogun cause I didn't want to wait in a long line. Found this place and honestly I was feeling some type of way cause their onion soup and salad wasn't that great but when we got our actual orders, I can tell you that everything was delicious. Place was a bit empty but better for us, ambiance wasn't too loud or crazy. Would definitely come back. Customer service was great as well.

Filet and shrimp

We've been coming to this place on and off for the past few years, and it used to be one of our go-tos -- but yesterday's to-go order will be our last visit. We ordered two meals for pickup: one filet and shrimp, the other filet and scallop. At nearly $40 per plate, we expected quality -- or at the very least, something close to what we've gotten in the past. What we got instead was disappointing. The portions were so small, a lot less than we remember. The meat was not only overcooked, but we're pretty convinced it wasn't even filet. It had the texture and taste of a much cheaper cut, which made the price tag feel even more painful. Everything from the shrimp to the scallops to the veggies tasted bland and lifeless. The best part of the meal was the mushroom soup and fried rice...would have rather not spent $90 for that! My husband also mentioned the place looked run-down and grimey when he picked up the order -- definitely not how we remember it. Not sure if there's new management or if standards have just slipped. Sadly will not be going back anymore :(

When you're in the mood for teppanyaki and need last minute reservations for a big party, this is the place to go. The food and service are great and it's not as crowded compared to other similar places. It's smaller yet has more of a family feel to it.

They are very friendly and hard-working here. Service is wonderful, they offer a bit of discount at lunch. The show was fun, my son enjoyed it as well. The food was great. Very clean and well run restaurant.

Ask the Community - Arashi Teppan Steak & Sushi

Is the AYCE weekday lunch ever coming back?

They said Feb. 21

Do you offer garlic butter?

Yes we do! One of our signature ingredients is the garlic butter. Unfortunately, we do not offer butter and garlic separately as it is all premade.

Is the teppan grill menu available at 1130 on saturdays or only the kitchen and sushi menu?

The Teppan grill menu is available 7 days a week for both lunch and dinner. We have a separate lunch special menu (available Monday through Thursday. 11:30-2:30pm) that is…

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

Here's a version with a smarter, warmer tone and some playful humor:…read more Some restaurants serve great food. Others make you feel like family. Ryu somehow manages to do both. We've been coming here since they first opened years ago, and it's still our go-to sushi spot. Jenny is an absolute treasure. She somehow remembers details about our family and friends that even we occasionally have to stop and think about. She knows our usual order, remembers which sauces we love, and greets us like we've just returned from a long voyage instead of missing sushi night. At this point, we're fairly certain she has either a photographic memory... or an FBI-level file on us. Either way, we adore her. As for the food? Dangerous. The sushi is phenomenal, the miso soup is pure comfort in a bowl, the tempura is perfectly crisp, and the ramen and noodle dishes are outrageously delicious. Every visit begins with, "We'll keep it light today," and ends with us wondering if there's enough room for "just one more roll." The restaurant is always spotless, the décor is beautiful, and the entire atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Ryu has spoiled us to the point that eating mediocre sushi elsewhere now feels like a personal betrayal. We'll see you all again very soon... probably sooner than our waistlines would recommend!

We are back here after almost four years. And it was delicious!…read more The broth and noodles in my chicken ramen was perfect. Chewy, not mushy noodles. Rich broth, flavorful, not too salty. If you go for the all you can eat sushi, make sure you have a good appetite. Their rolls are huge. The rice in the rolls fills you up fast. They have so many options to choose from. Take your pick and enjoy. We were here almost four years ago when there were huge wild fires going on. It was the day we closed escrow, so we have some cash in hand. We treated Riverside county fire fighters to a meal. They treated us to dessert!

Perfect for anniversary dinner:…read more Omakase sushi is one of the most refined and memorable dining experiences you can have, especially if you appreciate attention to detail, freshness, and craftsmanship. From the moment you sit down, there's a clear sense that this is not just a meal--it's a curated journey guided entirely by the chef's expertise and intuition. What makes omakase stand out is the trust you place in the chef. Instead of choosing dishes yourself, you allow the chef to present a sequence of sushi that highlights the best ingredients available that day. This often results in a progression that feels intentional and balanced, starting with lighter, more delicate flavors and gradually moving toward richer, more complex pieces. Each bite is thoughtfully designed to showcase the natural qualities of the fish, the texture of the rice, and the subtle interplay of seasoning. The freshness of the ingredients is immediately noticeable. High-quality omakase typically features fish flown in from top markets, and you can taste the difference. The fish is clean, tender, and often melts in your mouth. The rice, which is just as important as the fish, is seasoned perfectly--slightly warm, lightly vinegared, and shaped with precision so it holds together without being dense. Another standout aspect is the craftsmanship. Watching the chef prepare each piece right in front of you adds a level of appreciation you don't get with standard dining. Every movement is deliberate, from slicing the fish to forming the rice to brushing on just the right amount of soy or adding a touch of wasabi. It becomes clear that years of training and discipline go into even the simplest-looking piece of sushi. Omakase also introduces you to varieties of fish and preparations you might never order on your own. This expands your palate and helps you discover new favorites. Seasonal ingredients often play a role, which keeps the experience dynamic and unique each time you go. Service is typically intimate and attentive, especially if you're seated at the counter. The chef may explain each piece, offer guidance on how to eat it, or adjust the pacing based on your preferences. This interaction adds a personal element that enhances the overall experience. While omakase can be more expensive than regular sushi, the value lies in the quality, skill, and overall experience. It's not just about eating--it's about enjoying a carefully orchestrated meal that reflects both tradition and creativity. Overall, omakase sushi delivers a level of quality and thoughtfulness that's hard to match. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines artistry, flavor, and a sense of occasion, omakase is absolutely worth it.

All of the servers were friendly, attentive, and quick to check in on us. We never had to flag anyone down or wait long for assistance. The menu offers a great variety of options, making it easy to find something for everyone. We ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Udon, Garlic Edamame, and a variety of rolls. Everything came out quickly, was fresh, and tasted great. The ramen and rolls were especially enjoyable, and there wasn't much left behind except for the broth. The only item that missed the mark for me was the Garlic Edamame. It was coated in quite a bit of sauce, which ended up overpowering the flavor of the edamame itself. I'd recommend ordering it with less sauce or asking for it on the lighter side if possible. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the food was good, and the service was attentive. If I'm back in the area, I'd definitely stop by again.
