I stopped by this shop yesterday after eating lunch at a small place next door. I wanted to get a dessert treat for my friend mom so I knew this would be the best choice. When I walked inside, they were not busy at all and I was trying to look at their menu but they didn't really have one that I saw. So I asked my wife what is a popular dessert dish and she said bionico so I told the lady working that I would like that with everything. She confirmed with me if I wanted the toppings like granola and etc on it as well and I asked if I could get it on the side. She accommodated me with my request and then asked if I also wanted condensed milk which I decline. I was going to pay with my credit card until I saw that they charge a 4 percent fee so luckily I had cash on me. The lady working was very nice and double bagged the bionico so it can help protect it if it leaks. My friend family really like the bionico especially since they were able to add whatever toppings they wanted to it. read more

I have been coming to this establishment for years. I am very disappointed with my recent trip because every other time that I have come to order the Cheetos con pepinos they have given me more than enough, Pepinos and condiments. As of today I have received an exact amount of 10 cucumber slices, an entire bag of Cheetos, and a sprinkle of tajin. I am paying for the price of a Cheetos bag which at a liquor store cost about $2.50 and an entire cucumber costs about $.95. Please tell me how it makes sense that I pay almost $10 for this treat and yet it is less than what it is worth. I am incredibly disappointed. This is my second experience at a paleteria place and it was great! I got a milk-based paleta with snickers. It was very good. They also had a great selection of water-based ones and homemade ice cream as well - I was chatting with the owner (Geronimo, who is also called "Gero" pronounced "Hero") and he told me they make everything on site daily. Since I am new to these types of places I had asked him what the Tostitos bag treat was and he explained "Tostilocos" to me as well as the other specials there that the people who know what they're doing like to order. The owner is a very nice lady who is always so helpful. They make everything from scratch. They don't ship it from anywhere. They make in it their kitchen. My favorite is the Chongos ice cream and the tres leches. They also make the best hot Cheeto esquire ever. They add enough cheeto dust and mayo and butter to make it rich and creamy with every bite. They're so gooood and also deliver!! We were craving ice cream after dinner but were feeling lazy to go out, so we were lucky to have found this. I love that they have unique flavors that aren't typical to white-American ice cream shops. I mean, obviously they'll have flavors inspired by Michoacán/Mexico but I've never seen a gansito flavor before!! I ordered a two scoop of gansito and bubulubu, which pretty much embodies the Mexican candy namesake. The Gansito flavor had small bits of gansito pastry in it too as well as flecks of chocolate. The bubulubu had like a marshmallows ice cream with strawberry syrup and bits of chocolate, just like the candy!! My boyfriend got the Rompope which tasted just right. Their ice creams were sooo creamy and good. My brother in law got a mangoneada that had a loooot of chamoy which was awesome. I hate it when you don't get enough chamoy, but this was just right. I purchased a few things the day of their soft opening. 1st: Paleta of strawberry filled with condensed milk... oh boy is that thing a guilty pleasure of mine. 2nd: I tried the cucumber paleta (gosh how refreshing!) 3rd: I tried the bubble gum flavored paleta (wow, it was delicious and didn't make my whole mouth turn blue. Not overly sweet as I expected) 4th: lemon flavored paleta (it was a perfect combination of sweet and sour) 5th: Mangoniada (not many know what this is, but if you like mango combined with chili I recommend!) This place was so much fun! We were looking for a yogurt shop in that area and found this place on yelp and it was a delightful alternative to the usual fro-yo joint. They have oodles of hand made popsicles, in nearly every flavor you can imagine (strawberries and cream, snickers, lime, chili cucumber, pina colada...the list goes on! Many have a Mexican flair, which is a fun new experience.
