    Bionico
    Kristine H.

I had a craving for Bionico and decided to try it out. There were a lot of dessert options available, and I ordered my Bionico. Unfortunately, it came out a bit too runny for my liking. I kept asking for condensed milk on top, but there seemed to be a misunderstanding in communication. Nevertheless, it wasn't bad overall.

Sooo yummmmy and freshly made Elote 100000/100000

It was my first time visiting this store and I know 200% I'll be coming back again and here is why 1. Extremely clean 2. Such sweet and kind customer service staff 3. Ice cream and corn was so fresh and delicious 4. Very fairly priced 5. Such large variety of choices for the popsicles Thank you for making my first visit so special and we enjoyed the corn and ice cream very much! We will be back soon and I know will be there even more often during the hot days of summer!

    Cheetos with Cucumber

I have been coming to this establishment for years. I am very disappointed with my recent trip because every other time that I have come to order the Cheetos con pepinos they have given me more than enough, Pepinos and condiments. As of today I have received an exact amount of 10 cucumber slices, an entire bag of Cheetos, and a sprinkle of tajin. I am paying for the price of a Cheetos bag which at a liquor store cost about $2.50 and an entire cucumber costs about $.95. Please tell me how it makes sense that I pay almost $10 for this treat and yet it is less than what it is worth. I am incredibly disappointed. If you go there make sure you are watching them like a hawk because they'll give you less than what they are advertising.

    Paletas galore!
    Gena C.

This place is a GEM in Sylmar! A must stop whenever I'm in town visiting. The staff are all so friendly. The selection here is AMAZING! I mainly stick to paletas, because that's my thing, but whether you want sweet or savory, there is something here for everyone. Pricing is great, especially for the quality you're getting. Make sure you stop by if you live in the area or if you're just passing through. Paletas pictured: Left-Right: mango, mango y chamoy, vanilla dipped in chocolate with sprinkles, crunch bar, horchata, tres leches, cafe, strawberry, cookies and cream, pistachio

Agua Fresca de Pepino and paleta de fresa
    Crystal V.

I normally get tostilocos con mango but today was a hot day so I grabbed an agua fresca de pepino and a paleta de fresa. So refreshing!! This place is never super busy so I never have to wait long. The customer service here is great and everyone is always so nice! I will be back for more snacks!

    Snickers paleta

This is my second experience at a paleteria place and it was great! I got a milk-based paleta with snickers. It was very good. They also had a great selection of water-based ones and homemade ice cream as well - I was chatting with the owner (Geronimo, who is also called "Gero" pronounced "Hero") and he told me they make everything on site daily. Since I am new to these types of places I had asked him what the Tostitos bag treat was and he explained "Tostilocos" to me as well as the other specials there that the people who know what they're doing like to order. The place was very clean, nice and friendly. It was nice to hear Geronimo's story of how they opened this place up because his wife's family used to do it in Mexico and how much they enjoy it. Even though I don't live in super closeby, I will return whenever I am in the area!

    mangonada

very very mid mangonada. they didn't even add tajin and the mango ice cream is not the best. if you're really craving something and this is the only place that's open, just wait until the next day

Rocky road and fruity pebbles ($2 per scoop, total $4)
    Ojeni O.

Super cute place to stop for some ice cream. Their cream ice creams have unique flavors that you cannot find in a grocery store. They have some other non-desert snacks like corn with toppings. Also, the female employee was so sweet and gave us some samples. Side note: totally recommend the fruity pebbles ice cream! It really tasted like fruity pebbles!

Serving up mangoneadas ! Highly recommend !

Sabores Michoacán provided delicious and refreshing treats for my daughters drive by meet and greet . They had a great set up , wore masks, and provided great service . I ordered paletas, mangoneadas, and biónicos . They hit the spot on a warm summer night . I would definitely hire them again .

    Esquites

I'the ration of cheese to corn is gross. I understand the pandemic made things hard for businesses but trying to make it look like it's a full cup of corn by adding so much cheese at the top is gross. My esquite was un editable :/ Way to lose a long time customer

Mangoneada too bad it's just good looks :-/
    Vanessa H.

Been coming here off and on since they opened, I really wanted a nice warm "esquite" corn in a cup (see pix). I did get other items like a mangoneada and two scoops of ice cream, but I never expected to get my corn served cold to me (2nd time this happened) or that the mangoneada ice cream flavor was bland. I guess I simply expected a rich flavor and better quality, but I guess I'll have to drive further down to the franchise Michoacán or Baskin Robins for consistency or quality, I'm disappointed :(

New local spot for some Michoacan style treats. We liked the Ice Cream and the Nachos (don't judge) service was prompt and prices were fair, Aloha

Then, an eternity ago, it closed and we were sad. Then Long Beach Creamery opened and we weren't that sad for that long, but still, I absolutely still thought about them every once in a while, sad that they'd left. Then, a much closer eternity ago (about a year ago - I've been super burned-out and not finishing my reviews), I was on my way from an event back to the blue line and walked by and noticed that they had, in fact, just moved. So obviously we had to get some. Verdict - yes, it absolutely was as good as I remembered. I wouldn't go back to DTLA just for ice cream, Long Beach Creamery being walking distance and wonderful, but I would absolutely stop here if I were back in DTLA and wanted ice cream. It's a bit pricey, but all craft ice cream is going to be, and it is definitely craft. And you can save a lot by getting a 3-scoop, which is very much enough to share for two people, if not slightly too much.

Thank goodness I did, because the cashier came up to my table about 10 minutes later and handed me a little bag of fresh-ground matcha. She took a second to explain to me how to store it and keep it fresh, and I just really appreciated the extra bit of customer service, even if it's something they're maybe expected to do. When I have the money, I'll definitely come back and get their 100g pack! They have so many locations and only wish they had more. The closest to me is about 20mins away but it's worth the drive every time. I love this location especially. Always such friendly staff and never have to wait in a long line. Basically, if you're a newbie, you go in and ALWAYS as for the "seasonal flavors" for tasting. They give you tasters on silver spoons and you drop it down this hole when you're done. It's literally their culture to give you a taste of everything on their seasonal menu so don't skip out on this experience. It's the best way to try their ice cream. FUN FACT: they also have 1-2 flavors that are considered "last chance" flavors which means they are about to run out so get it before it's gone. Each month I go in to try another tasty flavor and it never disappoints but I am sometimes that girl who tries the new stuff but ends up getting her usual order (chocolate brownie) and am always happy. Just the smell of sugar cone alone when you walk in gets you hooked. The atmosphere is just so welcoming. Don't be intimidated by the many flavors to choose from because there are a lot. I like to get their double scoop in a waffle cone, but they also have awesome split scoop options for those more adventurous and want to try multiple flavors in one scoop.
